Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the MBA38 38-inch Microphone Boom Arm's sturdiness, reasonable price, compatibility, and useful length. The metal construction and boom arm design also contribute to positive customer experiences. However, some customers feel that the movement at the base could be improved. Overall, the boom arm seems to be well-received for its quality and functionality.

Finally the mic arm I've been looking for

This is the fourth mic boom arm I've tried, and this one does what I need, finally. I have a shelf over my desk, and want the mic to come out over my head just above the frame when I'm recording presentations. This arm is extremely long, giving me great possibilities whether I'm sitting in front of my computer or standing up to present in front of a green screen. The arm will come out completely horizontal if I want. Not only that, but while many boom arms pad only the top side of the clamp, this one has padding on both sides so you won't damage the top of the bottom of the surface you are clamping to. The one thing to be aware of is that the minimum angle is a little more than 90 degrees. So while the boom arm will extend out very far, there's a minimum distance you will be to the place where you clamped the arm. So keep in mind that if you don't want 48 of extension, you may want to order a smaller model like the MBA38 so as to have more flexibility to get closer to where you clamped the mic

I haven’t had the product for a super long time, but I can say that for the price, this arm is strong! I have a pod mic attached to it, which has some decent weight I might add, and it does it’s job perfectly. I was so worried I was buying an arm that couldn’t support my microphone. I looked into RØDE’s mic stand because it seemed fitting, but those fancy arms are so expensive, where as this one is $50+ cheaper. It comes with straps to help with your mic cable, 2 options for desk mounts, and built in channels for the XLR to run between. Fantastic option for someone who doesn’t have a whole lot to spend on extra items.

Somewhat stiff but works great for most mics

It is a little stiff to move around and in my setup i have to move my mic in and out of position when i start and stop using it. It isnt the end of the world and probably will be helpful if i get an xlr mic later instead of the Wave mic. It holds the Elgato Wave mic, pop filter, and shock mount with no issues and no sag. Replaced a cheap $10 arm off ebay and you can tell this is higher quality plus the extra length on the arms is great in my setup where i needed to stretch it across the desk sometimes.

Great boom. Holds up well, vibration resistant, and cost effective. Will not break your bank. Movement can be improved upon at the base, otherwise, a good starter. Not flimsy, Sturdy.

Bought this for my boyfriend since his last one broke. He's had 0 issues. It supports his heavy mic that he uses for streaming and editing. It's worth the price, durable, and easy to set up.

    So-so cable management, good cable

The good: Sturdy, nice length, and the cable management eventually works well. The bad: to get any but the cheapest cables through the cable management, you have to remove the end caps that were clearly never meant to be removed. Once the cable is in, though, it’s out of sight.

I bought this to replace an arm I had bought years before and I have to say its worth the money. It holds the weight of the Shure mic, is long enough to reach over monitors or across the desk, and its very steady.

This is a really good boom arm, it stays out of the way while still reaching exactly where you want it too. Cable management is very nice with the notches it has by its hinges! The reach is also quite nice, I don't have to have it right in the way anymore! It is a little stiff, which means it can be harder to move at times, but at the same time, it doesn't move from the place you put it! So it can go either way on if its a good thing or a bad thing, especially when you use the attachment that you screw into your desk. Sometimes it could sound like its pulling the wood apart. Other then that this is a really good boom arm, that has impressed me in more ways then one! Definately worth the buy!

Its sad that blue (the makers of the yeti mic) cant make a good boom arm for their own profuct. The spring tension on the compass was so strong it just wouldnt position the way i wanted. But THIS boom arm, took 2 minutes to setup and it literally goes where i want it to go with no rising or drooping , so on that note , instant five stars for me. And its cheaper
