I purchased this to be used with a outdoor movie screen & projector for a birthday party. Even with all the background noise the speakers held u[ very well & made the outdoor movie experience great. I would highly recommend this product it has great value for the price.

I needed some speakers that would play music loudly and clearly from my laptop and iPhone. This is great. I have used it to stream Bluetooth without drops. I also use it with a cable directly to my TV and it has great sound.

Great monitors!!! The amplified set of speakers help you to hear your music in a new light. A great set of speakers for High's and Mid's. I would purchase this brand again.

I've had these for a month and I really love them.
I have them connected to a turntable with a built-in pre-amp with no other gear.
Even without a subwoofer, these are filling my room with decent sound.
The only thing I wish these had is a remote!

Before now I had never heard of Samson speakers/monitors. I had the choice of M Audio, Samson and some other brand. Don't think I went wrong choosing Samson. Love the Bluetooth feature too

Good for price and Bluetooth functionality

There are way better speakers out there and if you never intend on using these with the bluetooth pairing I'd suggest getting the klispch thx 2.1 instead, but these speakers fill a room with sound, and after their break in period have a very decent sound. These are not the best sounding speakers by far, but their function and portability plus ease of use and multi port function make them worth price.

Good Speaker Bad Jack

Going on my third set. The first two died because I was using my beats tour ear buds plugged into the headset jack for late night listening on my computer. So I advise DO NOT USE the headphone jack on these monitors with headsets or earbuds that have a mic implemented. Regular headsets and earbuds without the inline mic or controls should work without a problem. Something with the built in mic or controls kills the right speaker. Seems to be a sensor flaw design with these speakers.

In theory, this is a great product. A decent set of studio monitors at a decent price, with an analog input and bluetooth. They look great too.
However, the actual quality of this product is abysmal.
First, the bluetooth is poorly implemented. Let me explain.. A2DP has two ways to handle buffer underruns: stutter or stop the sound, or adjust the pitch until the buffer catches up. Neither is good, but if you're going to rely on the second, you want to minimize the pitch shifting - especially for studio monitors used for music production.
Samson apparently felt that they wanted to use as little buffer as possible (saving costs?) - as these guys pitch shift like a 13 year old going through puberty. Which means the stream is having buffer underruns, which means the reception is poor. This happened on both my PC and my Macbook with the speakers no more than 24 inches away from the computer. So this means the speakers have a lousy internal antenna, too.
Some people may not notice the pitch shift. I certainly did, constantly.
Bluetooth feature: C-. Not reliable.
As far as the sound itself, one of the speakers sounded great. ONE of them. The master unit with the power / bluetooth worked well and was able to handle a full frequency range.
The second (left) speaker, however, not so much. In low frequency portions I would hear random rattling and buzzing from the left speaker. Highs were clipped. I can understand that the two speakers are designed differently as one has a lot more electronics in it than the other (power, bluetooth, amp) - but the inconsistency was amazing. Stereo imaging was all over the place due to this, and it was impossible to get the two adjusted consistently.
Sound quality: D-.
So, what is this product good for? Maybe you're in a loud auto shop and want background music or a doctor's waiting room with smooth jazz muzak that wouldn't be harmed by the pitch shift or weird frequency response. Anything else? Move on, please. Mine are being returned today.
