It’s probably a good beginner’s recorder but lack on noise blocks

My son was using this for gaming videos. At first it worked great but suddenly sound was not working after less than a few months of use. Not sure what the issue was. Words were intact no damage to item just quit working :(

Yes yes we use the same time and I do have a little time for the morning and I will work for a little while we are going tomorrow to do a lot to get some work tomorrow and I can get a few more y

But I can't say that I use it as much as I thought I would.

I found this Mic to be OK for Desktop placement but not NOT good for handheld use. The shape and design make it awkward to handle. Handheld is better for even voice volume necessary for recording voice overs for presentation material. This Mic is not good for that purpose.

I wanted to record vocals... my opinion so far is kind of mixed... I think my much cheaper LG Headset w/mic may end up being a better option than this one, based on the recordings I've done so far with it.

Just received, will take a while to figure out if it suits my needs. The coupon for the noise cancellation software is expired. Not sure if $3.99 software is any great loss.

I tried to get it to work for me to record audiobooks at home. Finally decided to use a headset because the chance of background noise is much reduced. Cute design.

The microphone goes out on me all the time, so have tried to figure out my settings. Samson blames it on Microsoft, so not useable for me. I bought it for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Skype calls/video conferencing. One day they may help, but no forums helpful that I’ve found.

As a audio engineering student... Sound quality is great! the mic is compact and also looks cool which is a bonus. It comes with a nice velvet bag for storage. It has a cardioid pick up pattern. Definetly read the instructions for set up as it specifies to go into your computer audio settings and connected devices options, so that you can record and hear everything properly. This is super easy to do!!! I use this for radio/ podcasting purposes both in and outside of my classes. I also use Audacity as a editing software to fine tune my sound. I highly recommend this mic as a beginner. Even with out some minor editing, the sound is great! positioning the mic about 18 inches (give or take) ensures that the audio is not too loud. This is just a personal experience / trial and error distance of course. It packs a punch and is pretty good on price, great quality and easy to use. I definitely recommend!

It was ok. It just gave a more visible microphone. The quality was not the best.

Am running windows 10 and had a hard time using this device. Instructions were not very helpful

This really didn't do what we had hoped that it would.

I tried to use the mic for video conferencing. Had to return it because the other side heard a strange screeching sound when using this mic. Had high hopes for this and it looks really nice, but could not use it.

I read several expert opinion and literature about USB microphones. I tested 4 standalone microphones, 1 webcam microphone and laptop integrated microphone together. If you are interested in listening to sound comparison on YouTube, Just lookup - Multiple microphone unboxing and sound test . Little background: My son has setup his recording station in his bedroom (i.e. home environment) and it is not a recording booth. We already own ATR2100 which is a great microphone but my son did not want the microphone in the video so he needed something that can record his sound clearly from 20 Inches and ATR2100 is not meant for that purpose. Many people will argue to use XLR + USB Audio interface (to add gain). They are right but with inexpensive USB Audio interface devices (anything below $100) also add unpleasant white noise. So, let us get back to METEOR. . Yes, you figured it right – Meteor can capture clear and crisp audio from 16-20 Inches distance. It is an awesome microphone for YouTubers who post gameplays and do not want the microphone in the video. It is also without a doubt an awesome mic. for singers and podcasters as well. You can without any hesitation compare this with Yeti. Though Yeti costs almost twice as much as this Microphone, this little guy is capable to stand up to YETI with super awesome sound recording quality. If Samson put a gain knob on it I would happily pay $20 more and I would prefer it over YETI. Now don’t get me wrong, YETI does sound slightly better but its not easy to tell (try the youtube video I mentioned above with closed eye and tell me if you can distinguish between YETI & METEOR sound. My favorite feature is its size and folding integrated legs (stands) which are easy to open and fold (as easy as opening a book). It you travel a lot and record video or do meetings, this one is going to suit your requirement. It is also a very good looking microphone, completely chrome plated. . Meteor is like a little wrestler who is fighting the giants and still seems to be defending its championship belt well. All standalone mics that I bought recorded sound with great clarity but Meteor definitely makes it to my list of my favorite three microphones. Though i did not keep it as we decided to keep YETI. My son needed that gain knob and its fixed on a table, so we don't have to worry about weight and size of YETI. . I would highly recommend this microphone to anyone who is starting new and cares about quality recording, has a budget of less than $100 and needs something that is not large. . The speech therapy program used a microphone with less features, yet after years of use the hardware malfunctioned. This microphone was sold as a better unit. It did not work for us since Windows said it was an unknown device. This meant the program did not recognize new hardware as a microphone thus would not synch with the software. We returned for a duplicate of the original which is working fine.

It has a nice look but dint come with instructions and on top of that have to buy the download

It didn't work as I thought it would on my computer. Didn't appear to be compatible to work. I did return it.
