    I got this a a replacement for my 10+ yrs old GE profile spacemaker XL. I was reluctant to get it because I've read several reviews in which people complain of the door handle breaking off while under warranty and samsung refuses to replace. I have not had any issues so far. My only complaint is the lack of a one touch cook feature.

    I've only had this microwave for a few weeks and am still learning to operate it. My last microwave was very simple to operate because it had so few functions. This one has many different functions and also a sensor function. It has simple lines and looks good. The fan has 4 different speeds and really works well. So far I am pleased.

    Last Samsung died after 4 yrs. Hopefully this one's better. GOOD: light illuminates more area, grease filter easier to remove, top vent looks better. BAD: dark interior harder to clean, button for light not as conveniently-placed, a bit noisier. Bakes potatoes, softens/melts butter great. Reheating plate of food terrible - way too hot!

      Thanks for the feedback, jnjl! Glad to hear the positive overall and hope to shed some "light" on your concerns. The ceramic enamel interior of the ME18H704SFB Microwave is scratch resistant and it should actually be easy to clean the surface since it's non-porous and won't stain. Perhaps you find it harder to clean because the darker surface makes it harder to actually see where the cleaning is needed?

      Please keep in mind when using Sensor Cooking to reheat food that the Microwave should be allowed to cool for at least 5 minutes in between Sensor Cooking uses or the food may overcook, as mentioned on page 12 of the manual.

    Easy to use and clean. The hood portion has 4 speeds which provides nice flexibility. Interior surface matches our oven.
