    Absolutely awful product. Literally could not be worse. Broke 3 times in 6 months. The only thing worse than the microwave was Samsung customer service. I will never, ever buy a Samsung product again. Buy this product at your own risk.

    Delivered with a dent

    I had this shipped to me. When delivered, the box was fine but when we pulled the microwave put, it had a big dent in the side of it. And a little ding in the front. I didn't want to return it, because who knows who they'd blame it on. Other than that, I love my new microwave.

    DO NOT BUY A SAMSUNG APPLIANCE. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. We purchased a Samsung microwave in 11/19 after having a GE microwave for 17 years. Six months after purchasing the microwave displayed an “SE” and the microwave was not able to be used. We tried to unplug, turn off at the breaker, etc…. Apparently an SE error code indicates that you have a stuck key on the control keypad or a failed electronic control board so I contacted Samsung. I uploaded a copy of my receipt and I was told it was not under warranty (but it has a year warranty?) so after several phone calls they took it under review and a week later they approved the warranty. Next! I must schedule a repair visit…Great!! I was scheduled for June 26th, it was June 15th….after dealing with phone calls and the online scheduling system I was notified via text message that my repair visit has been moved to July 6th. So….another call to Samsung. Come to discover there is only ONE service provider Samsung contracts with in New Jersey, eastern Pa and NYC…QuickService and they are not helpful! When I call Samsung to see why my repair visit was moved they said that they will try to locate another service center (but there isn’t one) and contact me in 2 days. A few days later I am contacted with a new repair date of July 10th because they canceled the date date on July 6th and the next date was July 10th. A whole week goes by and I get a text that my repair request has been cancelled all together because of COVID…mind you they have told me it was perfectly safe for them to come in to my home 2 weeks earlier and COVID has been around for 3 months. I asked them if I can get a refund on the appliance so I can purchase a new one? NO! When will I be able to have the microwave serviced? UNKNOWN! They will not be scheduling any service repairs or issuing refunds or replacing their equipment that has failed under warranty. Resolution…we ended up spending money to buy a new GE and had to waste the $400 and threw the Samsung microwave in the garbage.

    First one was inoperative right out of the box. Check it before you install it (I didn't). Second one works but it's under powered. Takes twice as long to cook as our last 1kw oven. Cheaply made, I hope it works for a while.

    the second Samsung 1.8 we've purchased. Only 1.5 years old (6 months out of warranty) and it's dead again. Electrical burn smell.

    We bought this microwave 3/11/17. From day one, the buttons were hard to push. Then, about two months ago a crack showed up on the bottom left side of the door, two weeks later another crack by the top of the door handle. Today, we cannot turn off the vent. We unplugged it, plugged it back in and the vent is still on. It is out of warranty, so now we have to go spend more money to replace a microwave that is not even two years old.

    I Will Never Buy Samsung Again!

    I replaced my entire kitchen with Samsung appliances 2 years ago. I did not purchase an extended warranty on the microwave due to the low price of it...but definitely expected it to last for at least 5+ years. Boy was I wrong! Within 2 years, the microwave has died and Samsung isn't willing to stand behind their product. I first held for a very long time to speak to a representative who initially offered a courtesy coverage of the parts...but then retracted that, stating the system wouldn't allow her to input it. They also offered to refer me to a repair company who wanted to charge $80 for the trip, $80 for labor and additional fees for the parts. I said no thanks! If I'm going to pay $160+ for a repair, I can just go and buy a new one! By the way, it's on sale today for $219.99. I'm still waiting to hear back from the manager to see if they can indeed override parts coverage. It's been a week now...and no return phone call. At the end of the day, I have to make a decision because I need a microwave. I'd like to keep all of my appliances in the same family but because of this terrible experience, I'm being forced to buy another brand. I'm very disappointed with Samsung!

    My first Samsung appliance, purchased 11/21/2016. So it's 2 years old. Only 1 user. Used mostly to reheat/defrost. Worked fine; no complaints. Stopped heating on 1/29/2019. Power worked, turntable worked, but didn't heat anything on any setting. Service came today. Over $400 to repair. Service call was $109. No more Samsung appliances for me and seriously considering purchasing an extended warranty in the future. My last microwave lasted 20 years.

    So I didn't buy this microwave, but it was new when I bought my house. (house was flipped kitchen completely brand new). I have only used it for 3 years and it is full of issues. My main issue is it overheats, I mean the plate that is the turn table gets so hot you see steam coming off of it. I had to use pot holders to take it out of the microwave, this should be microwave safe you would assume if it comes with the microwave. There is an E11 error for Popcorn sensor, so I can't use that. All the other preset buttons over cook everything. The food comes out just piping hot, boiling, burnt so it clearly isn't "sensing" well. Tonight, the plate was so darn hot... the lights dimmed for a second and then the fan suddenly turned on by itself. and if you try to turn it off you can't. Apparently this is a safety feature when it overheats the fan will run to cool it down but after 30 minutes and I took the hot plate out and let it cool down it wouldn't turn off still. I contacted live chat with samsung and they told me to unplug it and LEAVE it unplugged, to not plug it back in until it is serviced. I think this microwave is a fire hazard. I have read other reviews about fires, and it clearly over cooks things and overheats. It is only 3 years old and it needs replaced. VERY disappointed.

    Not worth the money

    I am very unhappy with this microwave! My 15 year old Kenmore cooked and worked so much better. This one can't even pop a bag of popcorn correctly. Forget about being able to cook something in the microwave and use the kitchen timer for something else because that can't happen. There are so many things that disappoint me about this microwave.

    Dead in two days

    Bought it Friday night. Dead as the Samsung it was replacing by Sunday evening. BestBuy is closed now so we will see how easy the replacement process is tomorrow.

    Quit heating 14 months after purchase.

    Unbelieveable ! After our 11 year old GE quit, I had trouble finding a microwave that had mounting holes in the top that would not interfere with the integrity of the cabinet we were going to hang it from. I even had to make a template of the top, so I knew the holes wouldn't destroy the screw joints in the cabinet. (they were made like Ikea used to make cabinets). First thing I would check, when we went in the store, was the tops of all microwaves to see if they would work. Finally found the Samsung at Best Buy. Installed last July, and it stopped working yesterday, 9-24-19. Called Samsung, and they said "Out of Warrantee", but if the magnatron is bad, it is covered for 10 years, so Samsung will provide it free, but you will have to pay the labor, which might be as much as $200.00 or more". We decided it would be cheaper to buy another one, but not a Samsung, (If we can help it). I am kind of surprised that Best Buy would not step in and help......14 months old !!! Talk about built in obsolesence. a very unhappy Customer.

    Died just after a year of use.

    Evidently the mangnetron (or it housing) in these are faulty. Finally had to replace it after the same parts failed for the third time. According to the BB tech the housing was heavily arced which cause the crackling sound on startup. Avoid this model. We had a Whirlpool that it replaced that worked for 23 years. So its dependability is questionable.

    Don't buy it

    Bought the first in the fall of 2012. Intermittent, finally stopped working. Bought the second on 4/8/2016 Intermittent, finally stopped working. My mistake for buying the second one, I was lazy and wanted to slide it into the previous footprint. Plus the salesperson at BB mentioned how the Florida humidity can affect these. Huh??? My dumb. Have an LG working in Mass. for the last 15 years. My wife has a (cheap) Whirlpool working in her lake house in Maine for 20 years. Anything but Samsung. We bought their washers and dryers in FL and MA and had to live through THOSE recalls. Very disappointing, as our family is coming down to FL next week, and we will probably need to run around and buy whatever is in stock, and can be installed quickly. Very expensive series of lessons. Can't really fault Best Buy, except for the salesman's inane comment. That I was stupid enough to listen to (in a hurry again). Arrggh

    Never again!

    This microwave does not allow simultaneous use of the timer and oven functions; you can't time something when the oven is heating, or heat if the timer is on. This is not noted in the manual, and Samsung didn't seem to know it when I called; they sent a service provider who came, ordered parts, returned and installed the parts only to find that the problem was not fixed. Tech support then told them that this is normal for current Samsung microwaves. I've had many microwaves, all of which allow for timer and oven use at the same time. Multiple requests to speak to a customer service supervisor to discuss this issue have been ignored. No more Samsung for me!

    Has not been a goo purchase. Hears things fine but had to have the touchpad replaced within a year, at least it was under warranty. Now the doorr latch broke, and you have to replace the whole door, not cost effective. Less then 4 yrs.old.

    Christmas Eve Smoke Bomb

    This microwave was installed on September 8, 2018 by the Geek Squad. I also purchased a complete Samsung kitchen appliance bundle just so my appliances would match. (nothing wrong with my old except the color) On Christmas Eve December 24, 2018 while warming up some potatoes my entire house filled with a toxic smoke and a burnt plastic odor so strong it was difficult to breathe. All I could think of was... what if my son who is disabled was home alone and had been using it! After Googling the problem Consumer Affairs website shows literally 100s of complaints about the Samsung microwaves catching fire. As of today I still have no resolution to this disaster! Samsung wants to send a "technician" to diagnose the problem. The problem is now that I want my money refunded and this piece of trash removed... in my heart that is the only cure to keep my family safe.

    Died in 9 months

    Actually made this purchase to replace the identical model that died after only 9 months. I would never have bought the same one again if not for the gigantic hassle of installing a model with a different template/footprint in the wall and cabinet. It worked fine before it died and cooked evenly and thoroughly, but even a $250 microwave should last at least a year! To top it off, warranty service from Samsung is a complete joke. They refused to repair it because "we don't have a technician who can repair it" and instead offered a refund. Over a month later and said refund still has not materialized despite numerous phone calls and jumping through the many hoops they put in our way. In addition, the price is now higher than a year ago AND we had to pay $31 to recycle the old, dead unit. Never again will I purchase a Samsung appliance!
