    Horrible Blurry Pictures

I bought his camera after reading some fairly decent reviews, and was in shock at the horrid picture quality. Some pictures come out as if they have been edited with a picture program to make your skin look smoother than it is, no freckles or moles etc. Over half of my pictures came out Blurry even after using the Duel Image Stabilization.

I purchased this camera with my doubts. I spoke with the sales kid about my problems with my current Sony T1. The sales kid told me samsung had a good product and too bad for me it did the same thing my Sony did. THE PROBLEM: when you take a picture there is a intermittent white circles that show up in the picture. This happened after using it at home within 15 minutes. When you look at the pics you might think there is dirt on the lens, all my other pics were fine, like i said...it doesn't happen each time. My advise, don't waste your money and time on this camera

I purchased this camera as a relief of carrying my Canon EOS 20D to parties/social events (it's a ton heavier and way more bulkier then just the point and shoot I can stick in my pocket). The 2.7 LCD monitor is great for reviewing images, the ISO sensitivity and white balance does a pretty good job with shooting in dark environments, and giving you the picture you expect. It makes it easy, which is an objective of a point-and-shoot camera; easy use. I personally find face-detection tech as irritating, so that is my only complaint. I plan on purchasing this camera for my parents as a Christmas gift - it's very easy to use and a high quality camera, especially for the price. I, personally, feel the other reviewer is just not using the camera flash correctly. To have the same problem with cameras from separate brands and separate models is simply not the camera's fault. A cause of these white spots, or orbs, can be your flash reflecting off of dust particles in the air. My recommendation is, if you are having these problems, is to limit your flash use indoors and to better light the area so you do not have to use the flash. However, as digital cameras become more compact the distance between the flash and the lens has also shrunk, sometimes causing these 'orbs'.

I have to say I like the camera. I got a Kodak easyshare first, and returned it the next day! Spending the extra twenty dollars was worth the quality for this camera. The shots are great, takes great motion pictures, great stills, etc. I have to say I'm pretty pleased, I've never had a samsung so I wasn't sure what I was getting. It hasn't let me down yet. I LOVE the laptop charge feature! I charged it on my way to where I was going and it lasted the whole day! My ONLY qualm is you really gotta read the user manual to know the features or else you'll misuse it like me and not understand why a picture took so long to process! The zoom could be better too, but other than that, it's a good buy!

We got this camera for a trip to New England to suppliment our Canon digital SLR for when we didn't want to lug it and its lens around. We got great pictures and was surpised to be able to recorded over 30 minutes of fairly high quality video. We got an 8 gig memory card so we had plenty of space for almost 500 highest res pics and the 30 mins of video. The software is great, but haven't used it too much yet. It comes with a USB 2.O cable that can be used to recharge the battery as well as download the pics/video to a comp or other device. It aslo has a 120 volt adapter that the USB plugs into just to recharge the battery and an addition AV cable to plug into a tv or monitor RC jack to playback video or view pictures direct from the camera. It has better than expected audio pick up for a small camera that is not primarily a camcorder. Only down sides were low light res is bad and audio cuts out while zooming in or out during video rec mode.
