Customers admire the 15.6" Chromebook's ease of use, large screen size, and good value for its price. Positive feedback also highlights its performance and battery life, along with its lightweight design. Some users mentioned challenges adapting to the operating system and limitations with the amount of RAM and software compatibility. However, the positive aspects appear to outweigh the negative for most customers.

Works as you would expect. No issues so far. Added a wireless mouse to make it easier. Prices on these have gone up so we stick with the 4gb ram model instead of looking at 8gb models. Liked this one for the extra internal storage and large screen.

I purchased this for work (mostly just word processing, legal research). When I first saw all the complaints on here about Chromebooks I thought, "Why didn't you research this before you bought it?" Everyone loves to be smug. :)
So, after making sure all of my work software was compatible with Chromebook, I pulled the trigger. Fit and finish very impressive for this price range, nice sized screen, processor had plenty of speed. I was happy.
Then, a month after I bought this thing, my office started using a (very common) workplace chat program that is not compatible with Chromebook. Had to swap the Samsung and front another $200 for a Lenovo with W10.
I guess the point of this dumb story is...these were made for use by students, and I'm thinking that's who you should buy them for.

Ordered this Chromebook for my mother who is not the most savvy with computers. So far she really enjoys it for internet browsing, accessing her email, watching videos, and viewing pictures. Simple to set up and show her how to use.

We bought this for my daughter a little over two years ago. It has survived traveling back and forth daily from school and has worked above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely look into another Samsung Chromebook when the time comes.

This is the first Chromebook I've bought, and also the first time I've actually used one. It was purchased for my son for school work.
I must say though, I'm impressed. The screen is bright and clear, and everything feels solid. Battery seems to last all day. I think the most impressive thing was when he used NVIDIA's GeForce Now, which is a cloud gaming service. I loaded up No Man's Sky and it ran pretty well considering the relatively low specs on this device.
So coming from a PC user, I think this Chromebook is pretty good as long as you know what you're doing with it. I'm considering purchasing one for myself for work, although I'll have to check whether Citrix and other stuff will run on it.

My 2 boys (2nd grade and kinder) received school/ISD-issued chromebooks for home learning during this pandemic. While we were grateful for the loaner chromebooks, their 11 inch screen with low resolution screen was hard to use for young kids (hard to click tiny answer boxes and etc.). So I decided to invest and purchased 2 of these. While both units looked the same, the chargers were different. One allows you to connect/remove the USB-C cable from the charging adaptor while the other one was one piece charger+cable.
The 15.6 screen was large and it was a huge improvement from the 11 inch Chromebook. However, I have to admit the color was so dull even at the maximum brightness. Since this is a Samsung product, I guess I was expecting a great color quality. If the screen quality was better, I would have given this a 5 star.
Additionally, this is not a touchscreen model. The school/ISD issued loaner chromebooks had touchscreen feature which was nice. However, I would choose the larger screen over the tiny touchscreen anytime for kids school works. If it was for me, I might choose a slightly smaller screen for portability.
Overall, I think this is a great buy if you are OK with a mediocre screen and not having a touchscreen feature. I think this one deserves 3.5 stars but I rounded up to 4.

I was looking to buy the new Macbook Air or even the MBPro, but after reading so many reviews and not feeling comfortable spending so much at this time, I thought that I would update my Chromebook. I had a 4 year old Acer, slowing down a bit, but still worked and wanted the HP x360, but it held steady at $599. Sorry, I can buy a full laptop for that money. I wasn't crazy about the build quality of the Lenovos, the HPs, and others.
I have had more Samsung phones than I can remember and wasn't aware of its excellence in the Chromebook space. Consumer Reports gave it a far higher rating than the other brands, so...
A few days ago, I saw that this Chromebook, the newest iteration had a full HD screen, 128 GB and...kinda looked like the MBPro. lol I'm sorry, but I love big screens. My Acer has the 15.6 screen, so this was a huge value add for me.
I bought it, unboxed it and it's a lot lighter than I thought it would be. The build quality is phenomenal. The keyboard. OH my goodness. I've tried out so many keyboards and do like the ThinkPads, the Air was OK, and the butterfly keyboard (not on your life), but this Samsung has your typical Chromebook layout, but they are spaced apart perfectly for the average hand. It's so much more functional than the 16" MBPro's keyboard (sorry, my opinion). I'm typing on it now and I can type as fast as I want without any particular impediments or shallow travel.
I'm going to use it for business, word processing, and basic productivity, and leave my iMac for everything else. I played several songs on Youtube like Ok Go's "I Won't Let You Down" and it looked so good, so clean. Yes, my IPad looks better, but the Chromebook is for production, not consumption.
Finally, this is the quietest device I've ever owned.
I bought this device sight unseen because COVID won't allow us to go into the stores, but I'm so glad that I found the Samsung line of Chromebooks. Chromebooks, if you get a well built one, will always satisfy that need to check emails, produce a document, great for travel I'm sure, without worrying too much about calling customer support, Windows updates that hijack your machine, or heaven forbid if it gets dropped, you can reasonably buy a new one for another $300, as opposed to $2,000 for an Apple product.
Highly recommend.

Really like this Chromebook - it was easy to set up, nice clear screen, good weight, good battery life - at a very decent price. We just use it for email and internet and we would totally recommend it for anyone doing the same.

The saving grace to this Chromebook is the processor and the 128 gigabytes of EMMC storage. The 4 gigs of RAM is not ideal for heavy loads such as multiple chrome tabs, games, or video and sound editing. Don't expect to run C++ on a Chromebook. The screen does need improvements as well for viewing angles.

It’s a decent sized laptop. If you need to cruise the web, it’s perfect, fast, and efficient. I prefer a Windows laptop for business purposes because I prefer Office. That being said, I bought this for my father to surf the web, check email, and steam movies. He loves it because it does everything he wants it to.
The battery life is excellent. My one issue is that the keyboard is a little smaller than a standard keyboard, but you can get used it it or plug in an external keyboard.

We got this for our kid’s back to school considering it has 128gb storage and bigger screen . Screen quality is average with anti glare instead of glossy and it’s not a touch screen. The only drawback is the speaker issue, after using headphones, the speakers became difficult to hear. Overall is ok Chromebook

I'm still learning how to utilize my new Chromebook to it's fullest potential. In the mean time, I'm starting to love it! I also want to Thank Robert at store #378. I was very apprehensive prior to my final decision and he helped ease my mind. He also went beyond, I believe, to help me at the check out and reassured me that my Chromebook would be delivered on time the following week. The only disappointment are one USB port, no CD option, and no side number key pad; which I did not think to check due to nerves. My happy surprise...very light weight, charges quickly and lasts long. Battery life varies...depends on how long in use.

We bought this Chromebook for distance learning and our son loves it. It is very easy to use and other than realizing it doesn't have an OS to play games on, he easily added apps through Google play that he enjoys playing on this device too. It is very sleek, light weight and user friendly. We highly recommend it!

My old laptop was having issues do stopped by the store to check on getting a new laptop. The salesperson asked me what I use my laptop for and after i explained my nerds and usage the salesperson recommend a Chromebook instead of a laptop.
I haven't spent much time using it so far and having never used a Chromebook I'm still learning about it but it seems like it should work out fine for me. It's lighter weight and operating speed are really nice. I will update later after having more time to use it.

It weighs much more than the Acer Chromebook I last owned and was really looking to find as similar to, but this was closer to the amount of credit the store gave me for the last computer they could no longer repair. It works great, but much bulkier than anticipated. Can't complain too much for the under $200 total I stole it for....
