I liked the laptop at first until the mouse pad would freeze. It would only last about 30 seconds but I am very impatient. Other than that I really enjoyed it. The Price was good because it has a fast processor and lots of space in the hard drive. for music, pictures and whatever else you need. This is a good laptop, minus the mouse pad. The screen is nice because their is no glare, I loved that..

I bought this refurbished piece. So I thought it would come working fine, because geek squad worked on it. What was my suprise when I turned it on? NO WINDOWS 8 installed. And I just bought it because I would need a computer during my travel. I went to a local best buy in Kissimmee and the guys there were not able to fix it. Why? I don`t know. Many excuses. And as I work with IT, I know if they wanted to, they would have fixed the computer. Well at least I could choose other products to replace te computer. This was the good side of all this.

I should not have bought it. I knew it was re-furbished but was expecting better. I returned it to Best Buy the next day.

I purchased this laptop for the memory, processor speed, and the hard drive size hoping that is would be pretty speedy around the net and opening files on the computer itself.. but in reality it is really no faster then my 7 yr old laptop and even facebook games do not play much better. Also this has windows 8 which is nothing but a nightmare. I hate it totally. My friend purchased a gateway from walmart for $50 less then this and it actually ran better.. go figure.. I am not totally happy with my purchase but since I have to have this right now and have no more time to shop I will be keeping it. Not the greatest value....just sayin

Thought i'd chime in with a good review. Ended up getting this cause of the price and because I wanted the USB 3 and the radeon graphics set. The computer seems a little slow but I think I just need to add the second stick of ram for windows apps. The computer itself was beautiful, not a scratch on it and looked pristine. Partitioned the hard drive and went to work getting windows 8 and all my favorite utilities straightened out. Battery life seems like a good 5+ hours but haven;t put it to the test... Wireless was over 1mb/s -- maxed out my set dsl limit... I don;t like windows 8 but the samsung software is actually pretty convenient as it has it's own ;quick start; toolbar that has a desktop button. Yea... hate windows 8 but oh well. Reccomend getting 'start8' if you want a windows 7 interfacefor $5.00. I will say that the dual processor amd core is actually pretty fast when it comes to games (installed black mesa and very smooth). Seems like anything that can take advantage of dual core is going to sing on this puppy, The hard drive is huge and I know when I fill it up I can get an external and sync it super fast with the usb 3. Video is crisp and smooth watching netflix movies and from the DVD drive. Haven;t burned anything yet. I wish the keyboard was backlit and the function keys (volume) aren;t independent enough. Runs a little hot from the fan but knowhere near as bad as my old dell. Oh yea speakers alright and the audio jack for headphones is VERY good... Overall I;m pretty stoked, can;t wait to get an HDTV and use the hdmi out,,, Overall great vbalue and with 90 day warranty i am very happy. Oh yea touch pad could be more responsive and i wish it had the scroll feature along the edges that my old dell had... :) Oh yea monitor needs to be looked at straight on.... anyway buy one b4 they're gone!

Keypad too touchy - have to turn it off everytime I turn it on. Keypad numbers just randomly stop working. No media card slot as specified. What laptop doesn't have a media slot!!!! So slow. Returning for sure after 30 days.

I`m from brazil and went to USA for turism and bought this notebook online. The AC adapter isn`t the right one for the laptop. The laptop needs 3,16 A and the AC adapter supports only 2,1. So, when connected, the laptop stops charging the battery everytime. It keeps charging e then not charging anymore. I went to a store and I was informed that because the laptop is refurbished and the store doesn`t sell refurbished items, I couldn`t exchange the AC adapter. They told me to call the online service and I did it from inside the store. The attendent called the store but the conclusion was that I coud only exchange the laptop with the AC adapter, not the adapter alone. Conclusion: a ruge mistake with simple solution couldnt be solved (I didin`t think GEEKS would make a mistake like that......). So, I had to buy a new AC adapter when I came back to Brazil. The laptop is perfect for what I was searching for, but I got really disappointed with geek squad.

I bought this to replace my Dell laptop I had for 4 years and also wanted to try Windows 8. I also didn't want to spend too much money for it. This laptop had everything I needed for web surfing, watching movies and doing light work so I didn't have to spend big money for i7 with 8GB RAM. I see many others complain about how this laptop is so bad but I've had nothing to complain. It runs great and Windows 8 is actually nice. I thought it was gonna be bad due to so many people's complaints but try it for yourself, you will like it. I couldn't ask for more for a low-end laptop. It truly over-delivers.

I bought this laptop to replace my old gateway which was filling up, needless to say, it is THE WORST LAPTOP. The internet nd programs is ridiculously slow. All the other stuff that uses internet is fine just this laptop. I've called Samsung, I've reset it back to factory setting, I have cleaning out registry, I have tried different browsers....NOTHING WORKS. It took 3 HOURS to download Google chrome, T.H.R.E.E H.O.U.R.S .... :( which takes 2 minutes on the old faithful gateway. I am returning this back to best buy store ASAP!! Say your money and avoid frustration by skipping this product!! Definitely weary of Samsung products.
