Good Value in a Very Expandable Notebook
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yes, with an i5 this is obviously not a hardcore gamer notebook. I got it for my daughter to use as an everyday homework workhorse. I chose it because it is REALLY Expandable. It came with 1TB HDD and 8GB of RAM. But it also has an open/unused M.2 SSD slot! I popped a 128GB SSD into the open slot and migrated over the OS. Keeping the 1TB HD in place for extra storage. With the SSD, it is now the fastest booting PC in the house! Yes, the GTX 920 is not a current graphics card, and not great for big time gaming, but it does give noticeably faster graphics performance than the normal integrated graphics. I'm debating also upgrading the RAM. There is a small door for easy access to the RAM (and another one for the HDD). I may swap in two 8GB DIMMs into the unit when I can find a good deal. The price was great!

Cannot multitask without freezing

I cannot even have two tabs open on Chrome without it freezing on a regular basis, takes a couple of minutes with the system winding up then unfreezes, only to do it again 10 minutes later. This was a waste of $700, I will definitely not be purchasing another Samsung laptop. I am running this with the installed software, the only additional software I have installed is Chrome and Steam Client with 2 games.
