This refrigerator is an impressive piece of design and engineering. We were looking for a counter depth fridge so as not to take up too much valuable floor space in our kitchen and this one fit the bill. The showcase front door is a very neat feature that allows you to get quick access to your more convenient items (milk, condiments, etc.) without having to open up the naturally heavier full door. This unit has a remarkable amount of storage space that belies its 21.5 cu ft rating -- perfect for a family of four like ours. It fits nicely into a standard 36 inch fridge cabinet and It is extremely quiet - you hardly know it is running most of the time. If I have to pick on one fault (and it is a VERY minor one) is that the door water dispenser sometimes dribbles a small amount of water after removing your cup. The splash tray catches it well so it is just a minor peeve on my part. We got it on sale for $1,800 which made it very competitive with many other brands that had less features in my mind. Great fridge!!

Love the counter depth size. But.... I read many reveiws stating how big it is. Here is my opinion based on a gamily of three. This counter depth design will work if you do not gave an abundance of food typically. Which means if you shop every week or two you will be fine. If your the type to go to sans club or costco to buy bulk for a once a month shop or even a three week shop and your buying multiple meals and ingredients thst take up room then this is not for you. Simply because it is not designed for this type of food storage unless your stacking and oacking it in where you have to unpack just to get an item out. Even though there is plenty of room for a one, two, three person stock of items and typical milk, meat, vegi’s , yogurts, condiments, juices ect., it is a refrigerator that once I shopped for a couple week load I felt thst I was just about full of space. Remember, this has nothing to do with the brand, it is the “ counter depth design” and what it is meant for. If you want a refridgerator that sticks out from 6” up to a 12” less then a standard unit and even though has less room then the largest 24-26 cu units and you shop every 2 weeks and then this is for you. If your a family of plus 4 and like the membership bulk buys then this most likely will be tight. Lastly, I had this unit a couple month’s with no operating issues. The quality is typicsl Samsung ( great ) I read a lot of ice naker issues on the french door models , mine is a side by side model called the “show case.” But no issues this early on seen or read for this unit. I would for sure recommend this unit if you want a normal small family size unit that saves space by not sticking out in the room, that is top notch quality. Side notes; Unit is stainless do finger prints is common. Show case door is great since grabbing condiments, juice, soda’s snacks are done without openning main refrigde door .

I bought this refrigerator when we were renovating our kitchen after living in our home for over 25 years. So, I was determined to get exactly what I wanted. After lots of time looking at all of the refrigerators that were available we choose this one and are very happy with our choice. We love the showcase door. It take a little bit of getting used to where to grab the door to open it. But, it's worth it. Since our children are living on our own, we didn't need a huge refrigerator. This one gives us plenty of room. The only negatives about this refrigerator is the ice maker does dispense crushed ice instead of cubed from time to time. And I would prefer if the shelves were moveable. But, I've learned to just put things where they fit.

So we replaced a 3 year old Whirlpool elite with this fridge. We had 4 repairs on it in less than 3 months. I researched a lot of refrigerators before buying the Samsung. The whirlpool was huge and stuck out like a sore thumb in our kitchen. We wanted something that was first reliable and second didn’t take up half our kitchen. We are one month in and couldn’t be more pleased. Whirlpool was noisy and several times couldn’t hear the tv. This unit is quiet looks great inside and out, holds a lot of food and there is 5 of us. The showcase is very useful for quick stuff you want to get out like drinks or snacks for the kids. I don’t think you can go wrong with this fridge.

My old refrigerator broke down and we needed to purchase a new one. Read endless reviews and could not make a decision. I called our local Best Buy and spoke to a really nice salesman named Tim. He assured me he could help us and he did. Our problem was that our fridge was built in and it needed to meet specific dimensions. We returned to the store 3 time at the Green Acres Mall. Time had so much patience and never got annoyed or angry at our questions. In the end, we purchased the Samsung showcase. It is wonderful with plenty of room, works quietly, keeps everything at the right temperature, allows us to take out commonly used items without opening the whole door. Between the shelves and drawers, we can fit anything that we need. The freezer also provides plenty of room and it also looks great too. We had a wonderful buying experience due to Tim and got a great product due to Samsung. Love, love, love our new Refrigerator.

My wife and I didn't have a lot of choices since we needed a counter depth refrigerator. Out of all the choices we did have the positive reviews we read pushed us to buy this state of the art refrigerator. It is way more than we needed to spend but after the first 4 days of using it we are pleased with our decision. If you buy this one follow the directions. We used the quick cool settings on both sides and the first ice dumped in about 2 hours. I would have given this a 5 star but here are a couple of things that kept me from doing so. there should be adjustable shelves and the refrigerator side could have used another one. Also when we were putting it in place it should have fit by 1/4". Nope, with this unit as low as it gets it was 3/8" to tall. I had to disassemble my cabinet from the side pantries and raised it a full 1 1/2" just to give it a little room when i lowered the feet. We do love this refrigerator and would make the same decision again. Just check it out thoroughly in the store to make sure it fits your needs. Even with the shelves being minimally adjustable it works great for us. Nice product!

I had limited space and was looking for a nice refrigerator to replace the ugly one I got with my home. This was a perfect fit and matched the cubic feet of the old one. I have had the fridge for about 2 months now and have no huge issues with it. The only problem I have found is it does not produce ice very quickly. if you have a party I suggest buying ice to keep up.

After TONS of research, we finally picked this one. We mostly chose it for the counter depth size--that really narrowed the choices out there. It fits in our small, 50s kitchen really well--exactly what we were looking for in terms of size--but doesn't seem too small whatsoever. It is sleek and cool, has water and ice in the door, and has a few bells and whistles--overall, it's been really great. The whole door within a door thing/metal cooling thing is fine. It seems like a cool feature but I've not noticed it being that awesome. It's just...fine. It does however create a really heavy door if you load it up with beer for easy access like us--and that makes it really easy to let the uber-heavy door slam shut. Which is annoying. It's not perfect; the ice takes a while to come out, the water comes out with PASSION and vigor like I've never seen before (sometimes creating some shocking splashback), and there are downsides to a side-by-side model in terms of storage space. Like I said though--overall, it's been great, and was a solid choice.

I purchased this fridge in january. I loved the design. It's so big for me as its just me for now. I purchased the counter depth and it was just perfectly for my townhome. It started making noise a couple days ago, but the loud humming noise went away. All in all I'm happy. Purchased the 3 year geek squad protection so I wasn't worried about the sound. I love my fridge. It's what I wanted, I read some reviews that weren't positive, but for me the fridge is working great thanks to God!

We bought this refrigerator to replace one that was 20 years old. It was one of only three models that would fit in the space in our custom kitchen. As a counter depth model, it has incredible space and you can easily see everything in it. The ice and water through the door work well and we love the ease of the showcase door for getting to often used items.

We had limited space issues but still wanted all the bells and whistles. This is the fridge for us. The door is a little heavy as others have mentioned - but that really depends on all that you load it up with. It's nice to have the small section to open up for just the milk, water bottles, etc. And the ice maker and filter have been great. Took a little time for the first set-up temp to be reached before ice could be made, but has performed great ever since. When using the ice dispenser, the door makes noise like it's detecting that you're there and then shuts off like it's not going to work - just wait a half a second and the ice comes out. So that's a little quirky to have that delay but it's always worked great and tastes great thanks to the filter. We did throw away the first batch of ice as recommended..

I've been looking and reviewing this refrigerator since it first hit the floor at Best Buy. Our refrig was on its last leg, so I was being proactive by researching this one when ours finally did go out. I truly love this refrig. Love the showcase door (door in door), the lighting, the room, even though counter depth are smaller, freezer is spacious and the chic look that matches my other appliances is perfect!

We like the layout of the refrigerator. The showcase door is really handy and seems to keep the items at the desired temperature. The ice dispenser seems to get confused as to whether it is supposed to dispense cubes or crushed ice. Other than that everything works well.

Pretty cool refrigerator with the showcase door. Wish the water coming out of the dispenser was cooler. The only thing I would change with the showcase door is allowing more flexibility with the shelves in the door. YOu pretty much have to go with what they have decided should go in the door.

Look is sleek without handles and different from normal side by side. Counter depth is perfect and plenty or room for storage. Ice and water come out quickly. Door alarm is great for toddlers in house as well is the lock on the water and ice machine! Lots of compliments as well. Even delivery men were professionals!

I have had this refrigerator for 7 weeks. Both my husband and I like it. The exterior finish is great. Any fingerprints, etc clean up in a snap with soap and water. No need for stainless steel cleaner. Wipe with grain of finish. I am still getting used to the showcase door and what to put in the bins. One drawback is when I open the freezer door my fingers endup touching the door's electronic panel and I turn off the ice maker or temp alarm. I know this because a bell goes off . The size is good for my husband and myself.

What drew us to this particular model at first was its Energy Star rating and Showcase door. We weren't sure how practical the showcase door would be in our household, but after a month of use I can honestly say it is a useful feature if you often have to reach for small items like bottled water or butter or yogurts. Instead of opening the whole door, you can open the lighter/slimmer showcase door and reach in for your food item without letting most of the cool air escape. The bright LED lighting is great, and though we had reservations about the puny sounding 22 cubic feet of space, we manage to pack in a week's worth of food in both the refrigerator and freezer halves of the fridge and still have some unused shelf space. We are a family of five and the approximate 22 cu. ft. is enough. Some of the food items are condiments like ketchup which sit in the fridge more than a week. Another nice design feature: No protruding handles! Seems like all refrigerators have handles no matter how expensive they are, but this model's thin edge door handle design (you pull them out from the edge of each door) really gives the impression that the fridge occupies less space in the kitchen.

We had a french door w/ bottom freezer refrigerator, but decided it was time for a new since the ice machine line kept freezing up. I had a side by side a while back, and went to the bottom freezer because I wanted more room. I didn't think I would ever want another side by side, but when I saw this model, I changed my mind. When my husband and I began looking, I really liked the showcase door feature and the easy to remove ice container. This has been a great refrigerator for us. The freezer area with it's drawer compartments makes storage very easy. Samsung was highly rated in several reviews that I read, so it was an easy choice. I haven't missed bending over to dig things out of the freezer either. The water filter is easy to replace when needed too. Great refrigerator over all.

When introduced to this model I thought it seemed to be a great idea and now I do believe it is! Great concept! We like it a lot! The items used most often are accessible and I love the fact you do not have to waste energy/electricity by opening the entire refrigerator .

We love this fridge! We wanted counter depth, and didn't care for the French Door style since we are both tall and hate bending over to grab things out of the freezer. Design is extremely cool and functional. Purchased the counter depth version to match our streamlined kitchen, but you do give up space, especially depth in the freezer due to the ice maker, etc. The absence of door handles that stick out is also a major plus for us. For the price, it was a pretty good value. We moved into a new house, so was able to utilize the 10% off mover's coupon on the fridge which made it even more of a deal.
