    We love Samsung refrigerators

We and bought this for our kids. The refrigerator is beautiful, and it is roomier, especially compared to the old one. Our daughter in law is 8 months pregnant and it's so much better to have the freezer on the bottom. BUT: this sucker is deep. Deeper than a standard refrigerator, and a little too deep for their kitchen. It sticks out past the doorway. They are moving in June and will probably take it with them.

The fridge not only looks great it is whisper quiet. It also is a nice smaller size which made it possible to replace our very old standard fridge with this new French door style.

Completed my black stainless package with this fridge and it is great. Very quiet and makes ice quickly. I was able to hook the ice maker up no problem so I would pass on the install option if you’re handy. Great space and looks awesome!

This is the first French door refrigerator that fits in the fridge area in my kitchen without requiring a remodel, or at least the removal of the over-the-fridge cabinet. Therefore, we've had an 18 cubic foot traditional fridge until now. This one is very nicely organized, shelves and bins move easily, so it accommodates items of all shapes and sizes. All the shelves and bins are clear so things are not getting lost. The freezer organization is wonderful! The ice maker doesn't take up much space. The crispers are doing their job, and I love the huge pantry drawer. The lighting in the fridge and freezer is bright and flat, and I am enjoying not having to shuffle things around to get the tall stuff that got scooted behind the light. It cools and freezes like a fridge should. We haven't yet been able to find our water line turn on valve, so I haven't tested the ice maker yet. While I am comparing this fridge to an old, no frills model, I believe that anybody with a small fridge hole in their kitchen would LOVE this fridge. It's the same exterior size as my old 18' model, but this one's got 20% more interior space and is so well organized that it seems even bigger - the interior space is all usable. We have a galley kitchen, so the french door model is nice because people can walk through the kitchen even when someone else has the fridge open. I've got dogs that like to sleep in front of the fridge, and since the freezer's on the bottom I'm not having to make them move every time I want something out of the fridge. It seems like a quality item. Time will tell. Hope it lasts because I love it.

I love this fridge and am very happy with my choice. I bought the white model which has a nice, clean. sleek look to it. There is lots of room in both the fridge and freezer and the door open alarm is very helpful with a hubby around that tends to leave door ajar. I would definitely recommend this fridge.

This Samsung Refrigerator is Gorgeous!! It also has so much room both in the upper part, and the freezer. Much more room than our last refrigerator, and it was larger. Quality inside and out. Very quiet. LED lights are wonderful. Didn't want another outside ice/water dispenser, so took a chance on the ice in the bottom freezer, and Love It!! Just scoop up all the ice you want & it's quiet, with no ice or water flying on the floor for someone to slip n' fall on. THIS FRIDGE IS PERFECTION!!

Great freezer storage capacity. Love the door alarm. Fruit and Veggie compartments are a good size. Like snack/dairy drawer but it would be better is if it was a few inches taller. The overall width and height fit well in a standard kitchen but the depth should be shallower by a minimum of 6 inches. The fridge is at least a foot deeper than the standard cabinet/counter depth. This results in the need to navigate around the fridge while working in the kitchen.

    Good Fridge for Tight Spaces

We were looking to replace a GE frig that was 16 years old. What we found is that all of the new frigs in the 22-24 Cubic Feet models were really too tall and thus to tight height wise and would not meet provide the two inches of required air space at the top. This Samsung was one of the few that would actually fit. Read the reviews and it seems like Frigs are not lasting like they used to and so we decided why buy more gadgets like in door water/ ice that just seem to have more to go wrong. Have had this frig for 45 days and so far no issues. A couple of quirks. 1) the french doors do not open fully, 2) the left door has a special seal that slides under the right door to seal of the center area where the doors meet and it seems easier to close if you close the left door first, 3) every time we close the freezer, it makes a noise, nothing too irritating, but a small noise for a few seconds. Overall the frig does what it is supposed to. We’ve had no issues with it so far. Has decent flexibility with shelves and freezer seems to hold a lot compared to our old GE. Also expect the power consumption to be significantly less. If you watch for sales you can find this for as low as 999 during the July 4th Holiday promotions. Knowing that, I’d have a hard time paying retail price for this. Given the opportunities for so much to go wrong, a service plan might well be worth it if it only costs 30 or 40 dollars a year and you can get it for up to five years.

Well, we've had this refrigerator for over a month now. I can honestly say it is absolutely wonderful. Our old fridge was 24 years old; a side by side. Hated if from day one. Due to limited space, we are limited in width. Our old was 32" wide; this is only 30". Was a bit worried about roominess. OMG I can't find enough food to fill it up! This does not have water/ice in the door - didn't want it. Does have ice maker in the freezer section - not using it yet. There is so much room in the doors for milk, juice, soda, etc. The freezer holds quite a bit also. As for noise, it really is very quiet. Yes, there is a bit of noise when the compressor kicks in, but it really is not that noticeable. The three drawers are great and very solid. The color is great and fingerprints are not an issue. Easily cleaned. Again, this puppy is better than sliced bread! And the two gentlemen who delivered and set it up were fantastic.

Bought this as a replacement for a side-by-side fridge that came with our house. This was not our first choice, or even third choice for that matter, as we had a number of issues with availability for the units we really liked. We've had it for about a month and so far we are very pleased with this unit. Ample space in the French door fridge up top, shelves are adjustable and fit everything we need to fit, storage on the door is ample and can even hold the big jug containers. Bottom freezer has two deep bins and a slide-out drawer containing the ice tray. Icemaker works well. Very happy with freezer space as we don't seem to be as cluttered as we were before in the side-by-side unit. This unit does not have a water dispenser, so we bought a Brita which fits well on the top shelf of the fridge. Noise level is unnoticeable, look of the black fridge is sleek, magnets will stick to front of the fridge. Lighting is ample.

I have limited space for a refrigerator, we had ordered another one elsewhere that was back ordered for 5 months & would’ve required modifications to our cabinets. I saw this one & the measurements were perfect, no modifications needed. Guess it was a good thing the other wasn’t available! Plenty of room inside & the French doors are great, you don’t have to bend down to see what’s inside. Lots of storage on doors. The bottom freezer is deep & fairly spacious also. I wanted just a black refrigerator but this is black stainless & it’s fingerprint resistant. Led bright lighting inside & temperature can be changed by pressing a button. Freezer keeps food very cold! This looks good & runs pretty quiet but it seems to run all the time & we haven’t figured out why. Also the doors needed shims because there was a gap when closed & the panel wasn’t automatically closing. Doors require a push to close but at least you know they’re sealed. A nice fridge otherwise though.

    Poor design and build quality

Cools decently well and the ice maker works well. The exterior and interior materials are crumbling after three years and two months, immediately after the expensive warranty from Best Buy expired. The freezer handle frequently falls off the freezer door. This is due to poor design and requires an Allen wrench to fasten it back on the freezer. Regardless of how tight I reattach the handle, it comes off again about every two months. The crisper drawer and shelf support both broke, which has cost me $200 to replace, and of course shipping time and time to install on my own. These pieces were not abused and failed just after 3 years of use. Without these parts, we have lost nearly half of the storage space in this large refrigerator. I have read online to avoid Samsung appliances, but I did not know how flimsy their basic materials are. Supremely disappointing for such an expensive appliance.

I didn't think that I could possibly fall in love with an appliance, but I must admit that, after three weeks with this new fridge, I absolutely love it! From the greater space, to the convenience of only needing to open one set of doors at a time to reach items, it's a very convenient addition to the kitchen. The drawers in the freezer make it a breeze to organize and find items, which helps my family keep different dietary needs straight and segregated. It's a nice-looking unit to boot, with the black stainless steel modernizing our kitchen up quite a bit. Definitely do not regret this purchase.

This is a great fridge for the money. We were looking for something a little smaller than most fridges out there. The shelving is great and easy to move. Although it is not smudge proof, it cleans fairly easily. The only disclaimers I would put on it are that the freezer is not as large as it would seem, the French doors are somewhat “springy” and have a little resistence when trying to close, and it is a little deeper than expected. Not really negatives, but things to keep in mind. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.

Our condo has rather limited space for a refrigerator and this one fit the space perfectly. We were a little concerned as it is deeper than our previous refrigerator. While it does stick out more into the kitchen it has not been a problem for us. It is also narrower than our previous refrigerator, although the greater depth makes up for that. However, I would prefer a refrigerator that is a little wider and not as deep. The ice tray in the freezer takes up half of the top drawer, which seems excessive. It's not a problem for us as we don't use the ice maker, but it is something to keep in mind if you think you will use it. It is nice to have the refrigerator on top and the freezer, which we do not use as much, on the bottom.

I have this new Samsung refrigerator 2 weeks today. So far so good. I’m getting use to the new sounds of the compressor but a non-issue. The only thing is it’s smaller inside then the GE I just got rid of in cu feet. I have to adjust the shelve levels this weekend. I had no choice for the smaller size because I live in a TH and can’t fit a 35-36 inch wide refrigerator. Also no water filter but otherwise works well. I do like that the French doors have a tight seal because my last refrigerator did not.
