A working ice maker is needed to enjoy ice-cold drinks, MiguelS. Let's go ahead and check for some possible fixes.
The ice maker can make 10 pounds of ice a day; it can only hold 2 pounds of ice at a time. Once the ice bucket is full, the ice maker will stop. The ice maker can make approximately two trays of ice every 3 hours. Please check this link for details.

True, this fridge looks sharp and modern but the trays are cheap plastic, the ice maker has no light, the ice dispenses VERY slowly compared to another Samsung and Kenmore models we've had, it produces ice inconsistently. Once the ice comes out you get a rush all at once that you can't stop. The fridge also cools inconsistently. Even though we followed the standard 37 degree temp on the fridge side, eggs and vegetables would freeze on the top shelf even after raising the temp to 38 degrees.

I love the black stainless!! Smudges wipe off easily and looks great! Interior is spacious. Ice takes a second to start but we love it!

Refrigerator freezing food- Poor Quality Control

Definitely been disappointed about Samsung response to at least, send a technician to check our 5.5 months unit. I have read previous reviews and not sure if it has to do with the exact model (counter depth), but it is freezing up out goods placed against the rear wall (mid-inside).
We first contacted BestBuy, and they dropped the ball to Samsung (easy exit). According to Samsung ‘s rep. over the phone, we had “too much food”. I am not sure what indicators they are following, but clearly, we do not have that much on our fridge, despite being a family of five. Are they expecting us to have two toppers per section? As long as I remember, refrigerators have a function and that is exactly to keep food inside. We shared pictures showing that the vents were not obstructing the air circulation, and to add, tried to explain that this issue started about a week ago. First contact with Samsung rep. went well, and they promised to send a technician after the second check-in, but now (second attempt), it will take more time, and we were asked to “remove” goods from the unit. This issue has been managed very poorly by a “so-reputable” brand.
Extremely disappointed with Samsung appliance response.

Ice dispenser never worked! Had the door changed TWICE by Samsung warranty and the issues with the ice dispenser continued. I will never buy a Samsung refrigerator again! It is the worse brand of refrigerators and it is unfair to the customers who buy these products.
