I purchsed this dishwasher a year ago. Initially the design and quiteness were impressive. A few months after the one year warranty expired, the appliance broke down. To my surprise, most local appliance repairs don't work on Samsung products. There is only one authorized repair provider for the Maryland area, so it took quite a few days for them to come out. I had to shell $300 for diagnostics, part, and labor. Two months later, the appliace broke down again. Mind you, this is with regular family of 4 use. I called Samsung again and after a lot of phone time, they were willing to comp the labor but not the part. This will be my last Samsung appliance.

After completing normal cycle, there is still detergent powder residual in the dispenser and all dish plates are still wet.

We have been without a dishwasher for months. So when I found this one open box for 1/3 of the price, I picked it up quickly. We had a friend install it. It is very quiet, but operates on a really long cycle. There is no heater for this dishwasher, yet, we have four children and the less dishes I have to wash by hand, the better; I can wait until they dry on their own. The tines are short all around. It does the job and gets the dishes clean; we've only had it for two days. I hope the issues I read about in other reviews are not true for us.

Had I known what a terrible product this was, I would have kept my 12 year old dishwasher.

The dishwasher was installed and would not drain. Returned and bought a Kitchenaide.

I bought it on sale, so I didn't have terribly high expectations. The short of it: Pros: 1. Quiet as a whisper. Seriously quiet. Like library quiet. 2. Cleans exceptionally well 3. Fits a ton of stuff 4. Installed like a snap. No issues whatsoever Cons: 1. Even though I was warned profusely about needing a drying agent during installation, I ignored it. Turns out you really do need a drying agent as there is no dry cycle on this machine. 2. Silverware rack isn't in the best location. Along the side rail, but it works I guess...

My wife and I looked at different brands, but chose this one for its price, options and clean look (stainless steel finish). The staff at Best Buy were patient with us and delivery went well. I installed the new dishwasher with one trip to Home Depot for a 3-prong receptacle to attach to the house wiring (bare wires) so that future installations would be easier. The test wash was quiet and efficient, and the dishes came out dry after keeping the unit closed for a couple of hours. We usually run the dishwasher at night, so the dishes are dry with the heat retained until the morning. My wife likes the large handle on the door; our old unit had a smaller inset handle that was harder to open.

I never write reviews but had to with this one. Got this dishwasher (and 3 other Samsung appliances to match) for our new kitchen in Sept. 2014. For the first year or so it was great. Very quiet, dishes were clean and I liked the look and design. About a week ago, it stopped working in the middle of a cycle. Two lights blinked continuously and it would not turn back on. Unfortunately I was a few months past the year factory warranty and I didn't get the protection plan, which I now regret. First issue was getting someone to sevice Samsung appliances in my area. I was unaware that this would be a problem until the dishwasher stopped working. I was told by numerous repair stores that they do not work on Samsung (or LG) because the parts are so difficult to get and they are more difficult to work on than other brands. Had to call a national repair store in order to get someone here (which are always much more expensive). So once I got someone out to see it, from an hour away, I was told the control panel was the problem and had to get a new one. Repair man told me he saw this issue a lot with this model and Samsung dishwashers in general. I was able to buy a new dishwasher (Whirlpool) cheaper than what a new control panel cost. That seems to be a big issue with this model so I thought I should write this review to either steer someone to another brand or at least be sure to get the protection plan with it. It's unfortunate that an appliance that we didn't even use every day barely lasted over a year before it stopped working. The combination of a bad product and the fact that it is a hard brand to service will keep me from buying Samsung appliances in the future. The only reason this rating got a 2 was because it was nice when it worked, otherwise I would give a 0 for the overall experience.

OK I dont work for Samsung or Best Buy so I dont have to sugarcoat things. This is a great dishwasher for the money. It is super quiet compared to my old dishwasher. It comes with a timer so you dont have listen to it, but who cares since it is so quiet? Delivery was good: they came at the time they said they would. They didnt take the old one. If they dont say it, they dont do it. Not that that was a big concern since it is only 75 lbs. If it was a range or frig, I would have issues. OK the pros: Super Quiet Nice and sleek looking Does a good job washing. Easy install Screw holes on the sides(I have granite countertops so the clips at the top are worthless). Cons Accessories -Parts you practically get nothing. I thought I missed the parts bag digging through the box but there was nothing. No clamps, elbow for the water supply, rubber flange for the electrical, wire nuts, NADA!! The look and feel of the racks are kinda flimsy. We'll see how that goes in a few years.(Planned obsolescence) You will need to read the install manual and then go to the hardware store. It's a little annoying to have to go to the store during the middle of the install.

I thought buying Samsung meant buying the best. I'm disappointed in the size of the tines, they are so short all my dishes fall over. The only rack I can really use is the rear of the bottom rack (longer tines I guess for dinner plates, but I need it for salad dishes and plates, too). And when did dishwashers start making dry cycles optional? I never even thought to look for this! I use the Sanitation cycle which takes forever, but the dishes are still wet and so is the inside of the tub. Then, if you close the door and it's wet, it smells. MAKE SURE YOU GET A DISHWASHER WITH HEATED DRYING.

I mainly purchased this dishwasher as it matched the other Samsung appliances I already had. I was pleasantly surprised that it worked much better than my old machine as well as being quite a bit quieter.

The things I like Lots of space -when the salesperson was showing me this in the store she took a bottom rack from a competitors machine and placed it inside the Samsung and there was about 3" of depth more than the competitors Gets dishes clean ( make sure you use a rinse agent) I just rinse dishes with food, dishes with dried food I just put in the dishwasher Very quiet, after they installed the dishwasher I was putting the pullouts back in the sink cabinet and I could barely hear it running sitting right next to it, the only time I hear it is when it is draining. I can load large items top and bottom - I put the top to my Ninja blender in the top rack (12" tall). What could be improved The bottom rack fits a little loose so when you slide it out its possible that you need to adjust it when sliding back in The re-positionable top rack is not as simple as the more expensive models to adjust up ( you have to pull it out and then slide it back in) but its not an issue for me but might bother some people. All in all it does a great job on cleaning the dishes with no where near as much "pre wash" as my older dishwasher. Its very quiet, I have to look at the lights to see if its done. The price for the value is very good, dishwashers rated better by CR cost significantly more. I would recommend this to a friend ( I think my brother may buy one) Pros: Durable, very quiet, large interior for big loads, excellent value for price Cons: racks are a little less easy to adjust compared

Parker • a few seconds ago We purchased all new Samsung stainless appliances when we moved in Sept. '13. We love the Samsung TV's so we presumed that Samsung appliances would be a good choice. WRONG! This dishwasher was awful from the beginning. It takes almost 3 hours to run a load and it never gets dry. Also, there was a terrible smell every time it was opened. After 14 months, it started only running for about 15 minutes before stopping. We tried everything but no go. After reading the reviews(which I really wish I would have done before choosing Samsung), we decided that it wasn't worth paying $300-400 to have it fixed only to have something else go wrong so we bought a Bosch. I hated to see a "brand new" dishwasher recycled so I called someone in our town who works on appliances to ask if he wanted it. He immediately said no thanks! He said he doesn't even work on them because they are so bad. We couldn't decide between the Bosch and the Kitchenaid so we went with the Bosch. I will be watching it VERY closely and if there are issues, Best Buy will be exchanging for the Kitchenaid. I would strongly recommend that if you are contemplating purchasing Samsung appliances that you would really do some research before deciding.

This unit is very nice and it was relatively easy to install. It does a good job cleaning the dishes and is fairly quite. Satisfied with this purchase.
