Bought this Samsung unit Mistake #1 in March of 2014 and I did not buy Geek Squad protection. MISTAKE #2. Control board went out when it was 8 mos old. Repairman said that these are the worst dishwashers and stay away from Samsung in appliances. Fast forward another 5 mos and the unit went out again (outside of warranty). Control board problem AGAIN. Now I am faced with the problem of repairing this lemon again or replacing it entirely with a Bosch. Samsung appliances? Never again.

This dishwasher worked great for 6 months then stopped working. Maintenance has been out twice to try to fix it with no success. Even the company Samsung sent out to repair the dishwasher says how horrible Samsung products are. They are fed up and close to not servicing Samsung appliances anymore. Do NOT buy Samsung appliances!

We had this dishwasher for 6 months and it never cleaned dishes properly. It always left some kind of smell on them. We worked with Samsung and they first told us to leave the door open to eliminate swampy smell. Ha! Then they sent someone out to repair it and this failed. The repair person failed to screw the unit back in and so it would tip onto your toes with the door open. Then after about 6 months it started running on its own and we had to turn off the power at the circuit breaker. At this point we want a refund... Samsung refuses since they only offer service as a warranty resolution. If this is what you want, you should also buy this dishwasher... Or any other Samsung product for that matter....

So like other reviews, I also have issues with the cleaning ability of this dishwasher (don't put any dish in it with food on it... the food will still be there when the cycle is done) and its drying abilities... but I dealt with this for over a year now. But now I have the wonderful joy of rust stains on the front... so not only does this product not really work, it also now looks ugly... what kind of stainless steel are you using Samsung??? Gave it one extra star just because it was cheap.

We purchased a set through best buy. All has gone well except for the stove and this horrible dishwasher. After many error code issues we've worked through it finally just quit powering two days before thanksgiving. Hate this dishwasher. Run for the hills!

This thing has never run properly form the start. We tried, as instructed different settings, detergents etc. nothing helped. It also has never dried the dishes completely. After two months the motherboard died (apparently common problem) this repair was covered under warranty. 15 months into owning this P.O.G we are now getting the same error code (motherboard) is toast. I am throwing it away and getting a real dishwasher from a real dishwasher maker. Buy a reputable dishwasher and save you money, do not purchase this model.

We purchased this dishwasher after researching and reading reviews. It worked great for about 5 months and then the lights began flashing. Thankfully it is in warranty. The repair man came out again today (5th repair so far) and replaced the drain system and door latch. I just ran it and the lights are flashing AGAIN. Won't complete a cycle.

Very impressed with the dishwasher, very quiet, tons of room but was getting a lot of "left over" water. After research, by added JetDry it works perfect now.

This is the worst dishwasher I ever owned, does not clean, does not dry plastic! Broke down twice in one year with the same problem, and one more time 2 months after guaranty run out :-( I will not pay $450.0 for a repair that will break again in 6 months...I just bought a Maytag, American MADE that last! I will never buy from Best Buy again since they did not giver me any break on the purchase of a new dishwasher!

My boyfriend and I brought this Samsung dishwasher for our first home together. Along with the other stainless steel range and microwave, it looks wonderful. Buttons on the dishwasher are simple and easy to use. The only downfall is that there is NO heat dry option (which is also our fault for not reading the details before buying). While stacking dishes into the washer over the week, the dishwasher stays wet and creates a no so pleasant odor. If you don't mind the smell that shouldn't be a problem.

This dishwasher is 14 months old and out of warranty. Cost $586.00 and is a piece of junk. Do not waste your money purchasing this dishwasher. Have been told it is probably a bad mother board and will be expensive to fix. I will just purchase another brand and never own a Samsung again. Do not recommend at,all.

My wife purchased this dishwasher to upgrade our old one. Very quiet and very good performance so far.

From day one, never cleaned well at all and takes forever to dry... Basically have to clean the dishes with soap and water first and then had dry them after they are done in the dishwasher. Might as well save the water and just do them in the sink the first time. Have had to unplug and plug back in many times to reset the control board. Now 13 months after purchase not working at all! Stay away!!!

I purchased this model 2 Years ago - it breaks almost every year - until under MFR warranty Samsung fixed it - but now it cost almost as new unit to fix it. known problem with Heating element and sensor design. they put two sensor in this unit anyone of them trips you have to change two units and cost to replace it high $$$$. Samsung need to recall defects and replace it for free. My advice to stay away from this model.

I was ready to give a "average" review until I changed to detergent packs. Initially, I used cheap liquid detergent and noted that this washer was average - but, extremely quiet. Then, when I changed to the detergent packs - WOW! This is a good washer and worthy of my highest rating. However, one area that isn't up to par is the drying....it's not perfect in that arena.

I got this dishwasher model out of the display/clearance section of this store. We got it home, installed it, after a little confusion on our part, and did a test run. I actually had to put my ear up to the front of the dishwasher to see if it was actually running! I guess I had gotten so used to my old dishwasher that sounded like a military helicopter taking off in the kitchen, that i forgotten that appliances can actually be quiet! Even if I had paid full price for this appliance, it would be well worth it for my sanity!

After 1.3 years it broke on me with a "drain error" message. Not to mention that it never worked properly from the very first day, it leaks at both front corners. The manufacturer's support is a farce, they do not stand behind the product. I bitterly regret buying this brand and will probably never buy Samsung again. Here's my story: when I used it for the first time, after it had been professionally installed, it leaked badly. I called Samsung and they said they would come, but never did. I spent probably 2 weeks on the phone and online with their support, until I realized it was all in vain. BestBuy fortunately was great and agreed to exchange AND install the new one. They did that, and guess what: the second one leaked in exactly the same spots as the first ! Not as much, but obviously they all have a serious design flaw. I kept it in spite of that, don't know why, and now little over a year it broke completely. It's out of warranty so I'll have to take the loss and get another brand. All I can say is: stay away from Samsung appliances! If you do decide to get this brand for whatever reason, at least get some serious trustworthy warranty plan, you'll need it.

After 2 years our dishwasher stop working .We call Samsung and they offered extended warranty for $288. After we paid from authorized dealer servicing company call us that is financially unreasonable to fix our dishwasher .Samsung reimburse us and told us that they can not do anything and we have to fix it on our own expenses.This is how Samsung servicing their products.

I replaced a cheap dishwasher for this one so it matched all of my new appliances and i regret it. It is pretty quiet, but that is all that it has going for it. The racks are terrible and leave hardly any room for adjusting. The actual washing cycles are sub-par and sometimes i need to wash the dishes twice. This is even after i pre-wash them (which i always do). overall, this dishwasher is no better than a lower end dishwasher and i would not recommend it.

Not worth 699. Worth 499. This dishwasher is a good buy on sale. Full price not so much. Cleans dishes very well. Does not dry well. If you leave dishes in overnight they are fairly dry. I tried all the different suggestions of other reviewers but dishes still come out slightly wet the next day. Our previous DW had a heating element, but would warp anything plastic on the bottom rack. We tried this one without the heating element and if given the chance would rather go back to heated dry. The front stainless steel panel is put on poorly, you can see bends in the SS at the top corners.
