Lemon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this dishwasher approximately 18 months. At 13 months it stopped working and gave 4 different codes. It took the authorized repair people over a month and 5 visits to get it working at my expense because the warranty is only 1 year. Now, day after Christmas, it's giving one of the same codes. It's a horrible lemon and Samsung has not been helpful at all!

Do not By Samsung Dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of world's worst Product...I have purchased Samsung dishwasher - Stainless Steel - DW80F800 in Oct, 2013. I had problem more than 3 times within a year and was getting 0E, 5E problems and noise issue..sometime top portion doesnt wash and bottom doesn't wash..It was repaired by Samsung since it is covered under a warrenty.. I was told by SAMSUNG that it will be replaced if unit has problem more than 3 times in a year and other representative told that it is a false information...I dont know any company which keep repairing...Even after a year, I had 3 more times same problem and SAMSUNG kept on insisting to pay $180.00 for each service call...Each time, technician finds one problem and creates another one..What a Shame Product and What useless Product..High recomonded not to buy SAMSUNG DISHWASHER...I dont know why people guy bad direction for other to buy this dirty product...I found their executives are equaly rude and not responsive.

disapointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.bought this unit after running my Whirlpool to the ground (it took a beating and worked great but it was out of warranty). I thought Samsung would be a nice change, it looks nice, at least, but thats all. I shouldn't have to wash dishes before placing them in the dishwasher but thats exactly what I have to do with his Samsung dishwasher, sometimes dishes have to be put through machine twice. I absolutely HATE this Samsung dishwasher. I wish I would have bought a Whirlpool. I wasn't aware that I could return the machine within 15 days, so now Im stuck with this worthless hunk of junk. I over heard repair guys stating that their number one calls for service are Samsung products. wish I knew this before i bought. Samsung stick to TV's & phones your kitchen appliances are junk!

Died after 13 months
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Washer never fully dried dishes, and it died after 13 months, three visits later by technicians it still does not work and $280 bucks later. Good luck getting Samsung to help. This situation stinks. We are only a household of two and we only ran it once a week, be ware.

Was happy with my dishwasher until.....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the stainless steel model no more than 2 years ago, and all of a sudden the smart auto and heavy lights started blinking each time I started a wash cycle. As soon as this happens, the dishwasher stops working. I've read up on this issue and found there are many customers who have complained, and the cost to repair runs somewhere in the neighborhood of $200-$225 for just the parts. Now, along with my dishwasher I purchased a Samsung refrigerator, above the range microwave and stove. The microwave fan started turning on by itself a little over a year after I bought it, and now dishwasher is broken. Unfortunately, now I have to purchase a non-Samsung dishwasher and microwave - because I can't justify buying two new Samsung appliances. Waiting for the other two appliances to start acting up now. Not a happy Samsung customer right now. $700 dishwasher should last more than 2 years.

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this dishwasher two years ago and encountered multiple problems with sensors, pump, control board and touch pad. At least 10 repairs later, technician recommends that we need to replace. Even the technician says to never purchase a Samsung appliance

disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this in November 2013 and had it installed in December. We had to have service done on it about 9 months in because it wouldn't turn on. Now, 3 months out of the warranty it turns on but only goes through the pre-rinse cycle and then shuts off. It will be over $300 to repair. We are a family of 3 so it doesn't get overused - we ran it on average of 2 times per week. Very disappointed in this product.

Worst Dishwasher Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model is garbage, it leaks, has major issues, does not dry dishes. We've had this model for just over a year blinking same error code it blinked at 8 months and supposedly they fixed. Samsung only pay for replacement parts because out of the 1 year warranty labor will cost $260 so not worth it saving money to buy different dishwasher.

If it only had better loading capabilities
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because it had the top controls and a hard food disposer. So far I love the fact the dishes are exceptionally clean. So far not one had to be rewashed. Absolutely Hate the fact that it is built for Plates. Yes you can fit tons of plates in this dishwasher but when it comes to soup bowls and lots of glasses and mugs (which is what most families have more of) it is very limited. Soup Bowls and fry pans? I can't decide what to do with them. The Tines are about 1" apart on the bottom so nothing over 1" will fit there so you have to lay the back tines flat then that means you must lay the items face down so really how many can you get there. one serving bowl, one sauce pan and one fry pan and your done. Stupid design for loading capabilities

Not built to last
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Within the first year of owning this dishwasher I received the "Over-Level Water Error". The manual advises to not use the machine any longer, close the water valve, flip the breaker and call for service. So I did. Best Buy sent out a tech who diagnosed the issue, ordered a new motherboard, and made the repair. The tech observed that error was due to the motherboard sending a false reading and generating the error code. This code shuts down the D/W during the wash cycle. Thankfully all of this was covered under the Best Buy warranty and everything was good for about a year. Until I received the same error message again this week. This error appears during the wash cycle and stops the machine from running further. This D/W is junk. The cost to have a tech come out ($99), order parts ($300+) and do installation ($???) is going to cost more than I paid for this piece of garbage. Save yourself the headaches and just don't even consider buying this D/W.

Piece of Junk
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Oct. 2013 bought all new Samsung appliances including washer and dryer. Didnt realize this dishwasher did not have a drying feature until I was left with wet dishes that I had to hand dry...fail!! 13 months into owning it, breaks down with over water level code. Thank god I bought the extended warranty!!! Well after it being broke for 2 months... yes, that's right 2 months for the repair men to actually fix it. All 3 men that came out said that Samsung dishwashers are pieces of junk and that I will be seeing them alot in my future. Just what you want to hear after spending 7 grand on appliances!! Please do not buy this dishwasher!!! Also, as others have mentioned, the way the tines on the bottom are placed, nothing actually fits into them properly. Everything leans awkwardly and does not allow you to use space adequately.

Posted .Hi Cytra,
I'm very sorry to hear you've been having issues with your Dishwasher. The Condensation Drying method used in this and many other Dishwashers is designed to save energy, but there are some basic tips that should be followed in order to maximize it's effectiveness. Using a rinse aid, selecting the Sanitize option and leaving the door closed until the cycle is complete to retain the heat which enables the water to evaporate should help most dishes dry well. It isn't unusual for plastics to retain some moisture since they don't retain heat well, and upside down glassware may continue to have some water pooled in the concave bottoms.
If you haven't done so already, please review the articles available in the online Troubleshooting Guide on Samsung's website which may offer additional tips and solutions to issues you're experiencing.
Thank you,
Ms. Samsung

Worst dishwasher ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only thing I can say good is it looks nice. It is a terrible dishwasher Most of the time I can't tell if it ran or not. I have to re wash at least 3 to 4 items. Sometimes I re wash the entire load. Do buy Plus it's hard to put in the silverware and plates. Poor design

Disposable dishwasher
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this unit just over a year ago, it broke down when it was 6 months old and it is broken down now. The first time it was under warranty and Samsung fixed it but now that it is 13 months old they won't do a thing even though it is the same issue they supposedly fixed. I have a house full of Samsung but as each item goes they will be replaced with another brand. This dishwasher before this one was cheaper and lasted 8 years longer with no issues until the end.

Beyond unusable poor service with Samsung
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first ever review in my life. I am so frustrated became motivated to do one to hopefully save others a headache, time and money. I saw reviews like mine w these issues on other sites and chalked it up as fluke thing for that person. This dishwasher has not consistently worked from day 1. We bypassed best buy warranty thinking Samsung would be enough and they would stand by product. Other appliance sites had poor reviews but because this site had ones that were so high I ignored and purchased. We have not had working dishwasher for 3 months. Samsung sends someone to do testing then orders parts and sets up time to return to fix. Tomorrow is 7th time someone is coming to service. Never after service has more than one cycle ran w out an error popping up. Yesterday was our recent repair 3rd guy 2nd business coming out. I called Samsung and explained it has costed us more in lost wages for having to clear 4-5 hr window for repair person to come than what we paid for it, shared w them they have paid more in parts so far then we paid for dishwasher (new sensors. Entire new computer board panel ect). They refuse to replace but keep sending people out. Customer service answers and acts like someone above them will help just to be transferred and put on hold for 45 min so an apt can be Sch for repair person to do diagnostic testing, order part and set up new time to install. In meantime sometimes parts don't arrive for repair date and date has to be changed w more work and family impacts. The same script is said over and over by all associates. 'We are sorry this is frustrating for you'. They typically will not say at what point they replace. One associate said when repair person ( who is not part of Samsung but paid by them) says it's not fixable. What business owner is going to say they can't fix it when they continue to get paid?Ironically repair place encouraged a purchase of 3 yr warranty through Samsung because they see so many issues w this model that continue to reoccur w parts. Unreal. Hand wasting dishes all summer yuck. No resolution in sight - irritating. Find something else or purchase best buy warranty.

Needs Very Hot water
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was having trouble with the soap dispensing It would run the entire cycle then pop open during heated dry cycle. This left the soap running down the door and the dishes dirty. I called Samsung they said the water has to be at least 120 degrees to activate opening the soap door. I turned my water heater up from 120 to 135 now it seems to work better. Funny my old GE dishwater never had a problem with 120 degree water temp.

Stay clear of this model!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Broke down several times with same error code. Had to shell out another $300 to have looked at and still waiting on repair #4 within 16 months. Love Samsung, but they designed a lemon here.

DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG APPLICANCES
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All of my kitchen appliance's are made by Samsung, and they all had service tech visits since I purchased them in Feb 2014. I made a huge mistake trusting that they made quality products, only to have purchased lemons. Samsung should stick to making phones, please stay out of the appliance business. I didn't purchase the extended warranty when I purchased this dishwasher, and when I called tech support, they wanted to charge me almost $300 to add the warranty, or pay out of pocket for a tech visit. I do not want to come out of that kind of money and don't think that I should. I have my house on the market, and whomever purchases it can have these appliance's, I will purchase new ones when I buy my new house, guess what, they will not be Samsung!!!

Wonderful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The first few times I ran this dishwasher I was disappointed. Dishes were extremely wet. After much reading online I noticed a lot of people were saying they had the same issue and Samsung recommends Jet Dry Turbo. Please note - TURBO. After that was used in the rinse aid dispenser my dishes are dry. Not only dry, but clean. So far I have ran this 20 times or so and they always come out as I expect.
