    No drying feature

This unit does a great job of washing dishes but it DOES NOT come with a heating coil to dry dishes. Dishes are super wet when the cycle completes. I put this unit in a rental and since the tenant didn't complain for over a month I am now stuck with it. When I revisited the store the salesman told me that they have been getting many complaints and that we should open the dishwasher after it is done and give it 30 minutes for the dishes to air dry. We live in Florida and when you let dishes air dry they come out spotty due to the hard water. I never thought to ask, does this unit dry the dishes. Keep that in mind when shopping.

    What a difference

I had a 5 year old Maytag that was very loud and took almost 2 hours for a complete cycle - this Samsung is so quiet and it doesn't appear to take as long as the Maytag. Very satisfied. The color matched my kenmore stove and Frigidaire refrigerator.

    The WORST dishwasher ever!!

Broke 6 times within 18 months, 5 times same problem. Samsung would not replace, refund. Sent tech out to keep changing same part. Customer service just gives the run around and the policies are ridiculous, How many times should the same appliance have to be fixed before the company does the right thing and replaces?? When it did work, it does not clean thoroughly anyway. Do not buy, so many better options.

I spent over 7k in samsung appliances. We have had this dishwasher repaired now 3 times for the same issue. (soap doesnt disolve while washing) Samsung call center and tech says we must run the sink until was is hot before starting the dishwasher or use liquid soap. I have done both and still no fix. They repaired the "computer and heater" twice. Then it will work for a couple of months and the same issue happens again. Samsung refuses to replace the unit and continues to make excuses on why it doesnt work properly. Worst dishwasher I've ever owned. Worst service at this point.

    Died quickly, Samsung doesn't care

I got to use the dishwasher all of three times before it died. Called Samsung and was told that must be an installation problem because there is no way it could be them, it had to be the installation. When I tried to confirm what they were telling me, I got hemming and hawing and equivocation. So you might get lucky and get one that works but if you have a problem don't expect help from Samsung.

    Rack space doesn't work

Bought this dishwasher because we have a matching refrigerator and microwave (both of which have performed very well). The "15 place settings" is not very accurate. I'm not sure who designed the rack space in this thing, but dishes won't stand up and fall over on each other. Oversized pans/cutting boards don't fit at all and most of the time, they keep the spinner from working correctly. We typically have to run a load of dishes twice to get them clean (and sometimes have to wash by hand on oversized items). I like Samsung products, but I wish I'd passed on this one...

I have had this dishwasher for a little over a year now, and it is the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. It doesn't get the dishes clean unless I rinse and scrub them first, nor does it dry them. Whoever thought that steaming them would dry them is a .....well you get my drift. There is often a film left on the dishes, especially on plastic. I will never purchase a Samsung product again. Far too much money for a really lousy product.

I have had this unit for just over one year and it has been serviced 3 times for problems. The biggest problem is it just does not clean well. I bought this to replace a unit we had for 10 years that was quite cheap. My wife reminds me at least once per week how bad this one is! BB has offered to sell me a different unit at cost so it appears this is my only option. Do not make the same mistake I did. Do not buy this unit!

    Hate this machine

Installed the machine back in november, was never happy with the drying but the unit cleans rather well. The top rack could be redesigned for washing of smaller plastic tupperwares and such, but I've been living with it. This morning, the thing is dead. Won't start the wash cycle after it fills up. I have some clicking noise happening under the machine, probably a solenoid stuck, but if this happens after 60 days (luckily should still be in warranty) what is going to happen later? The self diagnostics aren't working either, so I can't give them an error code...

    NOT a great dishwasher

I bought this for my son's home in Texas, as his old one wasn't getting the job done, and I am the chief cook and bottle-washer. We have had it for six weeks now and used it every second day or so. We have tried every cycle, three different detergents, always with rinse aid, and loaded it lightly and according to the manual. Still the dishes come out streaked and sometimes dirty, even when they've been well scraped and rinsed before loading. The dishes must be placed just so to get anything like a decent result. Never have I used a dishwasher that required such babying and for such a poor result. Detergent capsules are useless and remain on the door, partially dissolved, even after a heavy cycle (and we found on reading the manual that gel or powder is recommended, meaning I assume that Samsung knows about this problem). Using the recommended powder type (NOT my preference) f the dispenser is even slightly overfilled, it becomes packed and does not dissolve. The hidden controls make for a sleek look, but having no dial means you have no way of knowing where the washer is on its cycle. There are no instructions for adding items in mid cycle. There is no provision or directions for prewash. I should have called the very first time we used it (had to run two whole cycles to get anything like a good result) , but we wanted to give it a fair trial using new products. I intend to call Home Depot tomorrow morning, hoping we aren't stuck with it now, because neither of us can afford to replace it. The one thing good about this thing is that it is quiet, but at what a cost! All in all, I believe Samsung should stick to electronics and leave major appliances to the pros.

    Keep Looking

All of our kitchen appliances are Samsung so this seemed like an obvious fit. After reading reviews about operational issues, I was skeptical but gave it a go. NEVER AGAIN. Owned the machine for exactly 11 months when I had to replace the main circuitry board, a water level piece, and now the pump motor. I am not handy with appliances so I have found a repair person who has been very helpful but I have not put enough money in this machine to have brought the total cost to over a $1000 at this point (initial purchase and replacement parts). Trust the customer reviews - do not buy a samsung dishwasher.

After 9 months, this dishwasher quit working. Samsung sent someone to repair it- 3 times! They spent $1200 repairing a $600 appliance and refused to replace it. It has been another 9 months, and it has quit working- AGAIN! The warranty has expired, so they are no longer responsible. I have had this dishwasher 18 months and need to replace it. Samsung has HORRIBLE customer service in addition!! DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!

I wish I could return this dishwasher. NOTHING FITS PROPERLY. My dinner plates are too large, my pots and pans have to be stacked haphazardly. The top rack is too low, unless you have 12 inch tall glasses it is a waste of space. I hate it. I cannot afford a new one so I will be hating it for the next few years. Seriously, unless all you wash are 8 inch plates DO NOT PURCHASE this dishwasher. You will regret it.

    Do not buy this dishwasher

I purchased this dishwasher approximately 2 years ago. It has been absolutely awful; doesn't wash the dishes well, and leaks water ... to the point where it has damaged my wood floor. I have had it serviced 3 times, by two Samsung partners. They tried different parts, but nothing has worked. Now the 'Heavy Wash' light is flashing and none of the buttons work. I am going to throw it out ... it's not worth the headache. I don't normally write these reviews, but hopefully this will save someone else a big problem. Do not buy Samsung appliances.

    Avoid this model

If you want to purchase this model, a Geek Squad warranty is essential. After 18 months of use, the dishwasher needed a complete new sump assembly (courtesy geek squad). The root cause of the problem was a broken macerator blade, which we discovered upon removal of the sump, months after it started cleaning poorly. The broken part of the blade finally jammed the drain pump, which triggered the GS call. Bad design and materials. Avoid this unit.

    Worst Purchase Ever!

I bought this dishwasher 1 year and 20 days ago, the purchasing process was awful at best, the installation was worse and the service after the product was installed has been nothing short of hellish. The day it was installed the water line was broken, the installer could have fixed it but Samsung needed to send their own guy out. Wait two weeks for a part I could have purchased at Best Buy, not off to a good start. Samsung comes out and installs it and does not test. Run a load of dishes, it does not clean. call for service, get ignored for weeks. Finally get a technician out in October, for the smell and non cleaning. He came out, the spinners were not connected and it was full of sludge. He told me I had rust, well, my previous dishwasher did not have this issue. reconnect the spinners, remove sludge, smell persist. Call for service, get ignored. (meanwhile I am hand washing my dishes and using paper plates) Finally after months of calling get support, oh and the ignoring pushed me out of warranty, I get someone to look at the file file and they send technicians out. These poor guys have come out 8 times, ordered every part you can think of, it still leaks so they can't test the issues. I don't think this saga will ever end.
