I've always had dual monitors, I went from dual 23" to this new and amazing dual curve 27" screens. quality is great! my wife loved the Blue Light filter "eye care" the curve screens gives my home office look futuristic. the dual port works well - i use DP for my home PC and my wife uses the HDMI for her work port replicator. she hooks up her laptop and she continues to work. i didnt give it 5 stars because the built-in speakers are not so great. otherwise, i recommend this to everyone that works from home a lot and occasional gaming.

Bought for my son 16th birthday as he had requested a gaming pc. He loves the monitor. He’s had for a month and has used regularly with no complaints.

I bought 2 27inch curved monitors. I love them. Quite an improvement.

This review is much more about the customer support that I received when the monitor failed than about the monitor itself, which was good when it has been working. Although it's a good monitor, I was surprised that it stopped working after about 5 months of moderate use (about 2-3 hours/day), and replacing a USB cable and trying a DisplayPort cable didn't fix the problem. I've had other monitors that I've used for years (Viewsonic, HP, Dell) without any problems. I expected at least a similar experience with a quality brand such as Samsung. Perhaps this was a fluke. Their customer/technical support was inconsistent. My initial communications and their follow-up communications at the end was good. My experience in the middle with their back end support team wasn't, which delayed my getting a replacement by another 1.5 weeks. After my initial support call, I had to hunt for some purchase information to submit to an online form, which then hung multiple times (different days). Then for some reason, Samsung canceled my Service Request after they didn't here back from me within about 5 days. (The tone of the communications coming from the resolution team felt impatient—I guess they were being measured on a turnaround metric?—even though Samsung wouldn't allow me to submit the information requested.) At that point, someone who didn't know what I was doing (perhaps someone new to support), told me that I had to start all over. Really!? I was about to frustratingly start the whole data entry process again, which again failed, so I decided to escalate my previously submitted SR data to a manager to was able to transfer it to a new one so that the support process to proceed. Eventually, after about more than 3 weeks, I finally got a working replacement monitor. After inquiring about the repair, I was told that the service team had replaced the circuit board to address the problem.

The monitor quality is really good. The picture is sharp and bright. I like the curved monitor. I have two of them side by side behind my notebook computer. The problem I had was the VESA holes in the back of the monitor are cheaply made. I mounted the monitors to a stand, but a few of the screw holes had threading issues that made them difficult to screw into, and one was so badly made that I couldn't put in a screw at all. Since I keep the monitors in one position, it works ok once I get it in place. But if I have to move the monitors at all, one of them is wobbly and has a hard time getting into the right position. It was also difficult to detach the existing stands when I changed to the desk mount. If you simply use the included stands, the monitors are fine.

The monitor was very easy to setup. It took only a second with a thunderbolt. The monitor was also easy to setup monitor stand. I like the curved screen. The screen is a perfect size. The only thing I would prefer is for the screen to be more sharp. The words on my screen are slightly blurry but it is not noticeable that would create any concerns.

So I’ve had this monitor for almost a year now an I’m really happy with my purchase I actually got two of them to go in my home office. I’ve never had an issue and the picture quality is great. I mostly use it for schoolwork since I’m in college at the moment finishing my degree. It’s worth the price and I think I might get a third since it would be great to have one more.

I purchased 2 of the for my home office. They are perfect for split screen work. These curved monitors are extremely easy to read. The picture color and clarity are the best I have ever seen. I would recommend this wet up to anyone looking for good size monitors with excellent picture quality.

Went through several monitors before setting on this Samsung 398 curved monitor. There is a certain 'immersion' that you get with the curved monitor. Tried several side by side with this one. Though the IPS panels and the 4K monitors I tried seemed a bit deeper and richer, this curved (VA panel) monitor does the job well and gives a little 'wow' factor. going back to a flat screen after looking at this one a while, things look so 2 dimensional. The only complain is the picture is a bit more bleached out than the others and you can't really tweak it out with the controls. But it is good enough to warrant 5 stars for what it is and the price range but you can get a better looking monitor at this price except without the curve. Has a solid and good looking stand, albeit no height adjustment. If money wasn't a factor I would have ordered one of the higher end curved samsungs, but like I said, this one is good enough.

I found I needed a new monitor. I chose this Samsung as it had the capability I wanted, was the size I preferred, and it was available at a good price. Thus far, I am impressed with the quality of the display. I also found I like the curved monitor.
