The first refrigerator that was delivered was damaged by the delivery people. The second refrigerator, the doors are getting out of alignment (a known problem) and it is very loud (also a known problem). Best Buy has been great and I will see if they are able or willing to fix it. This is an expensive refrigerator and it falls well short of my expectations. I wish I had believed the other reviews!!!

Delivery was on time . Samsung fridge is beautiful. I love the 4th drawer. It's so bright inside I can see everything in there!

Good space and fit almost everything I need to put in

Nice enough fridge but started having issues within a couple years. Consistently freezes up and requires you to either learn to fix/defrost yourself or pay for a technician to come out and disassemble it. Really frustrating to say the least. I honestly wouldn’t buy any Samsung home appliances as we’ve also had issues with our Samsung oven purchased at the same time.

This refrigerator looks and feels great and we love the lighting and setup of the shelves inside. However, the right door shelves are great for two gallons of milk on the lower shelf but the other two above are only good for small/short jars and bottles. The shelves on the left are not as good and are more limited in use than those on the right side door. I say that because of the shape due to the ice maker. It's not that we hate them but I am saying that it's harder to find a lot of items that fit there conveniently. The ice maker is hard to pull out and the dispenser is slow in my opinion. Maybe it's because the ice pieces are smaller and it takes more ice to fill up my cup. Also, when you select ice and push the button, water comes out of the water dispenser. It's a small amount but it does end up in the tray below. We like the freezer and love the middle drawer for our children. We keep cheese, fruit, snacks and juice boxes in there so they can reach them without assistance. My kids are 4 and 7. So far this fridge has been very loud and even to the point where some glass jars in the doors will rattle against each other. I'm not saying it's loud like a saw but it's annoyingly loud if you're sitting at the table and don't have the TV on and no one is talking. It's almost as if the motor is constantly running and rarely shuts off. I can't decide if it's the compressor or the ice maker or what but to me, in 2014, a refrigerator that costs almost 3k once you add in Geek Squad protection and taxes, SHOULD NOT be this loud. I will be calling Geek Squad about this in the next week or two. Also, the doors have to be shut and I mean pressed shut. Not like our old side-by-side that you could open the door all the way, grab what you needed and basically get the door started with your foot or elbow and it would shut. You have to purposely shut both doors. Itt's not a huge deal unless you have small children who don't pay bills. I'm giving this product 3 stars and almost gave it 2 because the look and feel are great but the noise and ice dispenser are too big of an issue to our family of 4. I would try a different brand and or make Best Buy show you one that is running so you can hear it foryourself and make sure you like the door storage.

Bought this about a month ago to replace a side-by-side that didn't have enough room. Very spacious fridge with a lot of storage options. It does seem to show more fingerprints than my previous Stainless Steel GE fridge, but not a big deal in the scheme of things - easy to wipe clean. Having read previous reviews, I don't think the ice maker is any noisier than my previous one. Love the room and the extra drawer. I do wish the drawer had better sections. The metal movable sections really don't do much to organize the space. I saw another one we liked much better, but didn't like other parts of that fridge. Got this one on a great Black Friday sale, and am very happy with the purchase so far!

Loved everything about the fridge, minus two small problems. First problem, although small was very annoying. The sticky tape that is used along the edges of the fridge, once removed, left an enormous amount of sticky material. I'm not talking about a few spots here and there. The entire area that the strip had covered, was left sticky. Used alcohol, windex, and then a gook remover. Eventually after a lot of elbow grease was used and a light scrubbing pad (gotta be careful, dont want to discolor/ruin the stainless steel), the sticky material was removed. But it seems kind of silly that at least an hour (all together) had to be spent removing something from a brand new expensive fridge. Second issue I had was with the middle drawer. It seems no one else had this problem so maybe I am just unlucky... the middle drawer often does not close all all the way. Twice I didn't notice the door was not flush and it was left open for a few hours. It often happens when I open, then close that drawer. It does not close all the way. I must then pull the drawer back out, and close again. It is very odd... if I could re do the purchase.. I probably would just get the 3 door fridge as this extra drawer has caused a lot of double checking.

Bought this refrigerator to replace an older GE profile side by side that died. The space and lighting in the fridge is awesome. Veggies are staying fresh longer. The middle pull out drawer is a perfect to put snacks in for our son and keeps sodas the perfect temp. Freezer pull out has plenty of room. Only reason for 4 stars is that ice maker is loud. It sounds like the ice is being dropped from the ceiling into the bin. It isn't a deal breaker for me but it is loud when the ice bin gets towards empty and it is refilling.

After reviewing the market & online search for a 'Big' fridge we came accross this very good deal! Samsung is supposed to be top of the line for french door refrigerators. This deal was $300 cheaper than same sizes (28cu.ft) in most stores, it is very spacious (depth & width) i feel it looks quiet 'empty' most of the time compared to what we used to store! The extra drawer (that i never really asked for) is very handy & practical to strore frequently accessed items especially that opening & closing the airtight doors with one hand is not as easy like with old fridges. And u can adjust the temperature for it as well! One thing is a bit annoying if u r picky, is that the stainless finish marks easily: fingers, water dropping from the dispenser, around the handles etc... keep a soft damp towel next to your fridge if u r 'shine' freak.. !! It's water dispenser nozzle is tilted backwards instead of straight down which annoys a bit if u'r having a small cup to fill & watch it.. But i guess, it's a matter of getting used to it. Freezer is huge. And the upper drawer makes it very convenient for small/medium or frequently used stuff in case u don't want to bend a lot.. We just got it last week, so i might come back & change my review to a 5 !

Remodeling our kitchen, we updated the appliances, and found this fridge to be stylish, energy efficient, useful (and on sale!), with lots of space for produce and groceries. We have been using it now for only 2 weeks but are pleased with its features. Having the freezer on the bottom prevents having to bend down more regularly needed items in the fridge, and the internal drawer and dividers allow us to organize frozen food. The central drawer is wonderful for items we use all the time, like deli meats, yoghurts and cheese, allowing easy access without having to open the main fridge. Although we haven't tried it yet, the drawer can also be adjusted in temperature down to soft freeze if needed. The lights are so bright, we can see into every corner clearly, and they also remind us by continuing to shine if the fridge door has not been closed properly, with the alarm being a backup if we still don't notice. The doors are substantial, and well-insulated, but the door shelves do not hold as much as our last fridge because of the space taken by the icemaker. The ice maker so far has worked well, and the only noticeable sound is the new ice falling into the storage box. We love the water and ice dispenser in the door-- so convenient. The only other drawback is that our fridge is installed next to a wall, so one of the doors has to be opened carefully so as not to hit the wall. The drawers are no problem, opening effortlessly, and we we have enough space to open the other side fully. So far food has stayed fresh and temperatures constant. The fridge is quite bulky, probably because it is so well-insulated, and is a full 36 inches wide, (despite the measurements listed in the specifications,) so make sure you have enough space for it, and room around it so that it can be moved in and out for maintenance and cleaning behind. Although the filter is easy to change, I understand that it is pricey, so that needs to be taken into account when budgeting.

We spent a lot of time looking at the different layout, options and features of this type of refrigerator before deciding on this Samsung. I read the reviews and it got great reviews by most people with a few "other than the noise, this is a great unit" type comments. I attributed those reviews to ultra sensitive ears because most people did not object to the noise and we proceeded with our purchase. Two very nice and efficient guys delivered our "1st unit" on time and with care. It looked great, but that night as we began loading our items into the refrigerator we realized how loud it was. I could sit in my office, 50 feet away from it and hear it run - not pleased. Because it sounded like a home made ice cream freezer running, I called to get a replacement. The "2nd unit" arrived via the same manner, on time and with care. The delivery guy, Pete, assured me the noise level coming from unit 1 was not normal. That second unit has ticked all the boxes, included low noise level (just a slight fan sound, nothing bothersome at all). We really like refrigerator. It replaced a very nice side-by-side unit, but we really like the layout of this machine better. Really nice lighting as well. Also, lots of comments in the reviews about the ice and water. Our take on that is: yes, the ice cubes are smaller and dispensed at a slower rate than we are used to but that doesn't mean it is unacceptable - just a little different. I kind of like the smaller cubes. The water dispenser works great, good flow, nothing crazy. One last thing - your opening better be exactly 36" wide or greater or this beast will not fit. It shows a width of 35.75" I believe, but there are little vents at the base of the sides of the refrigerator that take up the additional .25" of the opening.

I am 81 years old and my daughters bought me this refrigerator because my old one was beyond repair. I wasn’t looking for anything fancy but I must say, I love my new refrigerator. It has so much space compared to my previous 20 cuft refrigerator. Lots of adjustable shelves, drawers and spaces for odd shaped items. The drawer between the refrigerator and the freezer is very spacious and can keep lots of beverage cans cold. Then there’s the freezer. That too has a couple of bins and areas that you can keep small items and oddly shaped items frozen. I didn’t think I would like the ice dispenser and water on the outside of the refrigerator because I’ve never had that before. But, now that I have it, I make good use of it and I love it. This refrigerator is a combination of quality, functionality and looks good, too! You won’t be disappointed!

Had the refrigerator about six weeks now. Looks good and lots of space inside. Ice maker / water dispenser is nice but a little noisy. My old fridge was a lot quieter when it was making ice. One thing about the water dispenser is that you have to run several cups of water before all the air is purged from the system. Until this is done completely, water will drip from the dispenser after you fill your cup. This is normal and will stop after enough water has been drawn from the system. Other than that, everything is great so far.

It keeps the food cold like it's supposed to and we love the amount of space it has compared to the side-by-side fridges we have owned over the years. I love the LED lighting and it is very bright to where you can find everything. I did knock of a star for the noise, when the compressor kicks in. If it's quiet in the kitchen you can hear it when i comes on, but it's not noticeable if the TV is on in the next room.

We knew the upgrade to an expanded refrigerator would require challenges to get it in the house and require cabinet modifications to increase the height clearance, but we felt these were small modifications compared to the increased amenities and that these changes would help launch the capabilities of our kitchen to a significant new level. The Samsung provides a welcome friend to our home - providing everything we needed and much more. It does everything it advertised very well and looks superb. Got over $1400 off the price with the sale and military discount, plus matched price of competitor. Delivery guys knew just how to squeeze it in and I modified the upper shelf myself. The old Kenmore was still running and went to a new home, as well. Win - Win - Win!!!

I read all of the reviews on this refrigerator, let me say that I had some concerns about purchasing the Samsung refrigerator. With reviews about broken ice makers or leaking water from the water dispenser. My wife was sure she would be happy with the refrigerator. So we purchased the refrigerator and we are extremely happy with the refrigerator. It has a tremendous amount of space, the lighting inside the refrigerator is awesome. We have not had any problems with the refrigerator. We have had the refrigerator for a month now.The delivery gentlemen did a great job of installing and setting up the refrigerator. The delivery was made on time as scheduled. We are happy with our Samsung refrigerator.

The fridge is roomy and quiet. Everything has worked well. The only knocks were that the doors were not properly aligned vertically, however the owners manual clearly explained how to even the doors and it was quick and easy. Otherwise with so many storage options we are still trying to figure out the best way to use the space efficiently

Overall we are very satisfied with this fridge. We have only had it for a month or 2 so I can't comment on longevity or long term reliability. I can say this is a beautiful appliance. It has a sleek yet industrial look thanks to its impressive size (compared to your average style fridge this thing is a storage beast!). It cooled quickly after install and both fridge and freezer keep things at their optimal coldness. Love the flexibility of the storage drawer also. Endless options and ways to store items of any bulk or shape/size. Possibly the best feature is the finish which is impressively resistant to fingerprints and smudges. We use a stainless steel cleaner which works best but I have noticed even a light wipe from a dry or damp towel is good enough for light jobs. Only area that we have noticed could use improvement would be the ice dispenser. Occasionally when dispensing a larger quantity of ice there is hesitation despite ample ice in the dispenser. This is true with any ice makers we have owned but we were hoping with an updated model the issue would be eliminated. Unfortunately that has yet to be the case. Otherwise we are happy with this item and we would encourage others to purchase this fridge. We happen to own the oven/range combo and microwave that are part of the set and are highly satisfied with them as well. Samsung has put out some great kitchen appliances that perform as good as they look!

I've only had this refrigerator for a couple of months. I replaced my 20yr old side by side refrigerator with this one. The ice maker is really loud when the ice drops. The middle drawer has kind of a strange layout it seems to not open all the way so things in the back you can't see. I do like the organization of the freezer section. The adjustable shelves at the top are very nice (one of the reasons I bought this model). Overall I do love this refrigerator and would purchase again.

I love this refrigerator and have been watching for about a year now for a good deal on it and Best Buy came through with pre-black Friday sale pricing and an additional 10% off when you purchase 4 Samsung appliances. It's a great size and I love the middle drawer which pulls out without opening the entire fridge. We use it for wine, beer & soda, but we may add snacks for grandchildren once they get older so they can reach them. I like the freezer on the bottom-it's nice sized and has the handy extra sliding drawer inside it. I also like the option to make one of the shelves pull back for larger items. This fridge looks great and does a great job.
