Customers are saying

Customers admire the 28” ViewFinity UHD IPS AMD FreeSync with HDR Monitor's picture quality, color vibrancy, and value for its price, frequently praising the HDR capabilities and ease of use. However, some users express concerns regarding the refresh rate and the monitor stand's sturdiness. Additionally, the lack of built-in speakers and the placement of the VESA mount have drawn criticism, as has the input switching mechanism.

The price was too good to pass up, hubby and I like to play our Xboxes on smaller screens, I was successfully able to snatch a XSX during launch week but hubby has not. I have never had a 4K monitor/TV before and it honestly never really appealed to me. Hubby insisted that I try it out and let me tell you, when I changed the settings and enhanced it to 4k.......I have converted. I am NEVER going back! Literally changed my life. I am so so happy with my purchase! While the stand does not swivel or even adjust I think it's perfect at it's height! I am so so happy with this!

Works just as expected with a beautiful picture. Although this won’t hit higher than 60hz, the monitor is smooth when gaming even at 4K full hdr

Bought this as an open box item, but it's just like brand new. The customer rep at the store was awesome, resolving issues I had with my BestBuy credit card. For VESA mounting make sure to use the provided washers with your monitor arms. Those raise mounting brackets above the circular edge. Check the pictures attached.

Pros: Excellent monitor. Very clear, good resolution. Price is right. Cons: not very adjustable- tilts back and forth a small amount, does not raise up and down as far as I can tell. Speakers are terrible of course, but that's just the way it is with monitor speakers.

I was able to get this monitor on a sale otherwise I would have went with a less expensive 1080p monitor. I would have made a mistake. The higher resolution makes this TV really worth it for me. The monitor sits on my desk about 2 to 3 feet away and I can't see any pictures. The image is great. I am not a gamer so the refresh rate is not a big deal for me and I can't speak to that. However, it is a bright clear image.

I bought this monitor to replace my 32in 2k monitor for trading and productivity, and have been very happy with it. The size is perfect, the colors are vibrant, the resolution is fantastic, and the panel is bright enough to be seen in my mildly bright room. The only thing that was a bit of a pain was the mounting on a monitor arm, but I figured it out. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great work monitor at a reasonable price.

Nice monitor; replace base with steel after-market

Excellent display. Very happy with image quality and the build seems solid. After reading the reviews on the flimsy, non-swivel base that came with the monitor, I ordered an after-market metal swivel base, VIVO STAND-V001H, for about $30 from the big A. When I unboxed the monitor, I didn't even open the supplied base--it went into the round container. After market base seems well-built. It has a big foot that look like a V facing you, but it doesn't take up too much space. The online video showing how to assemble made it easy to install. You will need to offset the VESA mounting plate from the back of the monitor. I bought some rubber and narrow-hole wide steel washers from Ace Hardware. Used one of each (about 1/4" depth total) to offset the plate (75 spacing). I might have stripped one of the mounting screw holes with the screws supplied by the AM base, so don't over-tighten. In spite of that, setup seems solid and so far I am happy with it. You have to make sure the tension on the swivel bracket is just right, but once set, swivel works OK. Not as smooth as a Dell monitor base, but adequate. Would do this again if I bought another monitor just like this one.

The colors are top notch, the IPs glow is the lowest I’ve ever seen on a monitor, backlight bleed is almost non existent, 4K and 28inch makes ppi of 160+! the picture super sharp, quality control seems to be in check! No stuck or dead pixels on mine, Freesync works great with Nvidia even though it doesn’t have compatible sticker, the response time is great! At 60hz I get very minimal ghosting which is insane! Idk how Samsung did it, and HDR isn’t bad at all! Not amazing but Bright enough.

    Great monitor for Series S

Before I bought this monitor I did research on many 4k monitors under $400. I use this 4k monitor with a Xbox Series S and at first it looked bad. I had to calibrate it several times before I was happy with my settings. If you use freesync don't use hdr, they don't work together and vice versa. It now looks great when playing most games. I think it upscales the Series S well, it should look even better with the Series X or PS5. The monitor is bright enough and the hdr even though its not perfect looks great.

Solid 4k monitor. Very crisp screen quality, colors are great, freesync works well. Use it for streaming shows, movies and gaming. Works very well in all aspects. Only downside would be for fast twitch gaming, the refresh rate is low. When you look at it from a price/performance perspective though, you cant beat this monitor

Screen quality is excellent but the stand/base isn't straight for me. I heard other people say the stand is no good. What's up Samsung? Also the only button it has is very cheap feeling and delicate so you better be gentle with it. The first time I bought this the button was broken and had to get an exchange. Would I buy it again? Probably not

Upgrading from a 1080p Acer 21.5" and this thing is not only massive but is also beautiful. I paid about $300 (not inc tax) and I would consider it worth my money. It's also rather thin, about an inch. Also it has a DisplayPort spot even though I don't remember them really advertising that but I saw it in the photos. Also the joystick style single control for the monitor is much better than a bunch of buttons. The addition of FreeSync/HDR/Eye Fatigue settings are also welcome additions.

Perfect for my use case. Sharp 4K UHD with HDR. And the price was fantastic. I use this at work while at home I have the LG model. The LG one is finicky - sometimes does not work or shows burns. I have to then turn it off for some time for the burns to go away. This one looks far superior than LG.

Using this to hook up to my Mac mini. Had a different Samsung monitor before that just seemed off (wasn't sure if it was the color or text being a little blurry, 1080 display, or both).. This monitor, however, looks perfect. No complaints! I don't see any blurry/weird text in whatever resolution I go with. Colors look like Mac colors. GREAT screen real estate.

Very good monitor for this price point! It sets next to my retina MacBook Pro so it doesn’t look quite as bright and vivid in comparison, but it’s also not the $1500 studio display either. I’m very pleased, I should’ve bought two!

At 1/6th the price of the Apple Studio Display

I picked up this monitor to replace a Sony Playstation branded 1080p monitor which was released to support the PS3 so many years ago. The main use of the Sony monitor was to be a secondary monitor to my iMac. My iMac was showing it's age so an upgrade was due. I now own the Mac Studio powerhouse with the Studio Display and a 4k display to replace the Sony was in mind. I didn't want to spend a ton of money as Apple did a good of draining my pocketbook. I looked at the Bestbuy website and saw that this monitor was on sale for $219.00. It was in stock. Unfortunately there was not one on display. That didn't bother me overall as there is an adaquate return window. I got home and set it up using the HDMI port on the Mac Studio. At first I was totally impressed with the resolution and clarity of the picture but the colors were completely off. I did some playing with the monitor settings. There were some improvements but still not close. My next steps led me to look into the Mac settings to the monitor. By default the Mac will list the color profile as the monitors factory settings. I chose Display P3 as a color profile and that changed everything! My $219.00 Samsung was looking comparably as good as my $1600 Studio Display. Granted I get that the Apple Display is designed for professionals where color accuracy is of upmost importance but at the same time for casual users the Samsung will not disappoint. Given that it was 1/6th the cost of the Studio Display it is well worth the money. BTW I used $109.00 in free Apple Cash that I earned when I purchased the Mac Studio and Display. All said and done I got this monitor for a little over $100.00 out of pocket.

I was looking for a 27” Monitor to use primarily for recording music. 4K would be nice to also watch performance videos but it wasn’t necessary. I came across this monitor during Black Friday of 2022. I purchased it but…you guessed it, I caught Covid so the monitor was placed back in stock. When I checked online after I was Covid Free, the monitor price had gone up significantly. After waiting another 6 weeks, the monitor went back to the Black Friday price, and I grabbed it. This monitor is perfect for me. It’s 4k picture was fantastic. You’ll have to calibrate to your exact taste but the fact that you even do that is a plus. It has (2) HDMI 2.0 Inputs as well as (1) Display Port Ver 1.2. The screen is 28” and not 27”. You would think that this would be barely noticeable but I noticed it right away, having come from a 27” monitor with a large bezel. You won’t regret buying this monitor, especially if you can get it for under its $350.00 retail price.

Bought this for my PC and Xbox. For my PC it’s perfect. The display is bright and the dynamic contrast is perfect for email and general purpose like spreadsheets. I do trading so the Eye Save Mode feature is perfect for it. Doesn’t hurt my eyes in a completely dark room. The only draw back is the auto input switching. Has never worked and have given up on it. The center control button also sometimes takes a while to load which can be annoying. For the Xbox on the other hand... the video looks great. Crip and clear with beautiful HDR, but for some odd reason it auto toggles in and out of HDR based from game to game and the Home Screen which has been a problem. If I’m in an HDR game and go to Home Screen the screen turns black and then I’m stuck not being able to do anything. The center button won’t do anything, the input switching doesn’t do anything. The only way to get it out is by guessing at getting back to the game. Overall it’s a good monitor for the HDR, Eye Saver and Dynamic Contrast. I did try to use it as a second monitor for my 27” iMac and it sucked. The 5k resolution on my iMac makes this thing look like a 1080p monitor. I tried adjusting the settings but couldn’t get it to match the iMac so I stopped using it for it. Not saying the monitor doesn’t produce a great image, it’s just doesn’t compare the iMac.
