I paired it with the Samsung wireless rear speakers to get the full experience and I was impressed overall. More importantly this soundbar does support Dolby Atmos which gives a rich audio experience for movies or games that support it. The downside is the available ports are very limited and most HDMI splitters will not support Dolby Atmos. So if you use a minimal amount of other video equipment then this is a fine choice.

Great sound frustrating firmware

I have no complaints about the sound experience. Unfortunately the firmware is just terrible. The input doesn’t change correctly about 50 percent of the time. One day I will turn it on and it will go to the correct input just fine. The next day it will go to the wrong input and I will have to go get the remote and switch to the correct input. I’m sure this is a firmware problem that REALLY needs an update. Samsung has offered suggestions to bypass this but their recommended fix also makes it so the Atmos sound will not work. That kind of defeats the purpose of spending the extra money and buying an Atmos capable sound bar. There are many complaints about this happening. Samsung needs to fix this with an update. Until then I recommend looking elsewhere for a sound bar.

I am very sorry to see that the soundbar is not maintaining the desired source connection. Please know that the soundbar will remember the last setting before it was turned off. Thus, if you wish the soundbar to turn on to detect a certain input, make sure that input is the last-used source when you turn off the soundbar.
