A basic Chromebook with low price point and decent performance. Pros:. Compact, has full size HDMI port, has microSD slot, not very heavy and very good battery life Cons:. Only 2 USB ports, charge/battery status LED on left rear next to the adaptor port. I deducted one star for not being able to quickly see battery/charge status while laptop is in use without having to turn the unit sideways. Would be nice to have more than 2 USB ports. All ports occupied if you plug in a mouse and a USB stick. This is my second Chromebook (and my first one is still being used). A lot of the poor reviews on this Chromebook (and probably all Chromebooks) come from failure to understand the limitations of a Chromebook. Do your homework and research this product, understand the limitations of this product, understand what you can and cannot do with a Chromebook and you will at minimum like this product.

Picked up this Chromebook to get familiar with ChromeOS and it served me quite well when I used it. Constantly had anywhere from 5-7 tabs open and didn't have any slow time switching between them once loaded. Nice look to the chassis and keys, good travel and nice touchpad. I only upgraded because I watch a lot of movies through VUDU and Netflix on here, and I wanted a Full HD screen (This one is a bit more than 720P) and an IPS panel for wider viewing angles and better colors. This one is a TN panel, but I think most users will still be fine with it for productivity and general e-mail use.

I owned the original Samsung Chromebook and it was a wonderful machine. I bought it because I was in pretty dire straits and needed a computer ASAP. It helped me through student teaching like a champ. It has steadily gone downhill after a long time of good use, and today I primarily used it for sitting on my couch and doing non intensive tasks like surfing the internet, using Google music, YouTube or Google Docs. I went out and purchased this one and it exceeds my expectations. The original Chromebook from Samsung was a great little machine, but the 3 goes further. It is responsive, quick, has a decent processor and is loaded with non bloatware apps that make using it a breeze. The fact we'll probably get the Google Store at some point is also icing on the cake. For $200, can't do much better than this!

The charging port on the computer (the hole you stick it in) wouldn't hold the charger it kept falling out. Best Buy Geek Squad was happy to help and went above and beyond to help me with a replacement or upgrade. I did not choose to replace it with the same computer, i definitely upgraded after using this one. It's too simple and made me miss Windows OS. If all you need it for is to connect to the internet and to download a few small apps then this is 5 stars for that specific need. For example, I would totally be happy to buy this for my middle schooler as a first real laptop, internet to do research or watch youtube and you can download Word type apps to homework on.

The limited memory and small 'hard drive' doesn't make this a computing powerhouse, but if you don't mind turning all your stuff over to the Google cloud then it works just fine. Good for students and others who don't have need for a productivity suite like MS Office.

Bought this Chromebook, and it worked great the first 2 weeks then the screen went black while I was typing on it and it wouldn't ever restart. I shipped it back to the manufacturer and they replaced the motherboard and shipped it back in only a few days. Now it works great (again). Save your box, and packing materials, and receipt, just in case. I'm using it now to write this review. Love the ease, quick start-up, and how lightweight it is.

We bought this for our parents and they are not into the new world of technology. We convinced them to try it and they absolutely love that it is easy to use and very fast! They use it everyday and were happy to know that it connected to their printer very easily with no issues. Greatly satisfied!

I purchased this netbook for my wife. She is not into the huge powerful computers, so I decided to purchase a small light but quick little thing for her emails, Netflix and YouTube. So far, it has hold its weight in everything. Some webpages do load very slowly, and I mean slowwwww. But other than that, its great to have around, I caught myself using it a couple of times :)

I have bought 5 Chromebooks over the last 4 years. This one is very well made. It is not as fast as my N21 Lenovo with a slightly faster fanless Intel CPU but performs fine. The display is very good for a low end Chromebook & the keyboard is fair. A very compact & light device and the battery life is better than my N21 Chromebook too. If you are just an average user this Chromebook is fine for you. If you need better performance then try a ChromeBook with a faster CPU. It's basic and gets web surfing & email as well as video watching done just fine when using YouTube or Google Play's Movie app for rentals.

I love this computer, we had a Samsung Chromebook for about 3yrs before this one and really liked it, but this one is faster and lighter, yes we would buy it again.

Great product for middle school or high school students. Or daughter uses it all the time.Small, light weight, and very convenient. The only drawback is that it is not compatible with all wireless printers. Our 12 year old daughter figured out how to make it work with our wireless printer in spite of this. Just make sure to research which printer it works with before purchasing.

Easy to use,fast and light.Replaced a older model with this one and it's improved.

This Chromebook is a good deal for the money. If you don't mind having to be connected via Wifi to use it, you will like this. It is a nice size and light-weight for traveling. The battery lasts on each charge. I will definitely purchase again when the time comes.

I have actually had a Chromebook for several years. I got my first one in college after my laptop died. I realized there we a lot of features on a normal laptop that I just didn't use, so when I got to Best Buy, I told the sales rep the only things I needed on a laptop and he pointed me to the Samsung Chromebook. I was so impressed with the simplicity and ease of use, I never wanted to go back to a real laptop again. So when my first Chromebook stopped working a few weeks ago (it lasted 4 years and it was my fault, I stepped on it by accident), I didn't hesitate to get another one. They don't make the model I had anymore, so I now have an upgraded model and I just love it!

I purchased this for my son to use instead of his school issued Chromebook. This works a lot better and was reasonably priced. I haven't heard any complaints from my son and he uses it daily for school purposes. I'm satisfied with this purchase from Best Buy.

Lightweight and easy to set up. Web pages load fast but have a tendency to drop. Not sure if this is from the Chromebook or slow WIFI where I am living. The video through Netflix is also poor quality.

Purchased for my son whose in college because he wanted a laptop that was lighter and functional for his use. Looked into other chromebooks but Samsung was the one that had all his needs. The only thing is the size, purchased it online and was littler smaller than realized.

My 9 year old purchased this with her birthday money. I will tell you I love the Chromebook. No fuss, no muss. Very easy to set up and very easy to navigate through the internet and downloaded apps! I like it better than the 11.6 HP STREAM I bought a while back, no Windows 8 to navigate through and I also couldn't update to Windows 10 on the HP because there's not enough memory and I have nothing stored on it. Great computer for all ages and it streams videos and movies just fine.

This is soo lightweight, that I now take it everywhere with me to use. I prefer typing, as opposed to the stylus for a tablet, so this little thing is perfect. I came across it by accident, when a co-worker brought her laptop to work. I knew I just had to get it. I absolutely love it.

This laptop has been the best computer for simple Web browsing, typing documents and even a little bit of gaming. It's lightening fast, and the battery life is great. I was seriously impressed. Add an SD card if you want extra storage offline and then use your drive for the rest. I take this computer with me every day!
