My first front loading washing machine...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I read tons of reviews before deciding to buy this washer and dryer. I am thoroughly pleased with this purchase(I bought it almost 10 months ago) The cycles are long but I hardly use any soap(but i do load up on softener)... There were a few things I wish I had known before that I learned by having to call customer service... Which, by the way, you can't beat Samsung's call center and service people. I called at 2 am two days before Christmas and they had someone at my door at 8:45am- 6+ hours after I made the call. -the washer needs to stay in a reasonably warm room, the bearings get cold in freezing temperatures and make it difficult for it to spin. -if you do not use the washer cleaner(once a month as recommended)- products build up in lines and make it more difficult for it to operate properly. -you should run hot water loads every once in a while to also help with product build up. -OH! and this is a big one, DO NOT even accidentally spin the dryer drum COUNTERclockwise because the belt slips off a pulley. Now, that I know how to properly avoid common problems I would definitely reccomend this to someone...

1st one bad, 2nd one good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick summary is that 1st machine vibrated too much and wouldn't get to full spin speed. Used 30 day Best Buy return policy to exchange for exact same model. 2nd machine works. Details: 1st machine wouldn't get to full spin speed even though we leveled machine, it would try to spin fast and then slow down and try to rebalance the load. it did this repeatedly. Repair guy said the problem was our floor allowing too much vibration when there were clothes inside (machine is in a 1st floor laundry room with basement underneath). We bought damping pads to put under each leg and even put a sheet of plywood under the machine just to see if that would help. We had also been planning to get new tile floor and we thought the cement backer board under the tile and the new tile might do the trick. We also put braces between the joists of the basement ceiling directly underneath the machine. That seemed to help (1 of 4 loads got to full spin speed). Best Buy said that no one else had complained about the machine so I agreed to swap 1st machine for the 2nd of the same model. That works. I felt comfortable keeping machine since I had bought a 4 year geek squad warranty on it. Note: there is always water sitting in bottom of detergent drawer after a load. I empty it after each load. don't know if this is supposed to happen.

excellent washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did my research and found this washer the best value for what i could afford. I have washed 20 loads in less than 2 weeks. They come out soo clean and dry also. Even cleans my sons oily and dirty work clothes (mechanic). I keep looking for things to wash i love it so much. Washer went on sale a week after i bought it and best buy credited my account the difference. I did buy the extended service. From what i read front loaders need more service, i figure if i need service 2 times in 5 years it more than pays for itself.

Good, But Maybe Not a Great Value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second front loader. My first was a Frigidaire that I bough about seven years ago for $1000 with its matching dryer. That set or their equivalents now retails for ~$900. They performed great, but unfortunately, I had to give them away. So after being without a clothes washers and dryer for a year, I looked for a new set thinking it was time to upgrade a steam washer and dryer. I bought this Samsung set-- the washer and its matching steam dryer-- for $1100 in a Pre-black Friday sale around Thanksgiving. I had the pair installed earlier this wee and I have done a half dozen cycles on the machine. The machine has been up to snuff thus far but honestly I am not completely impressed. BB delivered the product early in the morning and installed the washer. They even attached my dryer electric cord even though I bought it else where (I needed an extra long cord that BB didn't carry#. However, they would not stack the dryer since it was in a closet and claimed it was too difficult. I wound up doing that myself. As far as the machine's performance goes it is good in most respects and works about as well as my previous washers. It does suffer in two critical ways. #1# The machine has a fair number of cycles, but most take about an hour to complete which is a long even for a front loader. The cycles take quite a bit longer if you want steam or you choose other options. So this machine really needs another short cycle besides the quick and delicate cycles it already has. #2) There is no option for an extra rinse or an extra spin. The latter would be particularly useful for those of use that don’t want to run the spin on high. The Samsung machines do seem sturdier despite being the same weight as my old machines. They also have a larger capacity which may be helpful for some although it means little to me. The washer displays the time a cycle will take and the left in the cycle which can be very helpful for planning purposes although thus far cycle always that longer than the machine “expects”. One bit of warning, if you use the Sanitize cycle, make sure everything is extremely color-fast. I washed a towel in that cycle that was normally color-fast and I came out looking bleached. My conclusion so far is that while the machine is good, it can’t be great without quicker wash times and a few extra cycle options. Quite frankly it is those simple feature that really make a huge difference. I absolutely can’t imagine this pair being worth their ~$1500 to $2000 list price but given that I paid only $200 more than the entry level front-loaders, I am satisfied with the deal I got.

one year review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything about this washer is amazing. It is basically silent other than a slight "whirring" noise during the final spinning cycle. Even then it is very quiet on a ceramic tile floor. Would likely be even quieter on a hardwood or vinyl floor. There are literally zero cons about this machine. We bought it with its matching dryer (Samsung model DV330AEW) about a year ago so anything annoying or any nuances would likely have presented themselves by now... and haven't. Our clothes are cleaner and brighter than before and are finished washing in much shorter time (25-35 mins for a normal+ load). We're saving a lot of water and power which has been evident in our utility bills. There are cycles to match any need which believe it or not comes in very handy if you've never had the opportunity to use a washer with specialized cycles. There is a bedding cycle which uses scalding hot temps to deep clean things in addition to countless other cycle options. My fiance uses a very gentle cycle for bras, panties, etc. to keep lace from tearing and whatnot. Keeping her happy is what this is all about... am I right? We ended up purchasing this specific washer/dryer set because the Samsung set we were looking at happened to be out of stock. The local Best Buy store (Athens, GA) was very accommodating and offered to price match this set with the lower price of the less-featured set and also tossed in free delivery. We could not have been any more pleased with this purchase in regards to both the product itself as well as the service provided by Best Buy. I'd highly recommend this washer to anyone in the market for an upgrade. You definitely would not regret the decision. One last thing... if you do end up purchasing this or any other Energy Star certified washer, you may be eligible for an incentive rebate from your power company. I know Southern Company (Georgia Power, Alabama Power, etc.) offer such a rebate. Doesn't hurt to check!

WOW!!!!!!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this washing machine. I love the music it plays after your wash is done. My clothes are cleaner. I'm saving water and electricity. It spins my clothes so well I use less propane for my dryer. I can't wait to get its partner; the dryer so I can drop the propane that costing me major bucks. I have no complaints about this machine.

Great Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer about two months ago. So far so good. Unit is very sturdy and functions very quietly. My wife and I have used every cycle and all function very well. I don't know if I'm imagining things... But washed items seem to smell better than I remember from my old set. The ease of use is ridiculous. I've only looked in the manual to reference maintenance of the machine. Also bought matching dryer. Above could be said the same for the dryer. Matter of fact? I'm cutting and pasting this review for the dryer. Would highly recommend this item to anyone that earns a paycheck and doesn't want to give it all away.

Brilliant!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this machine for about a week now and have absolutely loved it. It has performed very well on regular and delicate loads all week ,but the real test came today with our king size down comforter. Just took it out of the machine, and I have never seen it so clean!! It also doesn't have that "wet down" smell that I'd come to accept as normal. Additionally, all clothes and bedding come out amazingly dry. Our old washer was a top load HE model that did a good job of spinning out the water, but nothing compared to this. Our drier time has been cut tremendously which will surely be an energy saver. It is also so quiet that I keep checking to make sure it's actually running! The only downside to this model is that it has a prewash feature but not a presoak setting--something I used frequently on our old washer. However, so far the Samsung is doing a great job without it. It also isn't as good at removing pet hair from the dog /cat bedding (we have 10). The hair sticks in the bedding and all over the washer. I have to wipe out the drum completely before washing the people laundry and hair still shows up on the next load. Can't imagine this is a problem for the typical household, though!

Very pleased.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The "spider" (holds drum in place) from our old Sear front loading washer rusted out and dropped down 3 or 4 inches...two different types of metals joined together doesn't make for long-term performance, and had to make a quick buy because visitors were coming in a couple days. We did some quick research and decided on this unit. We purchase a lot of Samsung products. Went to Lowes and Best Buy to compare prices and both had sales, but Lowes didn't have it in stock . Best Buy delivered the next day (Memorial weekend!) on time. The product is easy to use. We made sure to read the manual, but missed the part about adding towels or something to light-weight loads. They didn't seem to be coming out very clean. But once we added items to the load the larger load cleaned the clothes properly. We now use HE detergent just to be safe. Target has nice sales on the detergent every so often. We haven't tried to wash a comforter yet, but the capacity seems more than adequate. We would certainly recommend this product to our friends.

Can't go wrong with a Samsung.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Off to a Great Start! Just bought the WF330 Washer/Dryer and I am already (and thoroughly) pleased with their performance. Washer immerses washables w/o drowning them in water. Washer gently and rhythmically tumbles items. Poetry in motion. Clothes emerge clean, soft and fresh. Wish there was a drum light inside the washer as there is in the dryer. Glad I got the pedestals. Highly recommended.

Samsung says it all!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I began my search for my new washer dryer I was torn between several brands LG, Samsung, Maytag. Finally after doing my research I decided to go with the highly rated Samung (customer satisfaction) It was the best decision for me I like the fact that the buttons are pronounced, the reading display is bright and clear. Quiet washer and Dryer, adequate clearance for my counters.

great price for great washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first washer that I've bought. I have always used the old top loading washers with agitators and they have always stuck lint on my clothes or I always found little rips and tears on my clothes. I was deciding between a front loader or a top loader (without agitator) but the price on this front loader couldn't be passed up. I also bought this based on the fact that I can wash my queen size bedding without having to go to the laundry mat. So far I have been able to put a twin size comforter, queen sheets and pillows and still have room for more laundry. I can do all my laundry which used to take two loads into one. Wash cycles are longer but there is a quick wash that is only 28 minutes and I didn't see the difference between that and the regular wash, which was 50 minutes. This washer got out moldy smells left on clothes I got from previous washers and also the dried on lint from previous washers as well. The washer is really quiet, and I never hear it. We self installed and didn't really level it like instructed, but we just put a piece of cardboard on one of the shakier sides and no vibration. The jingle at the end is cute too. it leaves clothes practically close to dry that you don't really need much time to dry it. It's an excellent buy for a first time buyer!

LOVE THIS MACHINE!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this machine 2 months ago and absolutely LOVE it! First of all it is SO quiet I forget I'm even doing laundry. Not only that but it cuts back on the amount of water that I use. I actually watched several loads being washed and was amazed by how LITTLE water it uses and yet cleans my clothes so much better than my other washer. It does take a little longer for the load to wash (right about an hour) BUT this is made up for by shorter drying time! I use less soap and I don't have to worry about forgetting to put rinse in my clothes b/c it does it for you! I even forgot to pre-treat strawberry stains off my son's white socks and they were perfectly clean when they came out! I did purchase the protection plan b/c I feel better safe than sorry. I read LOTS (and I do mean LOTS) of reveiws prior to purchasing this machine and you will read the good, bad and everything in between. Because things do happen and this machine is all digital I chose to purchase the plan. So far in 2 months I have had NO problems!!! I actually enjoy doing laundry now....crazy???? I am beginning to wonder that! :)

Don't believe JudgementNite
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Please take the negative review from JudgementNite with a grain of salt. His review could not possibly be for THIS washer (the WF330). This model is brand new and only been on sale for a few weeks, so he couldn't have had all this service done and a warranty expire already. I'm not saying he didn't have these problems on some other Samsung washer, but it was NOT this model. Samsungs warranty is EXCELLENT. They warrant the entire unit for 1 year, drum for 3 yrs and the motor for a whopping 10 YRS. I'll write another review on the machines performance once we use if for a few months, I just wanted to clear up this negative review so that it didn't hinder others from trying this model and giving IT an honest critique.

Great washer for a family
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently replaced a very basic top loading washer with this front loading Samsung. I've been very happy with the performace of the product and the variety of functions. With a family of 4, laundry is never ending, but the capacity of this washer has reduced the number of loads I do on a weekly basis. One of the elements I was most interested in was a washer that could handle heavy bedding, and this washer does without a problem. As mentioned, the washer capacity is great, but presents an interesting challenge. The washer seems to manage large, relatively full loads best. On the occasions that I've washed a smaller load, it takes longer. The washer has a difficult time keeping small loads balance during the spin cycle. It will still clean effectively, you just need to plan for the time it will take to finish the full wash cycle.

excellent value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife so enjoys doing laundry than before, I have been told not to touch and she would take care of washing, whats up with that. No problems detected, loads take longer to do but man what a clean that we have noticed, we are happy with what we got.

great washer for the value
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned the washer for a little more than 2 months--my first front load. It has taken a little time to get used to the longer wash cycles (usually 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours), but I love that the clothes come out cleaner--a must for the mom of two little boys. I've had one error pop up on the machine that gave me a little scare saying it needed service but I just restarted it and haven't had problems since. So far I'm happy!

Great for dirty work clothes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work in heavy construction, mostly roads, primarily asphalt. My clothes are filthy by the end of the day (road oil). Reguardless of which detergent I used in my old washer my clothes never were clean. After washing my work clothes in my new Samaung washer my clothes came out cleaner than after the first day on the job.
