    My First HDTV

This was my first HDTV, and I am overall pleased. I use this as both my television and computer monitor. I also use this for my Xbox 360 Game System. I love the speakers on the side. The virtual surround sound is better than any tube tv that I had. The sound is good for us overall casual TV watchers. The picture is very good. I am not a hardcore videophile, but this picture does seem better than your cheaper brands (Vizio,Insignia,Westinghouse). The picture-in-Picture is only for watching tv while you are on your computer. I was a little upset that I couldn't watch two channels at once. All HD televisions are very slow when switching channels in my experience, when comparing to traditional tube televisions. It something I do not enjoy. The price is higher than some of your cheaper brands, but I think it is worth it in terms of getting what you pay for. I paid $900 for this TV. $800 is still a little high, but if you can get this for $750 or less, than it is a must have as of early-mid 2008.

Had my previous Sony TV about 10 years - nearly had sticker shock when I started looking at new TVs. Bought the TV on 1/25. Easy to set up. Great picture and sound. No problems and no complaints. Great TV for the $. Thanks Samsung!

    First Flat Screen

This was my first flat screen tv. I was very impressed with this unit right out of the box. Although the set-up is easy, it did take quite sometime for the TV to scan all the cable channels. The picture is quite impressive and I will most likely buy another unit when I need one. I picked the 32 inch set due to the size requirements of my entertainment system where I am putting the unit. After the TV scanned all the channels (30 minutes), I then found myself having to delete each channel one at-a-time. I think a great software enhancement (Samsung are you reading?) would be to select the channels you want or dont want and have the TV store them. Outside of deleting 100+ channels, I am very happy with this TV.

    Value for Money

Great picture quality with good resolution (7000:1) and also capable of 1080P. Has options for movie mode or gaming mode depending on your needs. Sound is of surround sound quality also options for DOLBY. I have comcast digital and haven't even upgraded to HD yet the picture quality is great. I enjoy watching Monday night football on it. If you have HD quality signal and dont want ot spend too much money on a TV, then this is definitely a good choice. I did a lot of research and looked at a lot of TV's before i decided on this. Best buy also did a price comparison from other stores and knocked the price down by $150 for me.

    A great upgrade

If you are considering upgrading to an HDTV from SDTV this is probably your best bet. For the price, this television definitely provides the best picture in its category. If you don't believe me, just go compare it in the store. You will be sold instantly, as I was. The only complaint I have is; when the television is processing dark colors it seems to make a lot of buzzing noise. This is noticeable to me, because I am a very easily irritated by little things like this. However, my fiance thinks that I am crazy and doesn't notice a thing. So, overall I highly recommend this product.

    awesome tv for the price

This TV looks amazing with the xbox 360 hooked up to it when connected to the HDMI of course. It also is about 10x better than my "32 Magnavox TV. I do have a few problems with it however. My biggest complaint is the sound. It is to low for me I have to turn it up to the middle to enjoy crisp sound but I'm going to be hooking it up to my stereo system anyway so that will be fixed in a short time. The second problem I have is when connected to a PC it does not look as good as I hoped it would. This is probably because I have it so whatever it shows on my PC it shows on my TV if I change that it would probably look better. Those are my only two complaints with this TV. I got it on sale back in November for $799.99(normally $999.99 at the time). If you are looking for a new TV I'd get a Samsung if your low on cash but if you have the extra money I would go with a Sharp Aquos. which is the TV I was gonna get when it was on sale for $650 but didn't have the cash otherwise I would have bought it there and then. Also one more thing I would recommend getting Comcast HD or and HD service to experience the true value of this tv I have it on standard cable and it looks horrible its not bad but it could be better but those are my 2 cents I hope this helps anyone looking for an HDTV and remember in February next year everything is going digital. Another thing if you are buying this at any store get an EXTENDED WARRANTY regardless of price anything can happen to HDTV's and usually manufactures warranty doesn't cover everything so if you get at the store you should be covered and there is also peace of mind knowing that you don't have to worry about the TV breaking a few months later.

    Great TV

I bought this TV knowing that I was going to get HD within the year. I am still waiting to get the HD, but this TV still has a pretty decent picture on standard broadcasting. I feel it is important to have a good picture without HD, because many stations are still not broadcasted in HD. So keep that in mind when looking at TV's. Some have a very poor standard broadcasting picture. While I would highly recommend this TV if it is in your budget you may want to look at some of the 1080p TV's that seem to be dropping in price some.

    Great TV!

I have had this TV for about 4 weeks now and I have been enjoying it. I bought this from Best buy and the price dropped and they were great about adjusting it to match the current lower price. My first tv had 6 dead pixels but I was able to return it with no problems. I love that I can connect this to my PC, Wii, HD Antenna, and Blu Ray player all at the same time and I still have ports open, Samsung is the best! Free over the air TV with the HD antenna (sold Separately) works quite well and is surprisingly good quality.

I bought this TV about a month ago and it'd held up great. No dead pixels or ghosting, plus all the pros listed above. You can also change the screen format with the push of a button (ie from 16:9 to 4:3 etc). The menus are simply to navigate and its easy to set up on its base. Its also not too heavy, but its sturdy. Once you watch HDTV its hard to go back. Overall I am happy with my purchase and its a good buy, especially if you are like me and you don't trust the lesser known brands with such a big purchase.

    Great TV

This TV is wonderful. The picture quality is great, the sound is good. I read all the reviews and shopped around for a few weeks before deciding on this TV and I have been very well pleased. The only thing I have not been crazy about is while things look incredible in HD, I have not been able to get pictures that aren't either really small or large but stretched when watching a DVD. I think this is true of all HD tv's with the widescreen size though. Overall, I would recommend entirely.

The best part was the Best Buy price matching. Bought the TV 2 days ago and found it $60 less at a competitor today. NO problem! Picture quality is excellent once u find the proper settings. Speakers are adequate. Great for gaming and the best resource for a LCD 32" against other competitors. Nice integration with ComCast HDTV and there emote control. Definitely a price pleaser!

Greatest TV I bought, worth every penny, much better than other products I researched and compared. Has lots of features to set, display settings allow to change to 4:3, 16:9, zoom in, so you can always find the best way to view digital channels that are displayed in traditional 4:3 ratio. Sound is awesome too, for such small speakers, they sure can blast your ears at max. HD channels are the best and give great pleasure in watching all the details that we were missing.

    Completely Satisfied Purchase!

For the price, I'm incredibly happy with this LCD. The picture is bright, clear and sharp. The colors look beautiful and really accurate. No dullness or greyness to the picture whatsoever. In my opinion the only way you can get better is by buying a 1080p, but as far as 1080i's are concerned, this is a great buy. I use it as an HDTV, also for my XBOX 360 and sometimes as my computer monitor. All look fantastic. I highly recommend!

    Amazing LCD TV

I was in the market to replace a 27" CRT that was dying. Recently I purchased a 27" Olevia (garbage) that I use in my bedroom and this new Samsung blows away the image on it and my 42" LG plasma I have. I now watch movies on this 32" instead of my 42" plasma. If you are looking to save a few bucks with the "no name" brands dont waste your money. I made that mistake and will never do it again.

This tv has everything I wanted at a price I could live with. I have only had it for a month but thus far I have no complaints. The picture is OUTSTANDING! I use it as my computer monitor as well which just makes surfing the web, writing briefs, and everything else I do with my PC enjoyable. I waited to buy it when it was on sale for $799 and believe me that was a steal!

This is prob one of the best purchases I have made in a while. This TV has an OUTSTANDING picture! At first, I wondered what the difference was from one 720p to another. Then I saw a Samsung, and bought it right on the spot. Awesome features, but is lacking in the inputs. I needed just ONE MORE component input to compete my theater experience, but I worked it out.

I finally jumped on the HD bandwagon. Of course I'm going to say the picture quality is excellent because I have no basis for comparison. I can comment positively on the intuitive onscreen menus, non-glare screen surface, included universal remote, ample speaker volume, and attractive casing.

Great TV for gaming, HD DVDs not so much

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I love this TV, Samsung is my favorite brand when it comes to TVs because of its quality and style. This particular product is great for gaming, the 1080i resolution delivers an outstanding visual experience and it is also great for HD Cable/ satellite TV. However, the only reason I'm giving this TV 4 stars instead of 5 is because I came to find out that I will not be able to enjoy most of the HD DVDs I buy from now on as they are starting to come out in 1080p resolution (not supported by this TV). The alternative definition that come with the HD DVDs is 480i/480p standard def which is inferior to 1080i... So yes, I get high quality resolution when watching my HD movies but not to the TVs full potential. For its price, this was a great buy and I highly recommend it.
