I purchased this monitor to replace my non-OLED Samsung, and overall, it's a fantastic upgrade. The sleek design, vibrant colors, and excellent refresh rate truly stand out. However, I’m giving it four stars for the following reasons: When I brought it home and started setting it up, I realized it didn’t come with a remote. I had to use the buttons on the back and set up my phone to complete the startup. I contacted customer support, who advised me to visit the store where I purchased it. When I went, I was told there was nothing they could do. I even drove from Tacoma to Bellevue, where I picked it up, only to be told the same thing. I’m not sure how to proceed at this point, but this has been a frustrating experience.

Awesome display, its expensive but 32" is plenty big for my setup. It has a matte display which i love. My PC is in a room that i get alot of replections so for me matte was a must.

[Employee of bestbuy] I recently had to replace my 144hz 55" samsung ark monitor and wasn't too sure on what to replace it with. This was a much smaller screen than I was used to but i decided to pull the trigger. Boy was i glad i did. The image quality is absolutely amazing. My games feel WAY smoother and the colors are very vivid. The screen itself is thin and the stand is low profile and flat. The monitor even comes with better sounding speakers than my 55" monitor, and that thing was $2000+. Especially with the $300 gift card around the pre-order window, it's the perfect time to upgrade. The frame does feel a little delicate on the back, but it hasn't given me any issues. No screws were needed for anything, the stand just pops onto the back with a good clip and you're good to go.

Very good display quality and refresh rate for competitive titles, the software can just be annoying to use at times.

I cannot express just how disappointed I was to return this monitor. I came from an Asus Predator IPS panel, 27" and 4k120. Unfortunately, a few things work against this G8 as being a viable monitor for me. But, let's start with the pros: - It is nice and thin. It weighs less than my 27" monitor did. - The 240Hz refresh rate is butter smooth - Contrast is excellent - Gaming looks beautiful The cons far outweigh the pros if your use case is anything like mine – 40 hours a week WFH plus a couple hours a night of casual or competitive gaming: - The text clarity is the FOREMOST reason I returned this monitor. The subpixel arrangement for these OLEDs is conducive to color and contrast, but not text. On two platforms - Mac and PC - and every combination of settings under the sun, there was absolutely no way I could make the text acceptably sharp enough to look at. The purple/green fringing was definitely part of that, but the text just isn't sharp to begin with. Placing the monitor further away and increasing the text size doesn't help much, and frankly defeats the purpose of having a 32" monitor. I suspect some of this has to do with the pixel density being noticeably worse (138 PPI for this versus 163 on my 4k/27") due to the larger panel. - The interface/software is horrible and basically requires using the included remote to navigate well. Lots of features are locked out if you don't connect it to WiFi or sign in to SmartThings. Boo. - The brightness in SDR mode is lackluster. It's just not pleasant to look at for anything except gaming. - No easy way to switch between game mode and graphic mode. Several menu layers/button clicks to do it. - HDR mode looks horrible no matter the combination of settings I used. Completely washed out. - Weird power on/off behavior, coupled with poor software, makes this display act unpredictably. - No matter what I did to turn off power saving, automatic contrast/brightness, etc., I always got the impression the monitor was modulating brightness in different areas of the screen, making certain white-dominant screens/windows look brighter than others. - Only a single DP connection. There should really be two. - No USB-C This monitor should really be $600-800 at the most, and not $1,300+ after tax. I thought I had held out long enough for tech to catch up to my desires, but I was unfortunately mistaken. In anything 32" or up, I'm going to hold out for a 6K/8K monitor that is capable of 120Hz+, knowing that I won't be able to game above 4K but that my text will at least be sharp enough not to give me a headache.

I got monitor in August of 2024 and you are absolutely correct, the picture is great …. EXCEPT, I wanted a monitor, not a TV. Over my time owning the G8 I’ve found switching ports to be a hassle, having to use the remote, go back to the streaming section of the monitor, scrolling down to the devices menu, scrolling over to the input section, selecting the port … and maybe it switches. And now with their new updates, I get streaming and AI ad’s when using it as a monitor … I just want a monitor. The picture quality is excellent and I’ve go no problem with the anti-glare but both my wife and I have one of these of our setup and we both have the same issues. Sometimes it will wake up and the ports will come up and other times you have to unplug and plug back in the HDMI or use the remote to switch ports … etc. It’s been such a hassle that we both got fed up with it and I just purchased two LG 32” OLED monitors, that are just monitors and they work fantastic, look just as good, and I don’t get ad’s popping up on my screen. If you want a streaming TV that can act as a monitor sometimes, this may be for you but if you want a solid monitor and happens to have built-in streaming functionality you may get frustrated like me. I assumed that I could ignore the Smart TV side of it but they won’t let you. Sorry to say but I think Samsung has gotten greedy.

Great picture quality. True 4k gaming. Every game looks amazing on this monitor using my RTX 4090. Once I'm done gaming, I usually use the smart hub to watch a movie or a show and the picture looks amazing. It also has built in speakers. To be honest the speakers are a bit on the lower side, so if you're like me and love to blast music from the smart hub on your Samsung devices I'd suggest getting a sound bar as well.

I love this monitor beautiful picture, awesome colors and plenty bright enough. The only reason I docked it a star is because of the firmware suite, its very TV like and sends pop ups to your computer screen you can't clear without the remote... There is a download thats suppose to enable you to use the mouse but Ive yet to be able to getr it to install properly. Incredible picture though great gaming monitor. Took quite sometime to set up also, have to join samsungs product site... I like something a little more plug and play.

I hate this monitor's interface so much. The "SMART" part of this monitor is the problem. Its actual performance is very good. Its screen is clear, though I don't think it's quite worth the price. However, it constantly finds ways to make itself annoying. I will be in the middle of a game when I get a pop-up message on it saying that it wants to run a Screen-Optimization process. That process will take about ten minutes to run. It'll put up a 60-second timer, and if I don't find the remote and disable that during that time, it'll just go ahead with the process. I'm cool with that if you do that when I'm not using the monitor, but while I'm in the middle of a game? I can't find a way to disable that or change its settings. I bought this monitor ONLY to be a monitor, not to be a media service. But by default it very much wants you to be in the samsung ecosystem. You can find a buried setting somewhere that allows it to stay on the last thing it was connected to (i.e., my pc), however I frequently find it losing its connection to my pc and the only way I can get it to reconnect is by rebooting my pc. Then it goes back to its Home page, with all of its media content I don't want. I haven't had this issue with any other monitor, ever. As another personal gripe, which I doubt would affect many people, I also have a samsung tv in this same room, and for whatever ridiculous reason, shutting off the TV with the TV remote ALSO shuts off my monitor, which is super pleasant when my daughter shuts off the tv and my monitor goes off in the middle of my game. If I could just disable all of the SMART crap, the monitor itself is great. But it annoys me to no end that I don't have full control over the THING I PURCHASED. I want it to be plugged into my computer, function as a monitor, and stop reminding me of all of the other things it can do that I don't need. I want it to stop deciding it needs to optimize itself in the middle of my games. I just want it to do the thing I bought it for, and it's frustrating at how obtusely it is designed. It's a pretty screen, but it's not worth the cost.

Bright colors, high refresh rates, and oled blacks were a massive improvement over my previous 4k monitor.

monitor, and the tv with great resolution and colors, 244 hz is top option and it has speakers integraed and they are awesome for gaming, tv or just music. this is not 3 in one, 5 in one, this is ALL IN ONE !!!

I really like the physical design of this monitor. It is sleek and has a small footprint. The display itself is crisp and beautiful. But that's really where the praise stops. The built-in Samsung Smart TV apps are intrusive, not necessary, and actively make the monitor harder to use...as a monitor. The built-in speakers also emitted a high-pitched whine when not in use. Just mute it, right? Wrong. Muting causes a big mute icon to bounce around your screen in random places (to avoid burn-in) and never goes away. A clear anti-feature. I know some like the matte finish, but all my lighting is upward facing, so I don't ever deal with display glare and really can't say as the matte finish made any discernable difference for me. Also, tuning the color calibration was extremely difficult due to the awful OSD menus and general cumbersome need to use a remote to navigate everything. The updated 2025 model removes the Smart TV functionality entirely. Go with that one instead.

Monitor looks premium and very beatufiul. Picture quality is fantastic and I love that it doubles as a smart TV. I dont need to turn on my pc to watch Netflix or Youtube. Hoping that these next gen OLED will be more averse to burn-in, I'm using it for media consumption and playing console and pc games.

This is an excellent monitor for nearly any use case. I game with this monitor at 4k/ultra settings with multiple modern games and it performs incredibly. I did not initially use the cable provided with the monitor and had some artifacting issues at the bottom of the screen, once I changed the cable those were resolved. It does take a few minutes on setup to get through all the menus prior to being able to use, but not overly laborious. Highly recommended!

Samsung Odyssey: blazing fast and crystal clear!!!

Right speaker is defective and DOA, samsung support won't replace the monitor because I'm beyond their 14 day return period. Should have bought it through Best Buy. The monitor is stunning, beautiful, and otherwise perfect - but Samsung does not have your back and after 2 hours on the phone with support and a promise from a tech support supervisor to replace it with a brand new unit, he secretly cold transferred me despite promises otherwise, and they're not honoring the commitment. So overall, it may be amazing, but avoid it at all costs due to the company backing it, making it, and supporting it.

Bought this for the oled screen and it doesn’t disappoint. The picture quality is extremely crisp would definitely recommend.

I got an open-box with excellent condition. It is brand new works great. The only thing that it did not come with was the plastic on the screen but that’s okay. OLED display looks amazing compared to my 1440p asus monitor.
