We recently remodeled our kitchen and selected this model due to high ratings from Consumer Reports and Best Buy.com. It has met and exceeded all our expectations. Sleek look (blue LED very cool), flawless ignition, power burner delivers high heat, simmer burners are true simmer, overall nice selection of heats from very low to super hot, super easy to clean up. Couldn’t ask for more.

I recently installed the Samsung 36" Built-In Gas Cooktop in my kitchen, and overall, it’s been a great addition. The cooktop has a sleek, modern design, and the black stainless steel finish complements other appliances beautifully. The dual power brass burner offers excellent power, making it easy to quickly heat large pots or delicately simmer sauces. WiFi connectivity is a surprising feature for a cooktop, but it allows for remote monitoring, adding peace of mind when multitasking around the kitchen. Performance-wise, the burners are responsive, and the continuous grates provide stable support for pots and pans. The controls are intuitive, and the overall experience has been satisfying. However, I have encountered some issues. Within the first six months, I noticed the color on the control panel began to fade, detracting from its visual appeal. Despite purchasing 5 year extended warranty, Samsung and Geeks squad customer service advised that cosmetic damages like fading are not covered. This limitation in warranty coverage, especially for a product in this price range, makes it a bit of a questionable purchase. If you value style and powerful functionality, the cooktop will likely meet your expectations, but keep warranty limitations in mind, especially concerning cosmetic durability.

This cooktop has great power. The large center burner has the capacity of 22,000 BTU. Other burners also have decent cooking power. It cooks food fast and tasty. It also comes with a wok crate which is extremely useful for Chinese food cooking with a wok. I connected it to the Internet and can tell which burner is in use. It is a useful feature in case I forget whether the burner has been turned off or not. I have not tried the blue tooth function with this cooktop yet as I do not have a matching Samsung range hood to work with the cook top. I took one start off because the stainless steel is easily get scratched even I use paper towels. Otherwise, it will be a perfect cooktop.

Produces solid heat. Make sure that it lights with the pilot on “lite” and then adjust the heat level. Nice looking as well with the main brass burner. Not difficult to clean although somewhat confusing to reassemble after cleaning. Big issue is that we can barely fit two good sized pots on either side where there are double burners. The designers could have built this cooktop with more surface area for pots. Also, the middle, main burner is very large for boiling big pots, front right burner is medium sized, the other 3 burners are small. It could use another medium sized burner.

we have our new cooktop for about a week now. I can definitely say the distribution of the fire is very impressive. However, the Smarthing only shows which cooktop is on/off. I haven't figured out what it is capable of. I look forward doing more cooking with our new cooktop. I was able to connect to wifi but wasn't able to connect to bluetooth so I need to figure that out.

Very happy with this purchase. Center burner so strong and it boils up a large pot of water very quick. Simmer burner in the far back works nicely for small sauce pan and it keeps foods evenly warm. Haven't used the pancake grill yet so I need more time to experience. Two burners on the left side are great for everyday uses. This is my very first time buying the Samsung as most my home appliances are LG Bosch KitchenAid and Whirlpool but so far it works great and I am looking forward to investing more time to learn and enjoy the cooktop. I am looking at a gas washer/dryer set from Samsung for the near future.

The cooktop is amazing! The center burner gets hot so quickly! When you need low long term flames, the side burners are great. Love the blue color while burner is in use! This helps to know that gas is flowing. No worries about leaving a burner on. The griddle makes pancakes and bacon a breeze on Sunday Mornings! No extra appliances needed.

Look and heats up heats up amazing! Why the 4-stars you ask??? Well it’s not very functional. The gills are big and tough and there are 5 of them, but realistically you can only use 3 at a time. The two outer burners are too close to each other and two small pots side by side barely fit. Forget having a skillet and anything else next to it. Wish I had noticed that before buying, might be reviewing a different stove right now. When you are using, it heats up amazing, so 4-stars.

We absolutely love our Samsung cooktop. It was easy to install. We were worried the wifi piece that goes in the back would not fit but it did like a glove !

LOVE IT. Evenly cooks meals and have had zero issues with it.

I would say not recommended. The knob easy to broken. The surface is super good quality but the part which connected the stove is plastic. After i used 2 years later 5 of them are broken and can not used anymore . The only way is purchase them on Samsung.com . But it costs about $198 each . The stove is Good but the replacement so expensive.

Going dark and easy to clean and cooking is made easy with the different temp burners.

It is a very poor quality product. I was only 4 months old I put a pot of water to boil and splash the water on the front and wash again the stainless steel not recommended. I called Samsung and his response that was caused by me and as it is aesthetic it does not cover

The grates started to change color after the first week of its use. I dont think its a normal discoloration. Seems low quality. If this is how it looks after 3-5 times of usage I dont want to see it after 6 months. Will The grates turn all metal and black disappears!? Samsung should investigate if this a defect or is this happening across the board?

Good cooktop that puts out great heat and looks nice. The wok burner is awesome. I like that it comes with wok ring and the griddle. The knob stems that hold the knobs to the burner, however, are made of cheap plastic that break from just turning the knob (normal use). There is alternative from Samsung for knobs that will actually last.

Love this cooktop so much I bought another one for my second home. However, black is not the easiest to keep clean, although it looks very modern. The make of the cooktop is high end and operation is good. The center 22,000 BTU burner is very attractive to me, with a wok stand. This range also comes with a separate grill board to be put on top of 2 burners for grilling, although it was not advertised. This is a plus!

I love this cooktop. It made our short list after reading consumer reports and other positive reviews. We checked it out in the store and really loved the quality feel, as well as the aesthetics. The way the knobs turned just felt right - as good or better than cooktops costing 2-3x more. Well, we finally installed it last weekend (delivery was excellent and fast, but it sat in the garage until I had time to install) and I've been using it for a week and I love it. The center power burner is incredibly powerful - boils water in my 20qt stock pot without a problem, gets our wok searing hot and has the precision to be turned low for gently simmering items. The other burners are also precise, yet powerful for their respective size. I have not used the griddle yet. The whole stove cleans up relatively easily. I have not put the grates in the dishwasher yet, though they are supposed to be dishwasher safe. This may be true, but they wipe off pretty easily too, and are kinda bulky for my dishwasher. Overall, I strongly recommend this cooktop.

Matted to a Samsung 36" Hood. Pros: Very good looking. Very nice griddle and grate system. Burners are very powerful, the 2-Stage center burner is nice, Knobs and materials feel like good quality. Cons: Installation is a bit tricky due to the Bluetooth antenna.
