It is simple and easy to hook up right out of the box. The buttons are soft to tough, the machine itself is quiet and fast. Washing our clothes has never been so easy. Even our 10 year old does laundry with ease. Thank you Samsung for making a great washing machine. I highly recommend.

You can't really control the washer from the SmartThings app, you can't control the washer from outside your home network. With it being front loading, and stackable, the placement of the drain could have been better. So far I've had no issues with actually washing clothes so it seems to do the one thing its made for well... however its new so appliances working well when brand new SHOULD be the norm. You have to power down the machine to do anything, can't really wash a small load, and need to be mindful of the area surrounding the door - its obvious it will collect socks and other small clothing.

There have been a couple of minor issues. I've found that if there is only one small item in the washer, sometimes the spin cycle will not start and the countdown to the end of the wash cycle will stay hung at 5 or 6 minutes until you cancel the cycle/turn off the washer. Also, I've noticed that many times there will be an area under the door that is damp after the wash cycle has completed, so it seems like the door seal doesn't work as well as it should or maybe there is a problem with ours.

I spent weeks researching all sorts of washers and dryers. I paid for my very old washer to be fixed (wasted effort) and then I pulled the trigger. Best. Decision. Ever. I could not be happier. The washer is quick, quiet and efficient. I love it.

Guests share 2 sets of washer/drying machines along with housekeeping so these need to be durable. This samsung machine is running constantly during busy season when we might host 30+ people at a time. The speed cycle is great and really cleans well! We've had zero issues with this machine, no complaints, guest confusion on usage, etc. Highly recommended!

Naturally we looked for its successor model & happened to find it on a Black Friday sale the same day the old one failed. To date has performed well, no problems so far. Would recommend this washer for you if you do household frequency of washes.
