We love the TV. It's Easy to use. It had great pictures quality. And perfect size.

Warning: My review might be influenced by the fact that we went 6 months without a TV. Having said that, this is truly a great TV. The 40" screen may seem small to some, but it is the perfect size for the space we have and it doesn't take over the room. The picture quality is beautiful, clear, with excellent color. I like Samsung because the picture is brighter than a Sony. As I age, my eyes especially appreciate this. The controls and adjustments are simple to use and do not require reading the manual which I always appreciate. Input, output, and usb ports make it easy to plug in multiple devices; lightweight, easily moved if needed. My only criticism would be that I have to turn the sound up pretty high for some stations, but we use an aerial antenna, so that might account for the inconsistency. After a month, we are thoroughly enjoying this TV.

The picture and range of features on this set are very competitive with the best sets currently on the market. The new operating system from Samsung seems to work well. We use the web browser to stream a variety of videos, Other than a little lag when loading, and a little getting used to the directional arrows on the remote to drive the cursor, its like watching videos on a computer.

This is not a 4K set and that was not required in the 40" size. Has a 120Mhz scan rate and the picture is fantastic whether on Antenna or streamed wireless from the router. After keying in the 64 character password I noticed the set has a WPS capability which would have made accessing the network much faster. The set is SMART with a quad processor and it is fast no matter what you do on screen or with a wireless keyboard. If you want a SMART set with smooth and rapid response to queries or simply use the browser, there are no speed issues. This set is definitely worth the additional money to avoid picture and SMART speed issues with lower end units.

I already have a 48" Samsung and we love it. For a family room we rebuilt we wanted a smaller screen size, 48" was too large for the room. But most 40" have somewhat scant inputs. I searched a while for this one. As a matter of fact when I told the Best Buy guy that I wanted the 40" with the 4 HDMIs and 3 USBs that I saw on the BB website he thought I was 'pulling his leg'. This model is made just for Best Buy and if you need a smaller screen then I would look no further than this one. I took it out of the box, put the stand on it and was watching Netflix within a few minutes. I don't have it hooked up to a cable box (meaning I don't want to pay any more that I already do.) so we just watch stuff on wireless like Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc. We put a Bluray player on it and all is good. Really, there is so much great stuff to watch I probably won't hook it to the cable. This is an excellent product.

So far I've been very impressed with this set. The picture once tuned to remove the soap opera effect is excellent. I was originally unhappy with the sound but found that setting it on Cinema helped tremendously. The included apps are great. The only downside is that they appear immediately upon turning on the TV, but can't be launched for 15-30 seconds while the TV boots up. The remote is solidly built but is not back lit.

This TV has a great image quality and the smart features are handy for being able to watch Netflix and Hulu. The apps for each are much better than the last smart TV we purchased, more intuitive and items don't have to be in your queue already.

Love this tv for our space between 2 rooms. Not too large, taking up too much room. Perfect picture for our living room/dining room area, and not overwhelmingly large! Very Sharp picture! This was recommended over a Black Friday cheap sale tv. I am glad I went with the better picture!

Great picture quality and all that you would expect for a TV of this price. Only downfall is there's a software fault that sees an error message 'Preparing the TV...please try again later' everytime you open SmartHub straight after turning the TV on. Typically it takes about 1-2 minutes before it will work, which is a little frustrating. Got on the phone to Samsung and they couldn't fix it nor acknowledge it as a fault even though after doing a little research EVERYONE has this issue with this particular model. I returned the TV and replaced it with a new one hoping it may have just been specific to my TV but I still have the same issue with the new one straight out the box, must be a defect with this model, BEWARE. Hopefully a future software update fixes it. Otherwise, great TV.

Bought Samsung 'smart tv' for my place, turning out to be a perfect size and fit. Easy to figure out features and menus, useful remote buttons, good display in rather unusual changing light conditions, and crisp clear display and good sound.

My first Smart TV and have not had the chance to explore all the features yet, but have streamed movies from Amazon Prime. The picture quality is excellent and was fairly easy to install with my surround sound system. Am very pleased with this purchase.

This is my first HD/flatscreen purchase which I bought with watching football as my primary motivation. Easy to set up, connect to wireless, Netflix, Amazon, etc. Very fine picture and sound quality. Easy to use.

Excellent picture, good sound. Needed something to fit into my entertainment center, and Samsung did a great job of giving a 40" picture with minimal border so it fits perfect! Easy to set up. Best Buy staff were helpful, especially when I had to return the first TV because it was 1/2 inch too wide. :(

This television we bought to be placed on a wall mount in our bedroom. First I need to let you know every TV we buy gets lighter ! This set only weighs like 15 lbs! Great picture quality, we have directv, so great signal helps. Pretty awesome set !

I bought this TV to hang on the wall in the bathroom. Beautiful colors, great display. I chose this over the lower models because you get the SMART TV, a quad core processor, and better for colors for not very much more at all. Great image.

Great little TV for the bedroom, great color, very quick internet access when controlling the apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc) much faster than going through blu-ray or gaming systems on my other TV's. Sound is decent without additional sound bar. Remote needs help - it's good size but hard to distinguish buttons in the dark, buttons do light up but only stay lit for a few seconds, not long enough to find a not often used button - not a deal breaker but would have been 5 stars if there was a better remote.

We bought this TV to use at our beach condo overseas. It is reasonably priced, great picture, sound and a good size for a small apartment. It also has enough hdmi connections and it is a smart TV. It would be great if adding apps was easieror had more basic movie apps pre-installed.

wanted to upgrade the bedroom tv. without the "borders" I am able to fit a larger tv in the same space as my old tv. this unit used as much space as my old 32" unit. tv turns on very quickly and picture quality is great. connected to my home wifi in seconds and have no complaints!

Great picture and the processor for the SMART TV functions is pretty fast as well. Easy to set up. Only quirk was it took a while to update all the apps at first. Everything started working after a couple of days though.
