So yes i probably would be pleased with most new TV's but i wanted to be awed and for the most part i am awed. I watched White Christmas on it a week ago. White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie. I've seen it at least 30 times. I never noticed how colorful it really is until i saw it on this UHD TV. WOW! Now i want to see all my old favorite movies for the first time in vivid color. The depth of the image took a while to get used to. Sound of TV is pretty good. You might want to try TV AS IS before buying a soundbar. It took me a week to discover that my soundbar had not been turned on when installed. I LOVE IT,
