Samsung 40” had great picture and so-so sound until connected to surround sound receiver to improve the later. Then, as the included pictures show, the Edge Backlit failed during 5th year- too soon in my opinion. Seeing 1/4 of the screen black taught me to avoid models with Edge Backlit and go for Direct Backlit. First picture shows how tall the 65” about to buy will be and it will be the full width of the entertainment center. Couldn’t resist the 65” getting a deal on Black Friday at Best Buy and how much less expensive large TVs are 5 years later. Will have to move the sofa back a 2-3 feet to be able to take in that whole screen. In general, have found a Samsung brand to be high quality so disappointed Edge Backlit failed in 5th year.

I’m so disappointed. There are ads on this tv’s menu bar. Steps can be taken to minimize them. But they cannot be removed altogether.

I bought the TV for my She Shed. It is a perfect size, it has a beautiful picture, color and features. The TV was easy to program. Great buy!

This is a beautiful screen with a beautiful picture. Very easy to use to make choices in settings. I was happy to find this Smart TV 4K with this size screen. Usually you could only find this in a larger screen. The price was excellent for the quality and as always Best Buy employees were very helpful showing me the selection I requested and loading it in my car the best way to protect it during my drive home.

Really easy to set up. Have my Switch and PS4 hooked up to it and they run smoothly on the TV. The free internet streaming TV channels that it comes with are also a plus. Crisp smooth pictures whether I'm watching the streaming channels or playing video games. It's also pretty neat how I can use my Samsung phone as a remote with the Smarthings app. Overall I'm extremely satisifed with my purchase

I wanted a LARGE computer monitor for my tired eyes so this was a win/win for me. You literally plug it in, do about a 4 minute setup on the remote and you have immediate stuff to watch whether you have cable or not! I plugged my Apple TV into it to display my small 13” MacBook Pro screen on it and it worked seamlessly. So I now have shows to watch when I need to take a break from work! Beautiful TV - no issues what so ever. You need to handle these TVs correctly when transporting them from car to home or they will break! NOT just Samsung ...ANY LED TV. Be gentle with the box and make sure you transport it in the Standing position in the car . IMPORTANT: Before you just pull it out of the box, take a minute to prepare a large flat clean soft area (like a nicely made bed) because you will need to lay it screenside DOWN on the surface to screw on the legs. It is not heavy at all so no worries there. Just don’t be a goofy clutz and grab the front of the tv with you fingers pressing on the screen or odds are you probably will turn on a busted right out of the box TV like I have read in some other reviews. Avoid touching the screens on ANY LED TV when lifting, moving etc... I waited for awhile to write this review to make sure nothing started to clunk out on me. It’s been about a month and I have had no issues at all! Very happy with this purchase.

Our other tv literally shut off one day and wouldn’t come back on. We decided to just go look around Best Buy get the best prices and found this tv to be the best deal for us. It’s great for movies, listening to music and of course video games. It was easy to set up and even if we lose the remote the app on our phones can turn it back on. It’s an awesome tv easy to use and the perfect size.

I purchased this tv for the bedroom and mounted it on the wall. The set up was so easy. The picture is super! it does not have bluetooth. The majority of apps I use are pre installed. I would def recommend this samsung to anyone for the price.

Bought this for my bedroom 40inch Samsung perfect size and you can’t beat the picture quality and the price of $229 for a name brand ultra high def 4K tv.thinkng about buying another one for the garage.

I purchased this particular monitor to replace a very big and cumbersome flat tube and I couldn't be happier! I have had a long history of purchasing Samsung monitors for all of my computing, and also, now my video entertainment needs. The picture is sharp and colorful out of the box with nice deep blacks and all other colors appearing sharp and crisp. Easy to set up and put together and had all the inputs I needed for my connected equipment- including an old VCR, an HDMI direct tv box, and also an HDMI Blu-ray player. All sources for all inputs work just fine. I also purchased a USB Keyboard to make accessing the internet a lot easier when typing in various search boxes which is just awesome!! One thing I will also say is that this 40-inch LOOKS a lot bigger than what its measurement says it is... so a very good thing!! Samsung is my main brand and has come through once more with a great piece of electronics!!

Super clear 4k resolution on a 40 inch TV. Easy to set up and connect to my wifi and xbox one x. Priced very reasonably under $230.

Love it. Bought it for number of pixels, smart TV, ease of use, size. Not disappointed one bit. It’s just great!

I love my 40" Samsung. I live in a small place and I simply can't have an overwhelmingly large TV, as I'm not TV crazy. But I wanted a 4k TV because, well, you know 4K is the here. This 40 inch TV fits nicely in my 180 square foot living room without taking over the room. I don't use the built-in Smart TV features. Instead, I primarily use this with over-the-air TV and my Apple TV. The only reason it loses a star is the remote control - its buttons can stick down. It's an annoyance. Samsung should fix it.

These Samsung TV's keep getting better and better. I've bought several over the years and they just keep improving. the smart tv interface is drastically improved over a few years back. 4k picture is bright and vibrant. Can't wait to watch more 4k movies on this thing!

This TV is our first Smart TV and it has a great quality picture. We were a little confused about setting it up but both Best Buy Associate and Samsung Company eagerly walked us through the steps. It was on sale at a great price! NIce big picture ....Almost like being at the movies!

Had to replace a Vizio TV that was damaged by a lightning strike. Not only did I get a larger screen TV, but one that's got a clearer picture and more Smart TV options. Very pleased with the quality and price.

I like that this TV is very light and yet has enough capacity to stream UHD movies and shows. The default picture quality is on the pale bright side, but once the picture parameters are adjusted, it looks more UHD. Optimized sound is also very good. Value for money!

I would recommend this product for people like me who are not interested in a large TV. Clear picture, great sound, and easy to set up! This was a smart purchase on my part. I am more thn satisfied.

We’ve now had this TV for almost a month and we love it. Clear crisp picture, good sound quality, easy setup and lots of Apps unlike our other LG’s that are cheaper and quite limited in their Apps.
