It connects to the internet a lot quicker and the apps are ready to use almost immediately. I really enjoy the addition of Samsung TV plus, they give us things to watch when we don't get good air tv signal. The only downside is that sometimes an app will stop working for no apparent reason. Comes back within a couple days and it only happens rarely
