The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is by far the most impressive monitor I’ve ever used. The 49" dual-QHD curved display creates an immersive experience that truly feels like having two high-resolution monitors seamlessly fused together. The OLED panel delivers stunning contrast, deep blacks, and vibrant colors that make both gaming and productivity a joy. Performance is exceptional. The 240Hz refresh rate combined with FreeSync Premium Pro and G-Sync compatibility ensures buttery-smooth gameplay with virtually no screen tearing or stutter. Even in fast-paced titles, motion clarity is second to none. The glare-free coating is also a standout feature, allowing comfortable use in various lighting conditions without compromising image quality. From a design standpoint, the silver finish looks sleek and premium, and the build quality feels sturdy and well-crafted. Smart features add extra convenience, and the onboard settings are intuitive to navigate. While it is a premium investment, the Odyssey OLED G9 justifies its price by delivering top-tier visuals and performance that set a new standard for ultra-wide monitors. Whether you are a competitive gamer, a multitasker, or simply someone who values the best possible viewing experience, this monitor will exceed expectations.

This monitor has an amazing display and very easy to use. I was very surprised to find out that it is a smart monitor and has the ability to split the screen between outputs. I frequently use my PlayStation and Computer so it’s nice to be able to see both the outputs at the same time

Monitor is great overall. Bought a 49" G9 1000R a few years ago and loved it. Needed a 2nd desktop - thought this would be the same (old one discontinued). Screen is wonderful - only surprise was that the curvature of the screen is nearly 1/2 of my other G9. Read later that they make them with both a 1000 and 1800mm radius. This one does not clearly make that distinction in the description. Doesn't bother me enough to return it, but buyers should be aware

Doubles as a smart TV with inbuilt Alexa voice. I love this thing. I run all my games windowed now and it replaced 2x 27" + 34" ultrawide 4k. Be sure to use the right cable... i recommend a good quality DP cable over the HDMI cable, and make sure you set your GPU settings right. I had to toggle a few g-sync options to fix some signal loss issues.

The Picture quality is amazing, But the Power saving Features get on my nerves and then the Screen optimization is most ridiculous thing I have ever seen on a monitor. After Using the Monitor for a while, it will have a message that comes up to do screen optimization. You have 60 seconds to cancel it. If you miss that time window, then the monitor will turn off for 10 minutes. You cant turn it back on. I dont know why it wont choose to do it when it is in sleep mode or some other time i am not actively using it. There are no settings for this. You have no control. and if you are past the standard 15 day window on returning with Best Buy then you are screwed. What happened to the days when you had 30 - 45 days to return with Best buy. Oh I know, Greed. They want you to pay extra on top of the thousands that we already spend with them. Both Samsung AND BestBuy really suck on this purchase. Stay away from this monitor and probably even Best Buy if you think you might have to return anything.

For a $1,200 monitor, this is incredibly disappointing. The Bluetooth headphone connection is extremely frustrating. Even after my headphones are already paired and connected, I have to repeatedly tell the monitor to use them again. It happens after every Netflix episode and whenever I switch in and out of the apps built into the monitor. At this price point, Bluetooth should simply connect and stay connected. I should not have to keep going back into the settings just to get my headphones working again. It’s a small issue on paper, but when it happens constantly, it becomes incredibly annoying and takes away from what is supposed to be a premium monitor. I really wish I had known about this before spending $1,200. For this price, I expected a much more polished and reliable experience.

For games that do not support 32:9 you will encounter graphical glitches and or VRR flicker. (although this was mainly present for me using HDMI 2.1) .... which coincidentally is not "gsync compatible".....so make sure you're running Display port if you want that feature .... don't bother setting color to 12 bit either as this monitor only supports 10bit so you're just sending extra data that is discarded...
