That's what it felt like moving from a 32" to here. I've been looking for a quality television to upgrade to and decided upon this Samsung 50" model. It's also my first Smart television as well. That may be daunting to some, but the set-up was easy as can be. In fact, I didn't even connect it to my internet connection for the first few weeks because I had no real need to. But when I did, it was just as simple as initial set-up and can connect through the wired Ethernet port or through your wireless router.

We have one main TV in our house that is used as a computer monitor. All of our media is streamed. I bought this TV during a Black Friday deal, and paid $300. At that price, I have very little to complain about. The picture is very crisp and clear. The built in sound is quite decent also. If I were to point out a few things, I would make sure anyone in my situation realizes that this unit does not have VGA or DVI inputs. If you read the specs, you'll know that. More PCs are coming with HDMI outputs now, which is how I have it connected. Just one cable for picture and sound, so it works great. I can't figure out if the parental controls are just weak, or if I have not figured out how to use them. Maybe that is not an issue for some, but I do wish I could lock this down to be just a monitor. I will say that there is a contour on the back that caused my "universal" wall mount not to fit. I am not sure if I would consider that a flaw with the TV or the mount. In any case, it was easily fixed by cutting less than two inches off of the mounting brackets, although I am sure some folks would be uneasy about doing that. This TV is really lightweight. That makes it easy to handle, and made me comfortable going with a little less expensive mount. That's always a plus. Of course, one major concern with any purchase like this is longevity. I have only been using it about two weeks, but I am very pleased with the purchase so far.

I know televisions get better and better each year but this is a good television. Quality is good. Smart tv compatibility is excellent.

Black Friday tv. I read reviews and was iffy, so I actually went for a Sharp, but it was sold out. We decided to get this, because the price was still great and we had until January to return it. No need. It's been awesome for my needs. I only wanted a smart tv for my bedroom so I could watch Hulu, Netflix and HBO Go without the Apple TV or bluray player hassle of switching modes every time and having different remotes. All I do is switch it on, press smart hub and choose which app I want. Once, it was very slow to load the apps, saying "preparing tv" but that might be my internet or wifi, I don't know. The sound is great, and I have a pretty big bedroom. That was what worried me, but no problems there. The resolution Is fine, clear, no blurs or anything that I've noticed. I don't care about hd programming, though. I just like a good picture. We couldn't find the power button on the tv until we looked through the manual. It's hidden back and underneath, so at first I was worried we'd have a useless tv if the remote was lost, but we found it! And it pops up the choices to change on the bottom right of the screen, like a computer. I'm glad I got the tv. Great price for a, so far, good quality 50" tv for regular programming. It's my first Samsung.

The picture and sound quality and ease of use on this TV are excellent. I love the Smart TV functions as I now have all the cable stations as well as the option of viewing Netflix, Hulu, Youtube etc. all with the same remote and no other hookups. When a saw it on sale, I couldn't resist!

The Samsung 50 inch was so easy to set up to the Internet. The sports mode gives a great clear picture and you do truly hear all the noise from the field or court. Light weight tv so easy to move about and place where you need it. Recommend to anyone wanting the Smart TV experience.

Easy to set up. Slightly confusing on installing the leg stands (instructions and parts were not explicit) but I was able to get it done eventually. Picture quality is good for a bedroom (remember the great price). Would have preferred another HMDI input but won't be connecting multiple external devices in the bedroom.

This is my first smart tv, love the size, and easy to use. I am looking into getting the wireless keyboard to go with the tv. There are a good amount of apps, but a lot of them are ones that I wouldnt use. There others that I have used on other Samsung Smart TVs that are not on this one, such as NBC Sports.

This was purchased a a gift for my daughter and she absolutely loves it, Smart TV, 50" LED, great sound easy setup. Perfect set for her living room. We even returned a different set we had already purchased to get this one instead. Would definitely buy again.

We bought this on Black Friday to replace and older 720P LCD. What a difference. Better picture, tons of apps built in and easy set up. The web browser is a great feature but is slow and cumbersome but beyond that a great TV. Installed Samsung Smart TV App on my Tablet and it works great.

Pretty much summed it up in the summary. The picture is good, not great. The TV as a whole looks awesome, and weighs practically nothing. If it was 120mhz refresh rate as originally advertised in the TV details summary I'd have 0 complaints, and this would be a 5 out of 5.

Bought this TV for the rec room. I've had several HD TVs in the past so I have a general expectation and this one has met them all. Easy setup, connected to wifi within minutes, perfect picture for video games (Xbox one) and movies (blu ray). Only raised an eyebrow on the support leg/feet installation, the screws they provided in box did not fit the holes in the back of the TV so I had to rig with some extra screws I had laying around in the garage. And the cable TV auxiliary connector on the back panel is installed so close/flush to the back of the TV surface that I couldn't get the cable I have hooked up to it, I'll need to find a thinner connector cable that will slide on to the TV's coaxial port. Could pose a problem for someone using this strictly for TV (not me). Enjoy!

Looked at reviews online before I bought this. Honestly didn't have many reviews but I figured it's a samsung product and they seem to know what they are doing most of the time. It's my first tv purchase and it's going great so far, love most things about it. Love that it's a smart tv with YouTube, Amazon prime and Netflix already loaded. The pictures are very crisp and clear and works out great when watching HD content. I do wish that it had more HDMI ports as this one only has 2, I guess one could buy HDMI extensions. The speakers on the tv aren't so good so I got a Samsung sound bar and subwoofer from Best Buy as well. I like the sports mode on the tv, I watch a lot of sports so it just adds another dimension to it, you can also pause and zoom in on a particular area in sports mode which is cool. I'm definitely happy I got this for the Black Friday sale.

Not a techie so had doubts about setting this "smart" tv. However, easy guide directions and pleased to have required no assistance. Good picture, especially pleased with price. Good deal all around

Tv is ok. Good image and not heavy at all. I wish it would have a rotating base. Be aware that it only has two hdmi inputs, a usb input and an input for your antenna. Also the digital audio output. But if you have an older dvd or vcr, it doesn't have an analog input with the red, yellow and white inputs which makes you have to upgrade this electronics. One complain would be that online under the description it said that the motion rate was 120 and i even ask an employee if the tv i was looking at online was the same as this one they had in the store and he said yes. Once i got home i realized it was only 60 MR. When i filled a survey about my purchase i indicated that i wished to be contacted about this issue, but never heard from bestbuy.

I bought this tv during a pre-black Friday sale for My Best Buy program members. I purchased the tv for about 1/2 off. The only complaint about the purchase is that when I bought it Best Buy stated that this tv was 120 refresh rate tv but a couple of weeks later changed that to 60. No apology nor offer to make up for the mistake was or has been made. As for the tv, it was a gift for my daughter who just moved into a new apartment. The tv is the perfect size and hangs on the wall quite nicely as it is extremely light and thin. The picture is quite good all around, very vibrant. The only negatives are there are only 2 HDMI inputs and the plastic frame is a dust magnet!.

Television is just what I expected from Samsung. Tv was easy to get setup. The "Smart" TV has all the features of a smart TV. The picture is very good.

love love love it! We finally upgraded from the old samsung lcd model to this one. because we had such a good experience with our older samsung tv (which we still use btw) we decided to get this samsung tv. the resolution and colors are great and vibrant. The tv was easy to install and easy to learn how to operate the functions and use as well. I like that if I can't find anything on cable I can just go to netflix, youtube or connect my phone to it using the smart view option. comes with a download store where you can download a whole bunch of apps as well.
