Samsung sold out
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can't trust Samsung anymore.. this is the slowest, buggiest, most infuriating tv I have ever used. I literally miss my cheap Insignia tv after having bought this piece of crap. Every button takes several seconds to respond, the network speed is so slow, and the stupid UI is impossible to use! Why can't we just have imputs? Why can't I adjust the backlight levels? Why do I have to fumble thru a shoddy series of menus just to switch to my Xbox? Why does my Xbox turn itself on every time I turn my TV on? Why does it always turn on Samsung TV garbage as my most recent when I have never ever used that crap? Why is the volume so quiet then loud? I've never had these problems until I payed more for less with Samsung.

Running black spot
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After 2years in December 2025 a floating black spot appeared on screen running from top to bottom and the tv stopped working. A couple of days later, the tv started working again. At the end of January, the floating spot appeared again, and tv doesnt work. Probably the last Samsung I ever bought.

Samsung tv
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Probably the last Samsung tv I’ll ever buy. Advertising all over front screen with streaming in very small bottom left hand side. Volume is awful for streaming also. Volume has to be 90 to 100 to hear. Took back out of my family room and put in my garage. Don’t waste your money.

Posted .Hi Gipp,
I'm sorry to hear that the CU8000 TV did not live up to your expectations. Please know that your feedback will be shared with our internal teams.
There are several volume features you can adjust, which may improve your audio experience.
1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode
Also, some sources have their own volume control, which might need to be set higher. Please check the volume control of the external device (cable box or satellite box, DVD, Blu-ray, etc.) connected to your TV. Also, check the cable connection between an external device and the TV and then try the cable connection again.

Unhappy Customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely unhappy with this Samsung Smart TV. The Smart remote is not what I expected. I expected a remote with numbers. The ordinal remote to this TV is faceless. I’m returning this TV and hope Best Buy will accept it back without the original box.

Posted .Hi Santinoman,
We appreciate your feedback on the CU8000 TV remote. Please know that you can control the volume of your TV by pressing the +/- button up to increase the volume and down to decrease the volume. To mute the sound, press the button. You can learn how to use your Samsung Remote by going to Home> (left directional button) Settings> Support> Remote Control Guide.
Samsung remotes are designed to be convenient and useful, but we understand if you’d prefer to use a third-party remote, whether it’s a universal remote, a game controller, or something else! Whether you are replacing a lost remote or using an alternative remote to help reduce clutter, a third-party remote is a great option to use to control your Samsung TV.

An expensive mistake
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Constantly loses WI-Fi while nothing else in the house does. Posted .Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your experience with Internet connectivity. If you’re experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi connection, we suggest you try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.
You can enable automatic updates for convenience.
Go to Settings > Support > Software Update, then select Auto Update.
I hope these tips help you enjoy your new product.

Posted .Hi JoyceA,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the picture quality of your CU8000 TV, and are sorry to hear that you have not been able to contact any sales representatives. Please know you can contact Samsung Customer Support if you have any questions or issues.
Regarding your picture quality, I have a few recommendations that may improve your visual experience:
Go to Home > Settings > All Settings > Picture > Picture Mode and select the mode that best fits your usage:
1) Standard: Default mode suitable for general viewing environments.
2) Natural: Reduces eye strain for a comfortable viewing experience.
3) Movie: Most suitable for watching TV or movies in a dark room.
4) Dynamic: Makes the picture brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments.
5) Filmmaker Mode: You can watch the source content (e.g., movie) as it is. If the image is defined as Filmmaker Mode, it will automatically switch to Filmmaker Mode while watching.
You can also go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Expert Settings > to manually fine-tune your image.

Never trust Samsung again
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV went into an endless boot loop. The main board is gone. Just over 1 year old and out of warranty. I was just about to pull the trigger on a larger screen. Glad I did not. I am disappointed as I thought Samsung was a good brand but no longer do i trust giving the name another try.
