I bought this TV just a little over a year ago but didn’t set it up right away since I was moving and it’s already giving me problems with the display. It started off with the TV just randomly start having black spots and then it would restart itself not to long after that occurs. Sometimes it would restart only once and other times it would keep restarting that I have to unplug the TV from the outlet to make it stop. Now it’s to the point where it won’t show anything because the moment I turn it on it’s on a loop and restarts itself immediately. It has a good interface and it is easy to use but I wouldn’t recommend it given that I’m already having problems in just one year.

After 2 years, this Samsung 50" has started turning off and on. We googled and tried everything to reset. Nothing fixed this issue. There are No off and on or volume keys/buttons on this tv. Called samsung customer support and they said we may need to buy a new tv. Lol. Wow. Okay. 1st bad experience with Samsung TV AND TEC SUPPORT.

The good: the blacks on this TV are a big upgrade over my old Sony Bravia, but that’s where the positive ends.
This TV is stutters constantly, glitching at the least bit of fast motion. It’s distracting and maddening and makes me angry I trusted the reviews on Best Buy’s site.
Avoid this TV, it’s trash.

Brand response from Samsung

jjsurma,
I am very sorry about your disappointment with the motion images of your Q60T QLED 4K TV.
There is a Picture Clarity setting that you can easily adjust to alleviate the judder issue. Simply follow these steps: 1) With the TV powered on, press the Home button on the Samsung remote to open the Home screen 2) Then select Settings > Picture > Expert Settings > Picture Clarity Settings 3) Then you will see the following three options: a) Off: Picture Clarity Settings will always be off b) Auto: Picture Clarity Settings will automatically activate and deactivate based on the type of program being watched c) Custom: Allows custom adjustments and settings to be used 4) By selecting the Custom option, you can access these advanced settings: a) Judder Reduction: Use the directional keys on the remote to adjust the Judder setting b) LED Clear Motion: Select to turn on/Off/Auto c) Noise Reduction: Select to turn Auto/Off
We also recommand you to try Device Care option to minilize glitches. Go to Settings > Support> Device Care > Start Device Care. This service checks memory and frees up unused cached memory and closes background apps.

I purchased this tv 11/25/2020 and it no longer works! Very disappointing because we’ve had it for less than 2 years. It was recommended to us to just purchase a new one because repairs would be costly. Very upsetting!

The design is striking and fits very nicely in our viewing room.
The ease of use is excellent with menu and remote control.
It is very lightweight and can be easily mounted on the wall or just set on a TV stand.

I really love this TV now, but sometimes I am jealous that it is smarter than me. If this is your first smart TV, like it is for me then expect a learning curve. When I compared this TV to others in the same category, on display in the store, I liked the picture but thought that there were others around it that had brighter pictures with more color contrast. I took a chance and bought it, hoping that I would be able to tweak the picture to my liking. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s picture is every bit as impressive if not more so than the others. If you are not wanting a smart TV with all the bells and whistles then this not the TV for you. Finally the legs were too far spread out to fit on my TV cabinet so I bought a separate center mount stand which I like much better.

I’m not sure if it’s the 4K or the LED technology, but the experience is jaw dropping compared to the picture on the 3yr old plasma we replaced. It’s the closest thing to reality there is and that’s not even mentioning how the deeper colors and crispness enhance the whole effect. The TV is so smart - it actually tells it’s user how to set things up and senses the other devices and components beautifully. We have a theater system that requires all connections to go thru it to the TV and the Samsung placed everything into its menu for us and talked to the theater system for seamless control of all the devices and components right from the Samsung remote.

I started to give this a 4 star with the TV speakers, but gave it a 5 star because the TV speakers are very good for normal viewing. The just give up a little in the amount of audible content in the subject matter. I linked it to an S60T soundbar which adds back extra missing sound. Lacks the added bass that a subwoofer would bring but for a bedroom its enough. The picture is outstanding and at this price point, can't be beat. The TV's strongpoint is the ease of setup, integration with the soundbar, ease of bluetooth connectivity with headphones (when working out on the elliptical). The TV has all the smart features you would want and looks good also.

This was my first purchase of a qled tv. I am impressed with the excellent picture quality and functionality. Not a fan of the remote control, it may be good for those that a simple on/off button, volume and channel up and down as you have to scroll up and down 1 channel at a time. Not having a direct access number pad is annoying. I think it is a high end Samsung innovation. Smart TV functions are strong, if you have xfinity you can eliminate the cable box charge by downloading the xfinity app, a savings of $10 per month, thus reducing total cost of the tv.

The perfect TV for those that want to catch up with the times and have a room that’s not blessed with so much square footage. If you have an old set and need an upgrade after 8 years and also want a good quality 4K screen without breaking the bank then this is a no brainer! It’s completely worth the price as it has all the smart features and goodies you expect out of a screen like this. Now if you are like me and bought it out of 4K spontaneity but also want future proofing, bang for your buck, not worry about another TV purchase for 7-10 years, while considering getting the next gen console, then chances are you’ll return and exchange it for a TV with faster inner software and more features. I thought for the Xbox series X any 4K screen will do (it pays to do your homework kids). Little did I know until I spent hours watching HDTVTest on YouTube doing comparisons with 2020s lineup of OLED, QLED etc. (Samsung really helped with seeing small, minute details in that beautiful 4K), only realizing that I won’t be getting the most out of that console. Luckily Best Buy is better than your neighbor and is always there! No hassle on exchanging it for a 55” LG CX. Plus they had the extended holiday return policy which helped for those Black Friday deals instead of being limited for 15 days. Had Samsungs forever and would still recommend this and the Q90T if you’re iffy on LGs OLED display. Taking a chance with OLED considering I’m gonna use the tv a lot less because as with all of us, life becomes a bigger part of the picture. Being grown up, ain’t nobody got time fo dat! But when you do, you want to make the best out of it with a much better experience.

Tv is great but the TV remote is so annoying. The tv has a beautiful picture , great color and the sound us good and clear. The remote is so annoying. I hate the flick up and down buttons for sound and channels. You start clicking it upward or downward and it locks up and sends it back to the listings. The batteries that comes with the remote doesn't even last a month so make sure you have some on hand to replace them.

We lost our TV (and alot of our other electronics) to a lightning strike, so needed a replacement quickly. We were not in the market for a TV, so had not done alot of research, but we had good luck with previous Samsung TVs, so we went with this one. It fit our needs exactly-- Its not monstrously large, so it fit our space. Picture quality is great. The proprietary streaming apps met our needs, though that is worth considering if you use a lot of streaming services. Set up was relatively easy, though some futzing around is required to set up and activate a Samsung account, It has features I haven't even explored yet, but so far, we are very pleased with the purchase, and it didn't break the bank to purchase it.

Bought this QLED 60 Series even though it was priced about $300 more than the 50" Samsung Crystal HD I originally purchased. There is no comparison regarding the beautiful picture. We could not control the color values of the Crystal HD no matter how we tried to adjust color, sharpness, contrast etc. We exchanged that TV for the QLED 60 and are still so impressed with the more expensive Samsung. Actually, we already owned a 2 year old 65" QLED that we already considered an outstanding product. We expected to get better picture reproduction with the 60 Series, and we did. Still not super happy with the remote. It could use a few more buttons, and the "Ambient" button for us is useless. Also using the "Home" Screen is somewhat clunky. I wish there was a way to get rid of the icons below the control line. It's too messy. It would really help to have just a 8 page printed insert containing instructions for the remote. The On Screen operation guide is too hard to read unless you move up on top of the screen. Besides, I'd love to be holding a printed guide in my hand while I try to figure out the remote and interactions with the TV. But this still a high quality product.

Love this TV. it took me a little while making some adjustments in the settings to get it to my liking but now it is awesome for me. It has crisp, vibrant colors, life like resolution. For me, a perfect size with a good sized screen but not an overwhelmingly huge body. it is also light weiweight compared to my old clunker. I looked at many TVs before I chose this one and so glad I did!

I wanted a specific Samsung model. I had a bad experience with Samsung direct, and wanted my new tv that day. Customer service in Paramus was very helpful to find the model in another store and set it up for same day pick up. I went to Woodland Park and got my tv, they brought it right to the car. The tv is excellent-stunning picture, apps, links to my Bose soundwave, easy to set up.
