bought this 2015 and the picture is great, the curve is the best

I was in seatch for just a simple 50" or bigger flat acreen TV with ultra HD resolution. I had already picked another Samsung TV when I went to the store to see it. Once there, an employee said it was a great TV but told me that they had a even better curved one in the open box section. He basically went over how the dark colors for this tv were actually dark and color constrast was high, and that it was basically a well built entertainment system with access to appa on the actual TV. My dad owns one of Samsung's first smart TV and to be truthful, its a nice concept but it is extremly slow, but the salesperson assured me Sansung had really improved the technology, including the control. I was skeptical but since i had 2 weeks to change my mind and return it, decided to bring this TV. He was rigth, Samsung greatly improved the technology. Never seen or used a control as this one which has fee basic buttons and most of it is used as a mouse on the screen with motion sensors, never really used the speech command, but TV be programmed to control almost any STB from the HDMI connector, so thats really nice. Netflix app opens up quickly like any other computer or tablet, and my favorite feature is the Samsung Extra, which the tv knows what you watching (on air or cable box) and witha press of a button downloads all info in regards to what you watching (like a light version of IMDB). Had bougth the TV rigth before the Rio Olympics, had it just hooked up with the on air antenna (a small one) while I finished remodeling the room it was suppose to be installed in and the reception the tv tuner had was one of the best, didnt have to fiddle with antenna at all and the Ultra HD really made this TV the best ive seen.

This TV is the ultimate TV. I watch WWE, professional wrestling, and the picture is so clear you can see individual beads of sweat on the performers. I have watched several Blu-Rays and it is like having a movie screen in your living room. The set up and ease of use is amazing. The smart features, that I use, Amazon Prime and Netflix, are just a push of a button away. Plus, I can control my cable box, Blu-ray player and TV with one remote. If I had a bigger place I would go all out and get the bigger screen but for my needs this is TV is a hit!

Very good looking TV. Has a great picture, easy set up, and smart features are great, and easy to navigate. My only issue with the set, is I have a window directly in front of the screen, and I get a little glare in the mornings, other than that I could not be happier with my purchase.

Upgraded from 6 year old 46" Samsung LCD to this 55" curved UHD TV. Overall it has been great. Great picture, volume, easy to use. Sometimes the smart apps don't work like Netflix and Hulu. I will click on it but nothing happens. It doesn't load. Maybe it's my internet connection? When I try later, it works. The TV was easy to put together, however it was a slightly difficult to set up because I needed to upgrade the software and couldn't do it on my own as it said that I had to call, which was annoying because who likes to wait on the phone for a representative. The remote is small, which I don't mind, and you can use it like a Wii controller if you prefer. It doesn't have numbers on it like a normal remote but you hardly ever use the TV remote as you use the cable box remote for everything now anyway. All in all, great purchase. Samsung always makes great products.

I got this for mostly playing Xbox One, and it is great for that. The upscaling works well on 720p and up, but it doesn't handle standard definition well at all. But who buys a 4k TV to watch basic cable? Anyhow the set isn't a true 120hz it's actually only 60, but the 120 is achieved through software magic and it actually does a decent job. Make sure you put the TV in game mode for the least amount of input lag. Color, contrast, everything looks great. I was impressed with the picture overall.

First- the picture quality is fantastic. Upconvert feature takes 1080p signal and enhances quality. That said, I am currently unable to use this TV to it's full potential...yet. Contacted Dishnetwork to see when they will release DVR's that will receive 2160p signal- was told they will be releasing Joey receivers first followed by Hopper DVR's soon, but the cust service rep was unable to give me a firm date. Can't wait to see true 2160 resolution. Do yourself a favor- spring for HDMI cables that support 4K signals NOW or you will not be able to use this TV to it's full potential. I bought Rocketfish 8 ft cables- SKU 372001, gold plated connections and 18Gbps bandwidth- standard HDMI cables typically support 10.2 Gbps bandwidth. It's only a matter of time before all cable providers start transmitting in 2160p. Mounting to existing wall mount took a little bit longer due to curve and new soundbar, but I got it figured out (strongly recommend using Rocketfish soundbar mount with this as the mount kit comes with a wide assortment of hardware needed to make it work, such as bolts of various sizes and lengths as well as spacers). SMART TV feature is great- app capability is endless. Currently set up for wireless connection and have not experienced any issues with latency. TV configuration options are numerous as well- I particularly like Sports mode. If you're a gamer, you can't go wrong with this TV- I have both my XBox 360 and XBox One connected to it- Madden 16 graphics are off the chain with this. Can't wait to play NHL 16 on it as well. Overall, great product so far.

we had actually purchased a flat screen LED by another prominent maker when we happened to see this tv in a best buy store..we were so impressed by the clarity and innovative curved tv viewing experience that we bought this one and cancelled the other purchase..amazing viewing quality, lots of hi-tech functions and ease of use..you can really dig deep into this TV's programming functions to personalize your viewing experience..we actually like less of a sharp appearance, so we personalized it for a grainier old-school look..it stills never ceases to amaze anyone who watches absolutely anything on this tv !

This TV really has it all. It's exceptional with gaming and Blu-ray movies. I have dish and it sometimes lags on it. I'm not sure if it's because there isn't 4K out yet for Dish? Love that the Smart features. The speakers are also exceptional. I would recommend getting a soundboard or something similar. Overall I am happy with my purchase. It's definitely a great buy. I purchased the curve so everyone in my living room could view the TV a certain angles. My living room is set up weird being a house built in the 50's. It's perfect. And it's even better because I can sync it with my Samsung Note 5.

I wanted this TV from the 1st moment I saw in a Best Buy TV viewing room and watched it, but is was very pricey. So I had to wait until the price dropped and then I went shopping. My new 55" curved Samsung 4K is wonderful. Crystal clear images, great picture quality, easy to operate, you can see it from any angle, and lots of ways to integrate it with other systems. I am so HAPPY!

I won't bore you with technical details of why this TV is great. This TV does it's job extremely well. The picture is crystal clear, has very nice and dark blacks, beautiful color, and has performed above my expectation. I wasn't a believer in the whole curve thing but when I sat down directly in front of it to watch an NBA game, I was immersed! It is truly awesome! The funny thing is even when you sit at an angle you don't lose any of the image as one might suspect. It's a weird phenomenon. I own 2 of this exact TV and have never been more satisfied!

I bought this TV and a Samsung 4K Blu-ray as a gift for myself while the deal was good. It's everything I was hoping it would be. The picture is amazing not only on native 4K content that I've viewed over the internet, but the upconverted and native 2K content is clean and clear as well. I'm just waiting on my 4K satellite receiver and 5.1 sound system. You will not be disappointed.

My Husband and I chose this TV because we really liked the curved design and that it was a smart TV. It's so cool we can look online, YouTube, Netflix and lots more. The only issue that we encountered is the remote lags. Sometimes doesn't work for several minutes and the batteries were brand new.

So far this TV is a very good buy, the picture is very good, the curve gives the picture a more vivid visual experience. The only thing that I can say that needs to be improved, is the remote control and its features, for the new owner it takes a bit of time to learn how to use its functions. I would rate this TV overall as a 9 out of 10. Thanks. "

I guess I can't find a negative thing to say about this TV. I have had it for several weeks now and it has performed perfectly. The picture is simply awesome and the curved screen not only adds depth to the all ready brilliant picture, adds greater viewing angle, but also reduces glare.

Immediately upon opening, it was obvious my family loved the television. In fact, the kids loved it so much it was 3 days before I was even able to experience it for myself and what an experience it was. The clarity and color are amazing. The curvature offers clear viewing from any angle from a range of several feet. The features--oh my--the features are what I love the most. The smart remote is truly a genius and is truly a universal remote. It's the only remote I need and it even listens to me--unlike everyone else I know. The verbal requests are not limited to turning the television on or off. You can also request it to search YouTube for a particular video, change to a specific channel or program. All in all, it was an excellent purchase at a perfect price.
