    Good 55 inch TV

This replaced a 10-12 year old 55 inch Samsung TV. Setup was easy once I bought some m8 1.25 45mm screws to mount it. The picture is good and the menus are not hokey like my mother in laws 70 inch Samsung TV. Picture is good and I wouldn't know about sound because it is hooked up to a sound bar.

    Good picture, fragile frame

Watching this TV is a joy. However, the hardware is EXTREMELY fragile. When I lowered the TV from the wall to mount a sound bar, my antenna cable snagged on something. The force on the coax port wasn't that much, maybe a few pounds, but it bent the antenna connector, which then completely fell out the following week. The warranty doesn't cover "physical damage", and it would have cost $350 to fix, so we'll have to live with this and find a workaround to get on-air TV. (A $40 box that takes coax input and gives HDMI output will probably do the trick.) Of course this is partly my own fault. I could and should have been more careful unmounting the TV. But something that breaks SO easily, almost fresh out of the box, is bad design. Having to swap out the entire motherboard to fix a single port is ridiculous. And Samsung's refusal to provide any coverage for this sort of thing is disappointing. 5 stars for picture and 1 star for reliability and service averages out to a 3 star review.

    Boooo-urns

Our house is the average consumer of binge worthy streaming programs and wait-for-streaming-film-blockbusters. We purchased this TV as a "Pre Black Friday" hot sale. Within the first year we were already disappointed because it failed the 4K Ultra promise by giving us extremely dim pictures. Dark/night scenes were impossible to watch, even at the brightest settings. The only way to overcome this was by casting the media via Google Cast or Roku without 4K Ultra. Now, after 5 years, the left panel is starting to flicker. Some whispers on the Internet suggest that sets sold on or around Black Friday are intentionally low end models, sub par, in order to satisfy the price point. In any case, we are burned and won't be comeback to Samsung.

I ve never had a remote this bad before,RR FF play and pause are at the very bottom, you need two hands to operate it. I sit 7 feet straight in front of the TV, there is a delay many times where you need to press a button several times,it takes a large amount of pressure to make it work

Purchased new in December of 2019. Left side of TV started going dark and flickering within 3 years quickly followed by most of the TV. It was a good tv until this started happening.

I purchased this TV about a year ago. It was working well other than the volume being super low at all times). When I woke up this morning and turned the TV on there was a large black blob at the top left corner of the screen and the color was COMPLETELY dim. All of sudden the tv went black, but I could still hear it. Then it repeatedly kept turning on and off on its own until I unplugged it. As I stated before, this TV is about a year old and I am thoroughly disappointed.

First let me say the TV quality is fantastic! Very Impressed! However trying to delete pre-installed Junk on the App Store is impossible. Samsung hyped the flexibility of the Tinzen Smart TV. Complete BS!! PreLoad Apps they "Recommend" only to find out you can't delete this crap. I'm a long time user of Roku. Samsung needs to takes notes from their competitors to give people what they want!

Drops wi-fi - Samsung fell off in 2019

    Posted .

Well after reading many reviews online, on YouTube, Amazon, Rtings and here on BestBuy I’ve come to the conclusion Samsung decided to cheap out on TVs this year and remove features like local dimming, supply a disliked remote control and use more plastic like for foot pedestals. Samsung also admits to a bug that corrupts the TV, as well as glitches within the software. I am a Samsung supporter for years, at least 12 years I have been purchasing Samsung TVs. I was eye a top of the line Samsung 86” or larger but after reading and now experiencing this wi-fi issue with this new 2019, spending time resetting the connection on the TV and then then the TV resets/forgets it the next time I turn it on. Nah. Time to switch to LG. Sorry Samsung. I’m not waiting until next year when it has been purported you guys will have new tech. Shameful.
