Good TV, no complaints. This TV was for a friend that just bought a house, and they like it. Picture quality is good and having the ability to not have an extra streaming stick is great. Easy to navigate also.

Tizen Platform Is The Way To Go

I purchased this Samsung 55" Class 7100 Series LED 4K Smart Tizen TV shortly before Christmas 2020 on sale for a great price. I Chose the Samsung brand not only because I am well acquainted with their products, but because I did not want a TV where I am forced to have a specific platform imposed on me and directing my viewing experience such as those Fire, Chromcast, and Roku TVS. Yes, they are dirt-cheap but I wanted a much less invasive experience, hence this Samsung. Aside from loving the screen size, I found the setup easy and the TV was running in less than 2 minutes after getting it out of the box & placing it on its table. The on-screen menu was very simple, and it was easy to navigate & adjust to my liking. I really loved the setting for the wifi where I can turn it off when I choose to, unlike other TV brands where once you connect it to wifi, it's painstaking to block the wifi signal to it, and it's usually done by means other than the TV itself. This samsung TV has its own TV channels that does not require scanning for over-the-air/cable channels or an antenna, an it does not require wifi connection either. These channels are many and are listed in a good sequence and easy to favorite & retrieve. The TV remote is the old style with up, down, right, left arrows in the middle section and an Enter button enveloped by them. If one is already using those tiny remotes with a few buttons may find it a bit cumbersome to go back to old-school remote but I find it a lot easier to use than the newer skimmed ones where it's hard to know how to use them without prior reading of instructions. The clarity of the picture, and the colors are amazing at the default setting. The audio has great settings as well and I do switch between them to get different audio experiences for different shows (think Star Wars/Live concerts/relaxing music, etc). I did not get to appreciate the size of this 55" TV until it was placed on higher surfaces, above my eye-level. I highly recommend getting this TV, specially when it goes on sale, and when you do, keep in mind that unless you plan to wall-mounted, use that elegant Bestbuy table-mount, or get a free-standing floor mount for it, plan on putting it on a surface almost as wide as the TV itself because the legs are closer to the edges of the width of the TV, and it's not funny when one is excited to get the new TV out of the box, looking forward to Christmas-time movies & TV shows binging then find out that the current TV console is not wide enough for the TV :-)

We purchased this as a TV for our master bedroom to sit on our dresser. I know it's a common thing for these to have speakers on the back, but in a bedroom, I don't really want a soundbar or speakers hanging around. It's just for while we're getting ready in the mornings, to have the news on, etc., or to have the dogs watch some puppy things. So, I guess the back-speakered sound will do.
We have it connected to our extended Wi-Fi, which is great for our home, but with all three of our Samsung Smart TV's, if you just turn it on and expect it to connect to the last app right away, it just doesn't. It either doesn't connect to your network right away, or it doesn't bring back the last app used. We've got all our settings correct, and it just works "some" of the time. If you turn it on and wait about 30 seconds, then it will find the network and connect. Without being connected to a cable or dish network, there is no "instant" on, or "just put this channel on quick!".
Overall, I LOVE the picture quality, and the ease of use is pretty great overall.

We were looking for an extra TV for our home. We found this one at Best Buy and the price was great. It was really easy to set up, very easy to connect to our Wi-Fi, and has a great picture. The built-in apps make it even better! Great product!

Super picture. Easy set up. Added the spectrum app to get reception without a tv box or the cables. Easy to mount on the wall, but you need spacers that come with the tv rather than the ones that came with the mounting kit. I do wish the remote would light up for easier use in the dark.

I bought this TV to replace my 50" TV that was starting to go. It was easy to install. I used the feet and they are really sturdy. I like the picture much clearer than my last TV. I played around with the settings and after a while I got it to where I like it. The speaker sound quality is more like stereo speakers. For me, I don't need the extra speaker bar. The sound is loud and clear without that tinny TV sound. Connecting to my WI-FI was easy. Just download the SmartThings app and connect via Bluetooth to complete the setup. The apps were really easy to setup and work real smooth, not choppy. You can get the smart remote to use your phone or tablet to control the TV it works just like the hand held remote. I was also able to setup my Alexa to control the TVs power but haven't figured out the channel changing yet. Over all it's a really nice TV and am happy with this product so far.

So far this is a very solid TV. It’s easy to use for the most part, especially when navigating the settings. It’s easy to add apps; the only thing I have a problem with is that it does not have access to some apps, like DC universe; and Samsung and YouTube apparently have some sort of argument going on behind the scenes; so you may have the best cable connecting your TV to the Internet, and all of the apps maybe working quickly and with great quality, but YouTube transmits a purple pixelated picture. Apparently this is a problem because Samsung and YouTube just can’t get their act together It’s easy to add apps; the only thing I have a problem with is that it does not have access to some apps, like DC universe; and Samsung and YouTube apparently have some sort of argument going on behind the scenes; so you may have the best cable connecting your TV to the Internet, and all of the apps may be working quickly and with great quality, but YouTube transmits a purple pixelated picture. Apparently this is a problem because Samsung and YouTube just can’t get their act together. But even the sound on this TV is pretty good. It’s a speaker at the bottom, so it faces the stand or the floor, but if you don’t have access to a sound bar or a stereo system, you can get by on the speaker. I was surprised by that!

Set up was quite easy. The initial on-screen setup instructions were straight-forward and clear. The only annoying features that I have encountered thus far is that when the TV set powers on, the menu of internet-based features always shows up in the bottom of the screen and you must hit the "Exit" key to get rid of it. 90% of the time I turn the TV set on, I just want to see what's on the regular channels, so it's a minor nuisance. There may be a way to adjust it, but I haven't had the time to do so yet. The navigation keys on the remote you must pay close attention to how you are entering your user name and password, etc. It is very easy to "get lost" on the key pad with your thumb if you aren't looking and then you get to start over.
The quality of the TV is outstanding. Picture and sound are very good. I have not had an issue with buffering while watching internet based content like Netflix. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Our new Samsung TV (55") is great! It has really good color and great sound (using the sound bar we purchased with it). It only took a short time to set it up and it has been working flawlessly. It's also more sturdy on its spindly legs than we expected.

The picture quality is supreme. It is easy to use. We like the point and click option. We are finding new ways to use the tv every day (i.e. I have been able to watch our church service on the TV by sending the image from my phone.)

Needed a new bedroom TV for nearly a year after old one gave out. Saw this set listed during the Black Friday sales. Decided on 55 inch screen since it would be sufficient size to watch films and other shows without eye strain.
The delivery process was seamless: the delivery men arrived earlier than promised, and were able to take my old tube TV for recycling.
After giving the package sufficient time to reach room temperature, the TV was easy to assemble on my own with patience and a Phillips head screwdriver.
The TV screen shows crystal clear on all channels. Apple TV, YouTube and Netflix apps were simple to set up. The remote control is easy to understand. Take the time to read the online manual as you explore the TV functions. Samsung is a reliable brand that I would purchase again.

I love this tv. We purchased it as a Christmas gift to ourselves to replace and older Visio brand. We went with this Samsung TV because of the price initially. It was a lot less than the Vizio brand but was the same size and had all the features we were looking for. It was lightweight and fit right on the wall using the same wall mount we previously had used. The picture quality is fantastic - very clear and bright - the sound is very good too - absolutely no complaints. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend this tv to others.

I bought these 2 TVs and they are great ! Awesome picture and easy set up! My only complaint would be that the remotes are way to complicated, I just ordered a universal remote with less buttons and now we are happy!
