They did nothing Samsung and BestBuy did both companies horrible. Way to stand behind your product . Never again will I walk into a Best Buy

Also the tv was for an elderly gentleman…he had a very hard time adjusting to it….should have taken that into consideration also the sound is not great for someone 93

ABYSMAL FOR THE PRICE

I have it hooked up to a Samsung soundbar that was very loud before I replaced with this Samsung TV. I can hardly hear it now at full volume. The remote doesnt have any Volume setting on it either which is very strange !! Im sorry I bought it !! Its not worth the $500 I paid for it !!!

1) Auto Volume automatically adjusts the sound to a certain level when changing channels or switching to another external input. Go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Auto Volume.
2) Adaptive Sound automatically adjusts to a specific volume level while watching TV. The TV analyzes your volume usage history by time period to automatically adjust the volume when you use an app or switch to an external input source. Go to Settings> All Settings> Sound> Sound Mode> Adaptive Sound.
3) Several Sound Modes are likewise available to meet your personal preferences: Home > Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode.
4) When connected to your Soundbar, please check whether the Digital Output Audio Format is set to Pass-Through by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings > Digital Output Audio Format > Auto.

Model series faulty

After 2 and a half month requested service from Best Buy due to faulty performance. Too slow, network does not work properly, some lines appears randomly. I bought one 65" and the 55", both faulty. I think is something wrong with this Samsung model.

First, let's ensure you are running the latest Firmware. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update. To ensure you do not miss any Firmware Updates, I recommend enabling Auto Updates. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update> then select Auto Update.
Next, let's try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
If you are still seeing lines on your screen please follow the below steps.
1. If any external devices are connected, check all input cable connections
2. If the issue persists, define precisely what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, and fixed horizontal or vertical lines.
3. Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?
4. Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, and choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?
5. If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)
6. If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. The signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Poor picture quality in low light scenes

At home discovered terrible picture in low-light/dark scenes even at highest brightness setting. Too dark. Wish I had returned it when I had the chance. I recommend spending a little more to get better picture quality

First, let’s ensure you are running the latest Firmware Update. Go to Settings> Support> Software Update.
For darker scenes, I recommend Dynamic Picture Mode, which makes pictures brighter and clearer in bright viewing environments. Go to Settings > All Settings> Picture > Picture Mode > Dynamic.
You may also want to disable Power Saving Mode, which automatically adjusts the brightness to reduce the TV’s power consumption. Go to Settings > All Settings> General > Eco Solution> Power Saving Mode.

I’m sorry to hear about the issues you’re experiencing with the CU8000 TV's slow user interface. To ensure performance is fully optimized, please make sure your TV is running the latest firmware. To do so, go to Settings> Support> Software Update. You can easily update from there if necessary.
Next, I recommend utilizing the self-diagnostic tool, which checks memory, frees unused cached memory, and closes background apps. Go to Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care.
If you like, you utilize the Autorun Last App feature to automatically start the last app you used once the TV is turned on. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
1) Navigate to Settings > All Settings> General > Smart Features > Autorun Smart Hub
2) Enable the Autorun Smart Hub feature
3) Navigate to Settings > General > Smart Features > Autorun Last App
4) Enable the Autorun Last App feature
To adjust the sound on your TV, go to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Sound Mode or customize the sound with Expert Settings by going to Settings > All Settings> Sound > Expert Settings.
We also recommend you try a Sound Test under Support > Self Diagnosis > Start Sound Test. Another way to check the source volume is to test an internal streaming source like Netflix or YouTube to compare.

1. Use 5Ghz Wi-Fi if possible
2. Try wired LAN if available
3. Try repositioning the router, so there are no obstacles between your TV and the router
4. Try running a cold boot on your TV. To do so, hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and then on again. This should take about 5 seconds.
Please also be sure you are running the latest firmware. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Settings > Support > Software Update.

I do not like the mute and the volume button being together. The picture is very good and the color is excellent.
