HORRIBLY slow indexing video files on a hard drive. If you have videos on a large hard drive you want to watch you might as well forget it. Something that was instant on a 2017 q6 takes over 30 minutes if you’re lucky, and has to start from scratch every time the TV is powered on. My $50 insignia does a better job. Samsung customer service acts like it is not an issue, which is frustrating because a) it is something that has been a non-issue in the past and b) seems like such a simple fix in a software update, and c) it is unusably slow, something you wouldn’t expect from a top of the line TV at this price point. Another small negative is the Peacock native app doesn’t show in HDR for HDR programming. On the positive side, the picture is good and the screen is good at handling glare.

Buyer,
We appreciate your feedback regarding your S90F TV’s performance. If you're experiencing freezing or lag in general response time, please try the following steps:
1. Check for firmware updates – Keeping your TV up to date can resolve many performance issues: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Software Update > Update Now
2. Run Device Care – This tool checks system memory, frees up cached data, and closes background apps that could be slowing things down: Home > left directional key > Settings > Support > Device Care > Start Device Care
3. Cold boot your TV – With the TV powered on, press and hold the Power button on your remote for 5+ seconds until the TV restarts. This helps refresh the system.
If you're still noticing performance snags after these steps, please contact Samsung Support at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8AM – 12AM EST, 7 days a week. You can also connect with a LiveChat agent via the ‘Support’ link on our website.

This product works sounds and looks amazing. The only thing is don’t put it near the window and it is not the kind of product you can leave on 24/7. But the performance clarity shadowing depth of picture is amazing. Works fantastic with Xbox and PlayStation games. For movies it’s a little bit different because of the software that’s being used, but it still works great so if your primary focus is gaming consoles, this is literally the best thing you can get. But beware it is super fragile. In any direct striker, blow to the front of the screen will not only crack it, but disable it and no picture will be available anymore. So if Performance is your goal and you don’t have to worry about bumping it or touching it, go with this amazing product.

S TV has an excellent picture! Going from a TV that was 15 years old to this was mind blowing the depths of the colors are incredible and clarity is simply beautiful. The set up was straight up and very user-friendly. The only issues that I have had is when I’m going from the Internet to the coax TV signal sometimes I have to reconnect to the Internet, not all the times but it’s a little bit of a pain. Overall, super satisfied. as others have said the sound is adequate but not great. I understand the intention is for folks to get a sound bar so there you have it.

As a decade long LG OLED enthusiast, this TV has blown me away. I returned the LG G4 due to the new dithering algorithm and after a lot of research landed on trying this. *Once calibrated*, its colors, especially at high brightnesses, blow LG OLEDs out of the water. And at lower cost. It looks absolutely incredible with HDR games hitting peak brightness of 2300. My biggest complaints with it are color innacuracy in game mode defaults, and software just being wonky. The game mode picture settings need to be drastically changed for it to look correct and it looks awful before those changes. Luckily there are guides online of what to adjust without needing professional calibration. While using mine with my PC, the game mode game genre keeps changing from my color calibrated 'Standard' profile to FPS or RPG. No idea why and can't stop it, so I have to occasionally open the game menu and change it back to Standard. Those gripes aside, I can't believe how happy I am with this TV. I usually just veto Samsung TVs because of lack of Dolby Vision. I'm not sure an LG WOLED with Dolby Vision would look better than this with conent mastered with high enough nits to take advantage of this panel.

We looked at reviews for many TV's and saw that this TV was one of the best! It's great size for our living room (an upgrade from the size of our previous TV) and the color and sound are fantastic. It has more features and options than we even realized and we're still exploring them all. And the price and service at Best Buy was truly the Best!

Just what I was hoping for. Super picture with images that are almost D. Price point was spot one and what I was waiting on to buy OLED. Samsung is always dependable.

I didn’t spend much time looking at the picture in person . Mostly just did online research and pulled the trigger. Set up took minutes and the sound and picture quality is amazing.

This TV is amazing. The picture quality is excellent and for TV speakers the sound ia phenomenal. Tv speakers arent known for producing bass but to can definitely hear the bass to accentuate action scenes. Its not subwoofer aound but thats not expected from TV speakers. I have since added a full Sansung soundbar serround system. The buit in Q Symphony audio setting syncs the tv speakers with the soundbar. Combine that with the subwoofer and surround speakers and yiu have a complete movie theater experience both audio and video. I couldnt be happier

It is a huge upgrade from my 2017 flagship Samsung TV. Great colors, perfect blacks, snappy interface, no issues with networking, and smooth native integration with TV services and soundbar . I read and watched a few reviews, and the S90F appeared to be the best option for me. My room doesn't get much sun light, so there's no need to overpay for the S95F. So far, the only annoying thing I've found is that I can't disable sound when I change the volume or navigate in the menu. I tried to search and read guides, but there simply isn't such an option they refer to anymore.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your review! I believe you're looking for the Sound Feedback function, which allows you to adjust the volume of the remote clicks as you navigate through the menu or select options. You can turn it off by pressing the 123 (Quick Settings) key on your remote, then go to All Settings > General & Privacy > Sound Feedback.
Hope this helps! If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-800-SAMSUNG, available daily from 8AM - 12AM EST. You can also visit the Samsung website and click on ‘Support’ for:

I have waited a long time for a bigger TV and I’m very happy with this one. It’s easy to use and the color is so natural. I’m very happy with this purchase.
The Samsung S90F OLED delivers a stunning picture that is bright, sharp, and incredibly detailed. The screen size makes movies and sports feel immersive, and I haven’t run into any issues. Very satisfied with the purchase. The built-in speakers are decent, but I’d definitely recommend pairing it with a soundbar to get the full experience.

just bought this samsung tv a couple of weeks ago after being with lg for several years because i just kept hearing great things about there tvs and so far the picture quality is really good and after watching a few marvel movies on disney plus in hdr i can tell that the picture quality looks just as good as dolby vision on lgs. the sound isn't bad but would recommend getting a matching samsung soundbar like i did for movie watching as you can turn on soundbar and get Q- Symphony witch blends tv speakers with samsung soundbar for an amazing true movie theater experience

I have had Samsung TV for the past 10 years and the improvements they have made with this television makes it a winner in my book. The picture is really sharp and blacks are great. I had to adjust the brightness down a bit because the whites can be intense. The new software and apps make this a great stand alone TV. They are so responsive, I don’t feel the need for a streaming device like Apple TV or Roku. I would recommend the TV for those who can appreciate a great picture.

Awesome picture and ease of use. Love the television
Great picture and sound. The screen depth is so incredibly thin its like having a piece of glass for a screen. The only drawback to this is the perceived chance of bending or hurting the screen if not moving it carefully with two hands. Color mix is good, images are detailed and crisp. Syfy movies look exceptionally impressive on it.
