They appreciate its easy setup and the ability to hang it flat on the wall. This TV looks great on the wall. The art mode was the big selling point for me and it does not disappoint. Do play with the settings until you’re satisfied. For me it was no matte and low brightness, which makes it look like a framed print rather than a backlit screen print. Samsung has a decent selection of free prints and a large library of paid. You can also import your own pictures or hi really prints of other art (many art museums offer them). The TV was easy to hang and mount. I chose to flush mount it and am pleased with the result. Note that only a single, discrete cord connects to the TV. This leads to a small box (roughly 12” wide by 2” tall) where there’s a power cord and all the input ports. I’m happy with the picture quality and features, though I’m not quite used to Samsung’s menus yet. It was a pleasant surprise that they have their own menu of streaming channels.

The best tv to hang on your wall if you don’t want to feel like you have a tv hanging on your wall. The art store is worth it to me to have a rotating collection of print quality classics painted by all time greats. Changing of images can really chance the mood of the room.

This Review Is Long Overdue. We bought The 55" Frame back in 2020; Throughout these years the frame remains gorgeous, functional and sleek. Our next TV purchase will be another Frame.

Picture is great. Easy to use and set up. Comes with its own mount..(so don’t buy a mount). Only problem is the “invisible wire” and external box. Makes it difficult to mount over a fireplace if you just want a tv with no other connections . I had to make a hole in the wall to slide the box into. I have no cabinet or anyplace to put the box. So the “invisible wire” and external box were a pain. Now that I had to modify my fireplace by putting a hole in the wall and bracket... it’s a great tv. I think Samsung go too cute with the design using their invisible wire and external box.

Looks great on the wall. UI is disappointing

The Frame TV is a beautiful piece of engineering. It cleverly hangs flush on the wall and displays your pictures beautiful color like a giant picture frame, just as advertised. But the interface leaves so much to be desired. There are a number of surprising issues. Surprising in the sense that you would think a major company like Samsung would avoid such amateur omissions. For starters, the TV remote only integrates a very limited number of sound bar manufacturers. My 7 year old Logitech remote has better support than this television. After setting the TV to use the optical audio output for my sound bar, the TV is constantly switching the output back to the TV speakers. Why would it do that? Like I said, amateur. It connects to Bluetooth headphones pretty well. There is enough latency that you can't really use headphones while someone else is not, unless you have headphones with very effective noise canceling. After you're done using the headphones, of course it does not remember that you were using optical output and resets it to the TV speakers. The Art Mode looks really nice because of the way it sits flat against the wall. The UI is frustrating. For example, you cannot set a default matte option. So if you don't like Shadowbox, you have to go in and change everyone. Also, the slideshow defaults to 6 hours per photo. Of course when you go in and make other changes and go to start the slideshow again, it cannot remember that you changed setting. I know it might seem like I am nitpicking, but they add up. I could go on, like the pitiful storage space for photos. Or the fact that there is an ad taking up prime real estate right next to your home button. You don't actually own your TV. Other people, not just here but at the Samsung Community have plenty of other gripes. Samsung brags about being so world-class. They could do so much better than this.

      Artworks:

Thank you for your review of the Frame TV. We appreciate your feedback regarding the Art Mode and user interface features and will share it with our design teams.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing source selection issues when connected via an optical cable. Samsung TV's have Anynet+ (also known as HDMI-CEC), a feature that allows connected external HDMI devices to inform your TV when they have turned on. By default, the TV will immediately switch to this source when this happens. To turn off this function of a device connected to the TV, turn off the Anynet+(HDMI-CEC) function of the device.

You can control your connected devices using your TV remote by following these set-up steps:
      1) Connect an external device to the HDMI port of the TV, and then power on the external device. Your TV will automatically recognize the device when connected through HDMI, and will switch the output. If it doesn't automatically detect it, then keep following the steps to set up Universal Remote.

      2) Press the Home button on your TV remote to access the Home Screen. Using the directional pad on the remote, navigate to Source. When the selector is placed over Source, the Source menu will appear. Press UP on the directional pad to access Universal Remote.

      3) Select Universal Remote on the Source screen. Next, select Start and make sure the device you want to connect is turned on. When your desired device displays, select it. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup and register the device. The instructions may vary, depending on the device type selected.

      4) Your TV and the remote will memorize the external device and its connection port (HDMI 1, HDMI 2, etc.) to make controlling everything even easier. Occasionally, the device may not respond after it's registered. To make sure the connection is made, you need to re-register the device.

This is a beautiful product. Picture is very clear. Many functionalities are available to use. When TV is not in use, you can use it as a picture frame. The TV can be flushed to the wall. Nothing is left hanging out. Very pleased with this product.

Purchased 55" 2020 Frame TV. We just spent $15k remodeling our family room and the first thing people comment on is how nice the TV looks; It's hilarious! I love being able to display family photos over our fireplace when the TV is not in use. The picture may not be as good as an OLED TV or even some of the higher-end LED TV's, but overall it's still pretty great. No other TVs hang flush to the wall as this TV does.

I’ve installed a handful of these and overall I like the finished look and picture quality. The first one was challenging but the others were easier. It’s nice that it comes with its own wall mount and the unit looks great powered on or off. The biggest issue with these is placement of the One Box. You absolutely have to be able to stash the box but get the included fiber optic cable from that box to the tv. If the box is going in a cabinet or furniture below the tv it should be easy. If the tv is on a wall and no furniture below it then you have to install a large wall housing to hold the One Box. This tv looks great but it is very difficult to service or connect other devices unless the One Box is eadily accessible.

Great design and picture quality. Setup was easy. Template and instructions were clear to follow. If you purchase the 2021 model be aware that the analog output was removed and you will need to purchase a D/A converter. We did not want a TV in our living room but with the picture screen saver it made it possible. The art selection and the ability to upload your own photos is a great feature. One note when using you own photos, to get the best results make sure to crop or choose photos either the same aspect ratio as the TV.

I purchased the Samsung - 55" Class - The Frame Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR. My wife and I can't get over the quality of the picture and the sound! The Geek Squad came and did an excellent job of mounting the TV and going over the remote with us. What we especially enjoy is how great it looks mounted on the wall over our fire place with no wiring exposed and the default picture when we have the TV off.

Fantastic TV. Included wall mount works well, though I had to drill some holes to mount to studs. TV is fairly heavy, so make sure mount is solid. Easy to load your own pictures. Had some initial wifi connectivity problems, but software updates seem to have fixed that. Control box is large, so plan on where you are going to store it. Picture is fantastic.

Excellent picture, easy install and lots of cool options. As a side note - even though I am using a home theater the TV internal speakers are actually pretty good. I do think more free artwork should be included. I also think the separate box design that allows this TV to sit flush should have a wireless connection option and perhaps some other cabling options - not crazy about that part. I did purchase custom frame and it really makes this TV "shine".

Installation was easy. It comes with a big sheet of paper with a schematic of the wall mount. you can tape this on the wall to guide you where to drill holes. The tv clips onto the wall mount via a single horizontal bar. Any person with average skills can do this! The art mode is awesome and sometimes I find myself standing inches from the screen to see if I can tell it’s a tv.

This TV is beautiful and fun! We love the features, picture quality, and sound. Using it is pretty intuitive. We especially love how nicely it looks mounted above our fireplace. It really changed the look of our living room for the better. 12/10 Worth the money if you are able and willing to splurge, esp. if you hate the aesthetic of a bulky TV in your nicely decorated room.

The Frame has a great picture. It may not be Samsung’s top picture, but it is fine for our TV watching. The mount definitely gives it the look of framed art. If you want a good picture and also want it not to look like another TV on the wall when you are not watching TV then the Frame is the way to go.
