I have owned this TV for a few months now, and unfortunately it wasn't noticeable at first, but as time has gone on, i have noticed that when you have dark backgrounds the picture quality is horrible. I have done everything i could to fix this, new cables, faster internet, and nothing fixes it.

Replacing my 50" TV that my wife knocked over and broke....talk about a blessing! This TV is 8" bigger, upgraded to 4k Smart (old one wasn't), and it was LESS than what we paid for the old one 4-5 yrs ago. Hopefully your wife knocks your old TV over today so you can go pick up this beauty.

This was the 3rd smart TV purchase for our home, but it was the 1st Samsung. (the other 2 are LG and a Amazon Fire TV). First off, the picture on this TV is truly beautiful, really noticeable when watching 4K signals. The Apps available for this TV are great (and there are a ton). The audio is decent, but it's not excellent, but that's to be expected with a flat panel this thin, we use the digital audio out paired with a soundbar, and it's perfect. I only have 2 small nitpicks...the first one is the remote, it's not bad or anything, it's just not very feature rich... The second one is the lack of more HDMI inputs, there are only 3, which may be fine for most homes? But if you have multiple gaming systems, a blu-ray player and a cable/satellite receiver, you will quickly find yourself short on inputs. (something that "can" be remedied with a HDMI switch I suppose). All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase, and despite the above mentioned complaints, I'd have no trouble recommending this TV to a friend.

We bought this as an upgrade to our 42” Sony Bravia that still works awesome but like the newer technology for the online streaming, a little disappointing there is no illumination when there are so many separate functions, really enjoy the ability to stream, and the price point was awesome for what you get. Picture quality is decent, good enough for the average guy who needs a decent tv for the bedroom, good size too, I like the 58” option it was perfect for the space we have it in

So our 2-year old 55" Vizio E-Series television failed. Thank goodness we purchased a 5-year Geek Squad Plan (SHOUT-OUT TO BEST BUY). We initiated a repair, but since we live in a rural area we were out of the geographic region for repair service so they initiated a replacement. I noticed this 58" Samsung on Best Buy's website. Even though this TV is in the lower end of Samsung's product, line I have to say that I was absolutely blown away with the picture quality, clarity, crispness and color immersion!! This TV is amazing!! Out of the box it was phenomenal, but once I made a few adjustments I could not believe what I was looking at. I must say that I've never personally owned a TV with as brilliant a picture as this. And the audio is clean, clear, and LOUD with a slight "punch". There are several audio adjustments in the settings that also enhance an already awesome audio experience. Now I didn't buy the TV for a theater room, so if that's what you're after then get a speaker system. For every day use for your living room, den or family room you'll be more than happy with this TV's picture and audio. Everyone I asked said either LG, Sony, or Samsung. I'm glad I went with this Samsung. This is hands down the best purchase I have made in a very long time. I simply can't believe how incredible the entire experience is with this TV. If you're on the fence or skeptical about buying this then stop worrying and just get it. You will never regret a moment with it.

The quality of this TV is phenomenal. The picture is clean and crisp. I was able to set it up entirely alone, and have it hooked up to all the smart features within 20 minutes. It has been my main tv for entertainment now and sits perfectly on its stand. Well balanced and has a reliable weight to it. All support and updates have been great as well.

This has been the perfect living room TV for the wife and I. It doesn't have a ton of bells and whistles but it is a very competent smart TV that has a very serviceable picture for cable and video streaming. Purchased at a great price around Black Friday time. Would buy another if it was needed!

Replaced a 55" Toshiba 4k with this tv. I am amazed at how much better the color and clarity is compared to the Toshiba. We moved the Toshiba to our bedroom. I am looking at buying another Samsung to put in our bedroom. The difference is huge between the 2 tv's. Has tons of apps and free internet tv for cord cutters.

As I was looking to upgrade from a 46” TV, this definitely was the best value for the size. The smart features were intuitive and the picture has been a nice upgrade from my previous Samsung model. It was nice to have the 6 series pricing but have the 3rd HDMI input not normally in the 6 series.

This was an exchange under my Geek Squad warranty for a 4 year old 50" set which could not be successfully repaired at a cost-effective price. (Color lock problems) Although both sets are 4K, this set seems to have an even clearer picture than our 4 year old model had. Even with 1080P broadcasting, it seems to upgrade the visuals. With 4-K Directv, it is quite sharp and clear. It was easy to assemble the legs and hook up to my cables. The start up procedure was fairly quick and easy. I was very pleased at Best Buy/Geek Squad service, as they even upgraded the size to make sure I still had 3 HDMI inputs for our gear. Be sure to consider buying the 5 year Geek Squad protection plan (only $89), as even the service techs admit that the electronic boards inside are very expensive and can fail after a few years. With prices coming down recently, this full featured 58" model cost less than half the price I paid just over 10 years ago for my first Samsung 32" flat screen set (1080P).

Quick foreword: In case you don't read my full review below, if you plan to mount this TV, one thing you should know is that this TV has special adapters / hardware buried in the box. I was surprised how difficult it was to attach the universal mount kit I bought at the same time, but managed to get it all together. After I had the mount sorted out, I discovered the special adapters /hardware and had to undo everything to reattach and do it properly. This didn't really impact my review, as this was more my shortcoming, but important to know. Anyways....I bought this TV because of the nearly perfect reviews, and though I should share my experience so future buyers have a more realistic expectation of this TV. For some context, this TV was bought for our new living room, upgrading from a 42" Insignia (1080p 120hz) purchased nearly 10 years ago. I will start by saying that the positives are really great. I love the niche size, it allowed me to maximize the space where the TV would be mounted. Any bigger would have looked silly where it is located in my living room. The design is very sleek, and looks just as good from the back as it does the front. Ample inputs and a nice small power cord. I am 100% happy with the picture quality and display settings. Channel search for "over air" TV channels can be done quickly (I just re did it this morning in less than 5 minutes) and basic setup is fairly intuitive. My favorite non-hardware thing is the TV Plus channels. I didn't know samsung (or maybe other smart tvs?) have this feature, and basically you get a ton of content for free, smoothly integrated with free over air (bunny ear) channels. I mostly use these channels for background visuals when we have people over. Really cool concept, hoping to see this expanded in the future. Onto the not so great. Although the basic software is fairly easy to setup and do basic things with, overall I find myself often getting frustrated with certain aspects of it. The biggest frustration is lack of compatibility with Google assistant. Casting whatever you decide to watch isn't as smooth as a regular chromecast device, and some apps (like hulu) can't be controlled from your phone. Potentially most frustrating is how slow and choppy the "Guide" function is. If you want to browse channels, it pauses and takes a long time to load. I expected more with today's technological advances.

Picture is excellent. Quite fantastic actually. I was skeptical of the “smart” features, especially the apps, but have been pleasantly surprised. I find myself using the built-in apps more than external streaming device. Annoying the remote is not backlit. Three HDMI ports is limiting, especially if you use ARC with an external sound bar like Sonos Beam, then you really only have two HDMI ports for input. Also, beware, BestBuy specs say this model is Bluetooth enabled. It is not. Had I realized these caveats, I might not have purchased this model. Now it is mounted and setup. All in all, I’m content.

I needed a low cost tv bigger than 55” but less than 65”. This low end 58” Samsung met all the criteria. The sales rep tried to talk me out of it based on potential quality and longevity and said I should but the more expensive model. It is working perfectly and would def buy again. Great picture, good sound and ease of use remote and menu systems.
