I bought this on Black friday. What a deal. not even 2 weeks old and it has formed a vertical line. It changes colors based on action on the screen. Usually blue, green, or orange. I probably should have returned it but unpackaging this beast is such a pain and I love it. Samsung said it was a firmware issue until I updated that and found that it was still there. Samsung is sending someone out. I will probably not buy this same TV if they tell me I need to replace the screen. no way it should be doing this already.

Unfortunately, after 14 months, my Samsung UN60KS8000FXZA has shown to have a fading black line down the middle of my TV. This has never happened on previous purchases on LG or Sharp TV's. I am not sure why. One day, I turn on the TV and it simply showed up. This is my first Samsung TV, and I was really excited when I bought it. Not to mention, its the most expensive TV purchase I've ever made. I absolutely love this TV, but not until Is aw this line show up. I was shocked that in 14 mos, i would have to experience this. I am so disappointed. I feel like I have been ripped of. I suppose going forward, I'll have to get extended insurance should I ever buy a Samsung TV again.

I had my eyes on this t.v. for some time and on my birthday, my husband and kids bought it for me! BEST GIFT EVER! It's been almost a year and I STILL feel the same. The color is spectacular and the picture quality is outstanding even in standard settings. The volume is all around great. You don't have to turn the volume level up high to hear a normal volume. As far as the setup, the t.v. pretty much does it without much effort from you at all. Overall, the extensive research that I did on this t.v. and others was well worth it! This one won HANDS DOWN!! It's WELL worth the price!

I bought this TV because my old 1080p 47 inch Vizio died. I figured if I'm going to buy a new TV, I might as well make the jump to 4K. Although there's not a whole lot of 4K content out there, this TV does a fine job of making the best out of 1080p and 4K content. I really didn't think 1080p content would actually look better because my old TV was great at 1080p but I'm impressed with how well it looks on this TV. Mainly, the vibrant but realistic colors and the high contrast ratio. This TV does so well, it's actually hard to tell if you're watching 1080p or 4K. The real noticeable difference though is HDR. Shadows and sunlight look more noticeable and the TV automatically adjusts itself to support HDR properly when it detects HDR content. The interface is also very quick and easy. The remote is very simple and minimalistic but I'm impressed with how much it can do. This simple remote can actually control most of my devices by simply pointing it at the device during initial set up. The design of the TV is aesthetically pleasing with the two silver legs and it's thin bezel. The One Connect box is an added accessory but I can put this box anywhere that's convenient for cable management and it makes the ports easily accessible instead of trying to find awkward fitting ports on the back of the TV. There's two things I dislike. I can't figure out why my PC won't display on the TV. It says it's not a supported resolution even though I made sure it is. The One View software does help alleviate this though. Also, there is an ad that shows on the TV when you click on the Home button. This TV was not cheap so I don't know why there needs to be an ad showing.

Great value purchase. Less than I expected to pay for top name brand with all these features. HDR, 4K, smart tv. Turns on X-box auto when TV is turned on. Great colors/picture! Picture setting for gaming- primary use of this TV. Very simple/easy setup & remote.

After doing countless research on the web about 4K HDR TVs the KS8000 was the top choice in performance, picture and value. I looked at Sony, LG and Vizio. The Sony with the android TV looked great but the performance of the software is nowhere near my Nvidia Shield TV, LG the only comparable where the OLED and the high end LCD and they were very pricey, the Vizio M series was way too pricy and only has the benefit was better local dimming for watching movies in a dark room. So I got to the Samsung TV set, it has a great design, I love the One connect box because I can hide all of my cables behind something and not have them all hanging behind the TV. 4K and HDR look amazing on this TV and 1080p content looks very good. For gamers this is the TV to get, the input lag is minimal and the colors look amazing. I went with the 60 inch model because it was the perfect size. On the down side my TV does suffer from some light bleeding at the bottom of the screen like a lot of people has pointed out. If you looked closely it will distract you but if you don't care you wont even notice it that's why I took .5 stars of the score. Other that than the software is great and has a lot of apps and they keep adding new ones, I love the remote, I can control all of my devices and the setup was very easy. I highly recommend this TV, it won't break the bank and the picture quality is just amazing.

I started to buy this model last year and never got around to it. Finally, decided to look again. So happy I did. The picture is wonderful, it is slim, and easy to handle. I especially like the smart box. Instead of having 3or 4 cords , I only have 1. The hdmi cords can be shorter so they are not as expensive.

I researched the 60" options extensively and it came down to this and the LG 60UH7700. Both were on sale with the Samsung $300 more.
It's very difficult to review televisions in a store setting. I highly recommend trusting one of the many review sites, and I selected rtings.com. In all sizes, for LED, this is a top rated TV.
Setup is very easy and if you follow the recommended picture settings at rtings.com you'll get 90% there. Download the THX app for your final adjustments annd the color will be outstanding. Contrast is great, reds are red (not extreme like others have posted). Integration with my home audio and Harmony remote was simple.
Very elegant cabinet but I'm not a fan of the legs. Would rather see a pedestal mount to help hide cables. And the silver trim is a negative as it does add an unnecessary glare in bright rooms. Also, turned off the little Samsung light for the same reason.
Buy this set. You won't be sorry.

I finally decided to replace my 11 year old plasma tv and had done tons of research on 4K SUHD tv's. The Samsung 8000 consistently came up as the best value overall and it did not disappoint. The picture is stunning and it up converts 1080 content beautifully. There isn't too much HDR content out there, but what I've streamed via Netflix and Amazon is truly draw dropping.
The remote is sleek and easy to use and controls my Apple TV perfectly. It does about 80% of what I need for my X1 DVR but I do still use the xfinty remote for certain functions.
My only minor gripe is that the sound isn't as rich as my old tv, but I've heard that about most tv's nowadays. They made the screens so thin that hey had to compromise somewhere. It's not enough to make me drop a star in my rating.
The delivery and setup was great and very friendly.

I originally wanted to go with a LG 4K Tv. But comparing the picture quality. I decided to go with the Samsung base on the recomendation from the sales rep. I must say the picture quality is fantastic. The functionality is very user friendly and with a simple remote and 4 HDMI ports with 2 USB ports. The ports are located on a adaptor for easy access (at first It caught me by surprise) less cable to deal with if planning to mount on a wall and also mean shorter cables. Which is great for cable management! A couple of flaws:
- Gaming a bit fuzzy screen when around movement (from the refresh rate)
- no Ethernet port (great for gaming online and better connection speed)
- back panel pops out on certain areas on the edges (for the price you pay, quilts should be better)
It's a great buy for picture quality and the slim design.

The Samsung SUHD series TVs are utterly amazing in terms of their picture quality. Out of the box, minimal if any tweaking was required, and the colors are vivid with plenty of punch, but at the same time, not over saturated. I was in the market for OLED and resigned to paying a premium OLED price, but the difference between the OLED sets that I looked at and this Samsung SUHD were negligible. Both had rich, deep blacks and the only fault in the Samsung was in total black, you can see a hint (and mind you it is only a hint) of backlight.
The remote and interface seal the deal, although the remote easily shows fingerprints, but you cannot find a better LCD TV on the market in my opinion with the value and performance of a Samsung SUHD TV.

Purchased this tv mainly for gaming on my ps4 pro and the occasional night on Netflix. The 4k picture is great, colors are deep ,vibrant, and captivating. Haven't noticed any light bleeding from the top and bottom leds. The hdr gaming is awesome, games look great and i dont see any jutter or Anything even in games that have extremely fast movement. Picture quality for movies is exceptional as well. No soap opera effect, does a good job on upscaling ,and there is no awful soap opera effect on panning viewing angles. Overall i am extremely pleased with my purchase.Only con is slight drop off in picture quality when not sitting in front of tv. Great purchase though worth every penny!!

I had done research on this TV for a whole before I purchased it. I'm glad I did, first it's slim with a nice silver outline. The universal Samsung remote that comes with it can control all my devices including my ps4, Xbox, Apple TV. It's very easy to use. I love how I can switch from one device to another without having to get up. The quality of picture is amazing even the black colors on the tv makes it look like the tv turned off. I love my new Samsung tv.

I haven't bought a new tv in a while, so take that into consideration when reading this review... picture is much brighter than my previous tv (pioneer kuro plasma) and images are a lot sharper. However with LED tv's the off angle viewing is quite bad but you have to be pretty far off angle for it to really bother you. Menus are easy to navigate and setup was super easy. I'm not sure why they stopped making the 60" tv but it's big enough for my use.

My husband and I love this tv. Everything looks so clean and sharp. The colors are extremely bright. Things look more real than real. Must get 4K dvd with it. The stand didn't convince me at first, now I love it. I think the stand makes the tv look classy. 60 inch is more than enough for me and our living space. My eyes are getting use to the 4K HDR but when I see someone's tv without it, I really see the difference.
