Spent hrs of research on website, reading reviews, and asking Best Buy TV expertise their opinion on best TV to watch movies and what was the latest TV out besides OLED. This was a great choice. TV shows clear, precise, and smooth. Fits perfect in a 10 ×11 room.

This TV is great at displaying regular HD content while being excellent at displaying UHD and HDR content. UHD and HDR content is limited now, but when you find it, you can see a noticeable difference in the colors on the screen. I think the content will improve dramatically in 2017. The HDR is HDR10, not Dolby Vision. This is the current format battle similar to vhs and betamax or blu ray and hd dvd. So just be aware that it only supports one form of HDR. Great in my bright living room.

I had a hard time deciding on a TV when exploring all the Best Buy options and initially I went in to get a 65 inch but I kept going back to this TV as I really liked the picture quality and since getting it home it hasn't disappointed. I'm glad I chose this TV. The only thing I wish it had was a swivel on the legs rather than a stable position but given the size I understand why they put the legs the way they did.

This TV is picture perfect (no pun intended). The color accuracy is perfect, with true blacks and vibrant colors. The sports mode on it works very well, amplifies the sound is if you were at the stadium. Wacthing live events with the TV speakers is lacking a bit of sound, I would recommend hooking up a home theater system to get a live experience sound. HDR+ mode really helps the image quality, delivering smooth, true 4K content. The UI is very easy to manage and maneuver. The control takes a bit of time to get used to. Overall this TV is worth every penny, no problems with it whatsoever.

We have enjoyed this TV for several months now and are still learning how to take advantage of its many features. The picture is amazingly clear. Several picture modes allow quick adjustment for different types of programming which is helpful. Sound was also surprisingly good for a TV--full and clear without the thin, harsh sounds of previous TVs. The Smart TV features allow very quick access to sources such as Netflix with great picture. We do not have a true 4K source to use with this yet, but the upconverting delivers a great picture from all our current sources.

Really happy with this SUHD TV. The salespeople I talked to over the weeks leading up to the purchase were reluctant to promise much about the 4K content, understandably so as it is a little tricky to figure out right now, but all family members notice the difference between this TV and our prior Samsung HD that was 6 years old. The salespeople did mention "upscaling" and as far as I can tell, that is happening with our content, we use an over-the-air HD antenna and the Netflix and HBO GO content is coming in pretty amazing. Two favorite things about this TV would be the actual picture and the Samsung SmartTV interface, because we've now stopped using a $350 Harmony Remote in favor of the Samsung remote, which from the home button, we've got our Live TV feed, the Netflix, HBO Go, Amazon Prime and PLEX apps all right there for easy switching back and forth. Three things I don't like about it: #1: We use a Sonos Playbar for audio, and at first the TV couldn't recognize it which was a complete surprise. Reading online forums about Samsung to Sonos Playbar connectivity problems made my fear worse but eventually I found some work-around where we "trick" the TV into outputting to the Sonos. It is a solution, but not the best as the TV won't show what number (0-99) volume setting you are setting it to that you would get if using the standard speakers. Also, if we bring in another device input like a Roku 3, we are unable currently to control the TV volume using the Samsung remote so that is not ideal. Not sure why Samsung can't integrate better to sound bars or at least Sonos. #2: Wish the remote would light up for use at night. Love the remote, but it is small and the buttons are small, it is tough to see at night because it doesn't light up. #3: Currently no "SlingTV" app with Samsung. Everything else is there, but SlingTV is missing. This is a problem because I can bring it in through a Roku3, but I can't control the volume with the remote unless I get up and manually adjust the sound on the Sonos playbar. In the end, we are still super happy with the TV and hope to have it for 6+ years. Oh forgot to mention the refresh rate at 240 is really great too, for action movies, sports, it is totally noticeable the difference compared to our old TV.

This TV is amazing! This is the first 4K TV I've owned it also has high dynamic range that can be turned on and off but who would want to turn it off. It looks so real it doesn't feel like you're watching TV more like you're watching an actual event occur. The depth and perception provided by the high dynamic range feature is astonishing once you watch TV with these features you'll never go back to a lower model it's expensive but it is deffinatly worth it! HD has nothing on UHD! TRULY AMAZING TELIVISION EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!

I bought this to go with the new PS4 Pro. I wanted to do 4K HDR gaming. From my research this model listed as having a fast response time for online gaming. And it does! It also has a dedicated gaming mode that keeps HDR enabled. Watch out if you are looking for a new 4K gaming TV as some disable HDR while in gaming mode, which is silly since that is one of the best benefits of the PS4 Pro. TV also looks great on $k content I stream from my media server and from Netflix. Couldn't be happier with the purchase.

    Great minus Light-Bleed

Let me first say that I ultimately returned this tv. I downgraded as I am not in the budget range for OLED, and my research suggests I won't be happy with less at this point. I got a great Black Friday price on the 60KS8000, and do think it's a great tv. Unfortunately it is an Edge-Lit panel, which many of the 4K tvs are. There are advantages to this, one of which is it keeps them thin. However, the potential for "Light-Bleed" along the edges exists. I did not win the panel lottery with mine, and got a tv that had pretty bad Light Bleed along the bottom edge. I'd describe it as a "fade" which extended roughly half an inch to an inch up the screen, worse on the viewing-left than the right side. This was exacerbated by HDR programming and off-center viewing angles. You don't necessarily see this on the display models, but can sometimes look for it. Another word for it is Flashlighting. I certainly may have had a bad panel which Samsung would consider "outside of acceptable limits" but I did not want to go down the road of multiple return/exchanges, technician visits, and shipping hassles. I personally will wait for OLED prices to drop and see what 2017 has to offer with that technology. Assuming you get one wih no light-bleed, the picture really is fantastic and the input lag for console gaming, even under HDR conditions is great. It's very thin, but very heavy. You will want to mount it correctly with studs if you wall mount it. You the shopper also may not be turned off as much by the flashlighting effect along the top or bottom edge as much as I, but it honestly drove me crazy. If you are the type of person who would constantly be distracted by an imperfection on the screen, then you may want to consider other options. The chance exists that you get a panel with no issues, but then again, I got a pretty severe one and returned it. I hope my experience helps. If you have the budget, just go ahead and go OLED as it is a superior technology to back-lit/edge-lit LED whether IPS or VA panel.

It's just right. I got it on sale and its above and beyond the LG 50 inch I currently still have and moved to the kids family room. The upscale is great and the colors really pop. Netflix 4K is great but, the drawback is quantity of programming available. The smart connections are really what I was going for next to picture quality. I can control everything I own with it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants the bang for their buck. It really meets my needs and it didn't break the bank.

I'm not a geek and cannot talk the technical talk. In recent years I have gone from 40 inch Plasma to 50 inch LCD -regular HD to this 4k Ultra HD. This is the sharpest picture I have seen other than the $3000.00 and up models. I watch action movies and sports and am very happy with the results. Easy to use and nice Smart features. I was moving to new home and had Geek Squad help with wall mount and installation, so I cannot speak about setup. Great TV and Great Picture. Would recommend to all.

I read reviews before purchasing, Consumer Reports, rtings, cnet to name a few. Excellent picture, sharp crisp detail. Easy set up by Geek Squad. The smart features offer items I never watched before. Netflix,YouTube,Hulu,to name a few. Blue tooth capabilities! The tv was on sale and the staff at Bestbuy worked with me to bundle other items, stand, receiver, hdmi cords as well. Extremely happy so far!

Since this was such an expensive purchase I really did a lot of research on it. I believe the ratings.com and cnet reviews are pretty spot on. I bought this TV primarily to watch movies with the significant other and to play PS4 Pro games on it. This TV fits the bill perfectly. The only down side is that watching SD (regular dvds) on it is meh. You can notice the difference. Now I know this tv is meant for HD and 4k viewing but everyone has dvd's around. The 4k and HDR spoils you!

Love this TV. Standard Bluray, Netflix, etc. look excellent. Haven't tried a UHD HDR bluray disk yet. I don't use the TV apps because I want sound to come through receiver. When building, I only ran HDMI between the two devices in the wall. Receiver in separate room, so not an easy correction. If you want to use TV apps and have audio from another amp, you need a optical audio cable running from the TV to receiver along with HDMI. May be common sense, but an oversight I made.

I fell in love with the deep blacks of LG's OLEG TV but the price tag was a bit too much for me. So I guess you could say I "settled" for this Samsung UN60KS8000FXZA, but this TV is an amazing piece of technology and I'm so happy I went with it. The blacks, color and the contrast are outstanding. And at less than 1/2 the price. Set up is a breeze. Frankly I'm glad I didn't spend the extra money. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate, do it! You will not be disappointed.

I love the TV. 4k content definitely looks brighter and sharper than 1080p content. Good sound as well, especially for such a thin set. My one gripe is that they should have made a way to clear the memory, other than unplugging the unit or re-installing the app when it stops working (per Samsung tech support).

Wow, this is a fantastic TV. It's extremely thin, great picture, and a decent smart functionality. Be aware that it uses a separate dock to host all its ports which connects to the TV through one cable. This turned out to be extremely useful since we wall-mounted it and ran that cable through the wall. This let me plug everything into the TV down in the cabinet and have only 1 cable going up to the TV instead of several HDMI cables and an optical cable. This TV does have HDR, but be aware that the refresh rate is actually 120 Hz, NOT 240, no 4K tv is actually 240 Hz yet, it's just a marketing gimmick.
