Watching 4k videos is eye candy!! When watching 1080p, it is such a blur in comparison. Cable companies have to get on the 4k ball to make this TV worth purchasing. HDR is beautiful, even in 1080p. I might have bought it too soon, but it'll pay off as long as 4k stays alive!!! All in all, this is a gorgeous 4k TV to have...

The picture is fantastic even before tuning the settings. I still need to really adjust it to where I want, but it's a great picture. Wish the OLEDs were just a bit cheaper and came in a 60", but alas, this TV has a great picture. The only thing I don't really like is the chrome stand that sticks out like a sore thumb.

This is the first TV I bought since 2008. The HD takes a bit of getting used to, but I have come to like it. The remote is simple. At some point Samsung decided to follow the Apple model and make a remote with just a few buttons. Despite the complexity of the features, the simple remote works.
All in all, a great TV. I really enjoy watching it.
Here are the small things that keep it from getting five stars.
- The speakers are not impressive. At age 48 and having spent a couple of years around extremely loud noises in Iraq, I have to crank up the volume and make sure I have the right sound setting to be able to hear the dialogue clearly. I anticipate getting a home theater.
- Despite having paid top dollar for the best HD and color available, I still see pixelation when watching some shows. Not sure if this is because of the source or the TV, but it makes me wonder if I should have paid top dollar. When you view the TVs side by side in the store, the case to get this one is compelling. When you get it home, you wonder if the mid-level model would have been just as good.

We've had this TV for just shy of 1 year. We haven't had any problems at all. It was a great purchase and it gets used 24/7. We have Direct TV, Netflix and my boys play video games on it. The picture and sound are perfect. I would recommend this TV, it's a great value for the price.

This has been one of the best purchases I've made all year. My fiance & I have been absolutely blown away by the image this can produce after calibration. We have paired this with a Denon AVR-X1300W, PC & PS4 Pro. Whether we are gaming at 4k 60fps or simply streaming 4k youtube content, we still find ourselves commenting on the incredible depth presented by a brilliant wide color gamut. HDR compatability is headlined on many cheaper models, but I urge anyone interested in HDR to do the research. http://www.rtings.com/tv/tests/picture-quality/wide-color-gamut-rec-709-dci-p3-rec-2020 This is a great example with comparisons. Highly recommend this unit to anyone.

Great TV. Switched a 55' Series 6 to this one. The series 6 was more than ok, but you clearly notice the difference here. Better refresh rate, true HDR, deeper colors. Highly recommended.

After many weeks of research and price watching the opportune time came to purchase and for the money there may not be a better TV out there in this size range. I had considered two Sony 65" models, the 65X850 and 65X930 along with the Samsung that I purchased. The picture on the Samsung was the brightest and and clearest in the showroom and the 65" TV would have been overly wide for my stand and maybe just a bit too overwhelming for the room. Plus, I wanted to spend the money on a television, not a new stand.
One of the knocks by review sites on the Samsung was the loss of picture quality from a wider viewing angle. While viewing in the showroom from all angles we honestly did not notice a measurable loss of saturation.
Assembly was easy with only two legs to install. One nice thing about this model is that there are two leg placements to choose from, around 41" and 49". The narrower configuration fit nicely on my 48" wide stand. I had looked at Vizio earlier but they lost out quickly as the leg placement was too wide.
I also like the Samsung One Connect box and cable. This is a junction block that I placed on the next shelf down on the stand, hidden behind the soundbar. There is only one HDMI cable that runs from the TV to the box and all other accessories (soundbar, DVD player, cable HDMI) connect to that box. So, there are two cables total connected to the TV, one power and one HDMI.
I powered on the set and configuration was easy. The television recognized when I connected each component.
The picture was awesome right out of the box for the room that we're in. We have lights on behind us, not going for the dark theater effect. I have noticed that the picture actually darkens somewhat with less light but can be adjusted in the settings. The set really excels in a brighter room.
There is quite a nice array of apps already loaded, including Nextflix, Hulu, YouTube and Amazon. Some of the first things we watched were 4K shows on Nextflix and I had a difficult time paying attention to the content for watching how clear and crisp the picture is. It is almost like you are sitting in the same area where the director would be. It is that clear. I made the comment that some actors may not like the 4K format as the picture shows every detail.
Picture adjustments are easy to make if desired and there are also some preset configurations for sports and movies. This television is great for watching both. No blur with sports. I have noticed slight judder on a couple of cable TV stations but nothing too serious. For expert settings try www.rtings.com. They have listings for nearly every one of the new televisions.
The only complaint I have is that using the web browser with the included remote is a bit cumbersome. Samsung should offer an IOS app with keyboard to make it quicker and easier.
The sound from the TV isn't horrible but I would suggest purchasing an alternative sound source in an effort to make the sound match the great picture.
Overall this is a great television. If you have the room I would suggest checking the price of the 65" model. Although I was lucky enough to purchase mine at a great price, since Christmas the price of the 60" has been equal to or sometimes greater than the price of the 65".

I went to the store after reviewing ratings on many other TVs and the salesperson suggested this TV because he thought it was the best 60" TV on the market, so I spent the extra money on it. His advice was well-taken! We love the sleek look to the TV as well as the picture quality. You can see every wrinkle on faces and even though it is not a 3D TV, the picture looks 3D. We still haven't worked out how to fit the picture to the screen because we have been too busy, and my husband thinks the sound isn't great (sounds fine to me), but other than that, it's perfect. Samsung customer service was great too in assisting us with the set up.

Reviews put this TV near the top of the list of HDR compatible TVs. I was very impressed in store, and after a month in-home, it was the right choice. This has such a bright white point, it really literally shines! The black point is very black also. Colors are super rich. I would recommend a good pro calibration, as the colors aren't as accurate as they could be - this is not a negative criticism, just an observation. Overall, even with the default color choices (ie, Movie mode or Natural), the images are vivid and contrasty. Skin tones are good, detail is great on HD content. (Default or Demo colors modes are really too oversaturated for movie watching.) I don't have any HDR content to watch except some demo videos, but they looked great. The backlight is rated at 1000 nits, higher than some other HDR units, and it really makes movies look good and bright, even in a daylight room. I was initially concerned that the blacks would not be good because this is edge-lit instead of backlit with FALD (full array local dimming), but the only time there is noticeable bloom is when there is black background with white text or a logo, such as credits or opening sequences. During most movie/tv scenes, there is not often such a bright spot in the middle of a black field, so I don't see any problems. Viewing off-angle is pretty good - you can still clearly see the picture. Colors off angle shift and there is some backlight bleed, but it's viewable. On center viewing really is best.
One oddity is that Samsung says you can only display 2 hours at a time if you are watching classic format tv, ie 4 : 3 aspect ratio content. So, no classic Star Trek marathons, or else you might burn in the middle or sides too much? But, you could go and zoom the picture to fill the screen, which is not an easy 1 or 2 button change (like 'zoom' or 'wide' mode).
I do not use any of the built in apps, nor do I use the voice control on the remote, or even the suppied remote (I use a Harmony, easy to setup). Sound is handled through my reciever. So I am only commenting on picture quality.

I got this somewhat on a whim due to a colleague's recommendation because of the Black Friday deals going on at the time and I'm glad I did! I got this TV when it was selling for $1197.99, and as of now, I see it is selling for $1999.99 again. The color intensity, brightness, and motion clarity of this TV are excellent, just be sure to enable the HDR setting. The build quality and physical finish of the TV looks great too, it's very sleek and modern. The sound is good for internal TV speakers but I use it with a Samsung 2.1 soundbar anyway (HW-K450/ZA), which I also would recommend. For what I paid, I'm very satisfied with this TV.

This is my first 4K TV. Owned it for a little under a month so I will update this review later this year if need be. Overall, I'm very pleased with it. The picture quality is outstanding. I've mostly used it to play Xbox One (which I know doesn't support 4K output) and there is almost no input lag. I've watched some YouTube videos in 4K and it's stunning! Biggest flaw at this point is it's high price tag. I bought it on sale when the price was cut by about $400. If you're looking to save some money on a 4K TV, I'd suggest looking into 2015 models. Feel free to send along any specific questions about this TV and I will try to answer.

I've never been a person to put much stock in having a nice TV. I wear glasses and so I've always felt that because the image has to pass through the lens for me to see it, it canceled out all of the high end stuff we now have available. (Idk if that is true but it was the excuse I used) everything changed when we got this TV set up. My mind is blown with how crisp and clear things are. I've never watched football on tv and felt like I was on the sidelines. This was the tv! MMy boyfriend and I couldn't be happier with this purchase. We've already decided to host the super bowl party this year...
Mostly to show off our tv!
