Iffy sound controls

I saw the reviews, but there were claims of fixes when this occured... I have attempted all the fixes, my sound is stuck at 10, not lower, not higher... and all the updates that have come through over the 3 years we have owned this TV have STILL not fixed this bug, which amazes Mr since it was a known issue BEFORE we purchased, and evidently some people have found solutions.
