Bought this TV less than a month ago and it has a lot of backlight bleeding, also this TV doesn't support Dolby vision, sadly don't have the box anymore otherwise I will return it.I could have bought a TCL or Hisense and probably get better picture without spending 1300 on this set.

    Loving my new Samsung!

Samsung never disappoints! Love everything about this t.v! Was originally going to purchase a QLED but I decided to go with this new Samsung NU8000 that they came out with. I absolutely love it. Amazing quality all around. I love how you use the Samsung remote to control everything (including game consoles) makes it so much easier. It also has built in WiFi which is a plus. This t.v has 4 speakers and 1 sub woof. So worth every penny! Couldn’t be happier!

    Great value for a non-videophile

I was in the middle of my research when my non-smart Sony Wega finally passed. The motherboard started to go so I began to do as much research as possible; so when the lamp finally gave out I was ready. I'd been researching the Samsung, Sony, and LG 65" TVs to determine which one I was going to buy. I visited the local Best Buy 3-4 times to talk to the guys in the TV section; they were VERY Helpful. I went with the Samsung because the color is simply brilliant; and that wasn't even the top or high mid-line model. Side by side with the next model up you could actually see the difference in color and sharpness; but another $5-600 in price (tv, warranty and tax) just didn't make sense since I knew I wouldn't even be able to tell when it was alone in my family room. The only hiccough was the remote went wonky and wouldn't connect so I called Samsung and they are sending a replacement. The quality of the color and the depth of the picture is amazing, you actually feel like you are there. I've read reviews about people having to tweak and adjust colors to get it perfect; but mine looked great right out of the box - but like I said I'm not a videophile. If you are an average Joe looking for good quality and a decent deal this set was a great bargain - it's already marked down about $400-500 from it's original listing of $1700+ and if you watch they'll pair it with a sound bar for an even better deal. I would recommend a sound bar if you don't already have one - these new TVs with the speakers in the back are tough to hear; plus with the sound bar pushing the sound forward, I can be watching an action movie with the sound blowing my hair back and no one upstairs can hear the TV because of speakers are facing away from the door!

60" Sharp TV died so went to get another 60" and saw this 65" Samsung and knew this one the one I had to get... This is a 2018 model. Pros: Set up is easy, Color is vivid, picture is amazing and realistic. Like sitting in a movie theater. Cons: Remote takes some getting used to but once you figured it out it is easy to work. Sound could be better but with a sound bar the sound is perfect. Would recommend it to anyone...

Excellent Mid Class 4k UHD TV

First off, I got this on a black Friday sale (2018), and I haven't seen the price matched anywhere since. So if you're buying this TV under 1K I would highly recommend it! I read all the reviews here and other sites and went to the local best buy to check out my options. Side by side with the next QLED model, I personally didn't see much of a difference for the price. Of course, the higher the model, the more differences you'll see. For my budget, and for my TV usage, the NU8000 model (65 inch) was perfect. I don't watch much TV outside of Netflix. However, the 4k stuff I've streamed looks incredible. I do play PS4 quite a bit, this TV really handles well for gaming. (Be sure to check your HDR settings on your PS4, the games itself, and adjust to your liking). I did tinker with settings forever to get that perfect color/brightness etc. The built in sound is pretty great too. Sure you can add a soundbar, but for my tiny apartment, I definitely don't need one. Sounds amazing. Okay, so the cons... I got this with a 0 interest credit card, and on sale, so the price was right for me. I don't know if I'd be completely happy at full retail value, and would recommend upgrading to QLED if you're really into hi-def 4k tv watching. The other con I would say is the built in software. Bixby is great, and the remote control is really easy to use, but seeing ads for SLING in my menu gets tiresome really quickly. And the WHITE colored background can be brighter than the sun in the summer on Mercury if you're watching TV in the dark. Other than that, I am extremely happy with this purchase. I can't get too technical about it, but go to the store and check it out. It's a great and simple design, and I love the built in cord management it has. Good luck and I hope this info was helpful for your decision.

    Great Value UHD TV

Here's the bad news: This Samsung doesn't have the incredible, looking-through-the-glass picture quality of the high-priced and highly rated LG OLED TV. Here's the good news: It doesn't have the price tag of that OLED TV. If you're in the market for a high-quality UHD TV that is more reasonably priced than the top-tier sets, this Samsung is definitely worth considering. The picture is sharp, with rich contrast and deep blacks. I watch a lot of sports, and there's very little motion drag. It's not the picture of an OLED or a QLED, but it's exceptional. The set itself is sleek. It's remarkably thin for a 65-inch set, and the bezels are small. If you're using a stand, it's easy to set up, It juts out from the front of the set a bit, but it's okay for my TV cabinet. As is becoming more common, the remote control is minimalist, with no digits and only a few buttons. It took a couple of minutes to figure out the volume is button is an up/down motion, not a press down. It wasn't intuitive. The setup itself was super easy and took only a few minutes. Samsung has impressively simplified the initial start up. There are higher quality 4K TVs that you can buy. If you don't want to shell out high dollars, this TV is a great value.

Rtings.com gives this TV an 8.1 rating as well as 8.1 for Samsung's Q6 but for $249, it is not worth the so-called upgrade. This is a safe purchase. There is no vertical banding. You get a plain and bright white screen when shown. The colors are bright and vibrant. There are many sites on YouTube which demonstrate the TV's 4K capabilities. My 2009 Panasonic Plasma did have slightly better blacks, but the NU8000 out shines the Plasma in all other ways. Here is my conclusion on other TV't test. TCL 6 series: Banding NU71000: motion and brightness Vizio D series: motion, brightness and OS. The NU8000 was given a slightly better 4K TV when compared to all other 4K televisions for 2018, but CNET gives an additional rating for value which is why they give a high rating to the TCL 6 series. However, now that the NU8000 is selling for $899 and you have a superior panel over the TCL, there is no contest in my opinion. The colors on the NU8000, for example, are superior and more accurate than other 4K TV's in this category. Don't worry about an extended warranty. Save your money for a future TV. Highly recommended.

I looked at a number of reviews before I purchased this TV. I was not originally interested in Samsung because of the One Connect box that had to be used. The NU8000 does not have the one connect so I started to consider it. I read multiple reviews and CAE down to the Visio P series, the Sony 850F and this Samsung. After looking and evaluating what I needed the samsung won out due to price and reliability. The picture is outstanding. I don’t care much a bout the sound quality since I use a full surround sound system which connected and works with no issues. I did adjust the color and picture settings to my liking partially based on the RTINGS setting suggestions. I cant stream well in my area due to limited internet so I can’t count on delay lags in that area. Blu-ray looks outstanding with the samsung up scaling. I was frankly surprised at the quality. Sports are excellent with no movement blur and almost a 3D quality to the image.

I went to the store wanting 70" minimum, only to find out that 75" is actually the standard and those were simply out of my budget. So I started looking at the 65" models and settled on this one. This one had the best combination of features and specs. I wanted, as well as a beautiful picture. It was easy to set up and super intelligent about discovering my cable converter box and sound bar. The smart apps are fantastic, and lightning fast to load, navigate, and start the show you select. I really enjoy being able to use the bixby features of the remote and want to learn more about using them effectively. The picture is gorgeous! It's amazing how much more clear it was than my 2-3 yr. old Samsung 58" LED! Watching the same shows I yam now seeing them in ways that I never had before! The picture is simply beautiful. I have already recommended this TV to a friend that is in the market right meow.

This TV has outdone All my expectations, this is my second 4K TV 2 years ago I bought the 65 in UHD 7000 series. There are great improvements over the past couple of years, the improved local dimming, HDR Graphics have a greater contrast, the depth and expanse of color is literally mind-blowing. This TV takes my Xbox One X to the next level, I would say is at least a 30% Improvement and Graphics over the UHD 7 series from 2017. I recommend this TV to anyone The Hub is excellent the processor is extremely fast, switching from Netflix to Hulu or regular TV is seamless. The apps allow for 4K viewing of Netflix and 4K viewing of Hulu and other apps, it allows you to maximize the use of this TV. Connecting and controlling all your electronics is a snap, with its intelligent remote. I can turn my Xbox One X on and off and control movies and do virtually everything on my Xbox with it, same thing with my stereo system and cable box. The voice control works seamlessly either finding movies changing channels are maneuvering through my favorite apps. Samsung definitely hit a homerun with this TV, it's a step ahead of the competition and well worth every penny

This tv is great for the price. It gives some astounding colors without being saturated. However I thought I saw some motion blur which could've been my internet provider (I stream all my content). For the price I wasn't ok with this being a problem. I ended up taking it back and tried a Sony. Immediately regretted it and packed up my second 65" tv in two weeks. After the Sony though, I realized I wanted the vibrant colors Samsung had to offer. The uhd tv is really good, it's not qled but whatever you're doing the picture will look great. After upgrading my wifi router I haven't had an orobkems with the q6 so it seems my internet could've been the problem when I owned this tv. It has a really easy setup, took about 25minutes from cutting the tape to stashing the box and logging into all my streaming services. Tv comes with a simple but useful remote that makes it easy to use and navigate. I would recommend this tv to anyone that doesn't want to justify the $2500+ for a nice sized qled.

From all of the research I have done into picking out our first 4k TV I have to say ours is so far pretty amazing. I was trying to purchase honestly the last year model the MU8000, but we wanted a TV that day and decided to get the NU8000. Compared to our Sony 55 inch HD TV it is quite amazing. The interface / os is very responsive, no lagg issues, and is very snappy in being responsive. Unlike our Sony Android os smart tv.... was extremely buggy, laggy, and at times unresponsive to the point that restarting the tv was regular and still very laggy. The Sony had great potential but the problems with the os really was a nasty draw back in its performance. At this moment only time will tell , but so far our experience has been much better than our previous purchase. The view really is quite well done and I cant imagine anyone having problems with the NU8000.

I had this tv for about 2 months so far, crisp picture, great colors and user friendly. The style of the tv is very nice and the cable storage in the back is very useful. I also love the universal remote, may reviews complained about the remote but I actually prefer this small remote with fewer buttons than the typical tv remote with so many buttons that are never frequently used. You can perform all the actions required, I control the tv, roku streamer and the soundbar with this single remote. Things to be aware of: You do notice the picture quality drops when you watch from the side, I was aware of this when researching online reviews and it is noticeable, so it is something to consider based on your room configuration viewing angles etc. but I would say not a deal breaker. Another thing, the picture brightness kept dimming whenever I was watching any programs with dark scenes, played with settings and turned the feature off but the tv still would lower the brightness in certain scenes, after I connected a roku streamer to the tv the problem went away, not sure if this related to the input signal configuration. Overall I would definitely recommend this tv, since the benefits significantly outweigh any minor issues.

I am very please with my purchase. The picture quality is great. HD and UHD videos look great. Even though not as much 4K content is available as I'd like the content that is available is awesome. More 4K content will soon be available so I'm not worried about that. I love "smart" functionality of the smart tv. It's very easy to use. The speakers aren't the best sound for a living room but that can be easily fixed with a sound bar. In a bedroom where I have my tv setup the speaks do their job. Its user interface is very smooth and responsive. No lag once so ever. Tv turnes kn and off with in a second of pressing the power button, so no waiting. Overall I love my tv and would recommend buying this same TV as you get great picture quality and dont have to break the bank as you would on a QLED tv
