It has only been 2 years and there’s a streak line on the right side corner of the tv. Looks like this tv is about to go out soon.

Bought this TV less than a month ago and it has a lot of backlight bleeding, also this TV doesn't support Dolby vision, sadly don't have the box anymore otherwise I will return it.I could have bought a TCL or Hisense and probably get better picture without spending 1300 on this set.

Dayronflorida,
Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. Our 2018 NU8 series support the new HDR10+ format, an exciting scene based dynamic tone mapping technology. It automatically matches the dynamic range of the content to the TV on a scene-by-scene basis to maximize the capabilities of the TV, providing the best possible picture.
Again, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to hear from you soon.

Samsung never disappoints! Love everything about this t.v! Was originally going to purchase a QLED but I decided to go with this new Samsung NU8000 that they came out with. I absolutely love it. Amazing quality all around. I love how you use the Samsung remote to control everything (including game consoles) makes it so much easier. It also has built in WiFi which is a plus. This t.v has 4 speakers and 1 sub woof.
So worth every penny! Couldn’t be happier!

60" Sharp TV died so went to get another 60" and saw this 65" Samsung and knew this one the one I had to get... This is a 2018 model.
Pros: Set up is easy, Color is vivid, picture is amazing and realistic. Like sitting in a movie theater.
Cons: Remote takes some getting used to but once you figured it out it is easy to work. Sound could be better but with a sound bar the sound is perfect.
Would recommend it to anyone...

This tv is great for the price. It gives some astounding colors without being saturated. However I thought I saw some motion blur which could've been my internet provider (I stream all my content). For the price I wasn't ok with this being a problem. I ended up taking it back and tried a Sony. Immediately regretted it and packed up my second 65" tv in two weeks. After the Sony though, I realized I wanted the vibrant colors Samsung had to offer. The uhd tv is really good, it's not qled but whatever you're doing the picture will look great. After upgrading my wifi router I haven't had an orobkems with the q6 so it seems my internet could've been the problem when I owned this tv.
It has a really easy setup, took about 25minutes from cutting the tape to stashing the box and logging into all my streaming services. Tv comes with a simple but useful remote that makes it easy to use and navigate. I would recommend this tv to anyone that doesn't want to justify the $2500+ for a nice sized qled.

Upgraded to this 65” Samsung led from an older 48” lcd and can’t believe how good the picture looks and how well the online smart programming works.
Simple to install and set up with only requiring the power cable to be plugged in and follow steps to set up WiFi. Netflix, xfininty and other online apps were easy to install and use.
Remote is simply and powerful, even has voice utilization.
Only downside is the beta xfininty app froze a couple times but worked with simply restarting the tv (app development issue but hey, it’s still a beta version so can’t really complain too bad).
Overall this is an excellent and amazing quality television and well worth the price we paid!

For $900 this is one heck of a TV. Great size, awesome picture. its is very very thin if you were to use a wall mount(I haven't yet). Very easy to use interface. Syncs with all my devices. I can use the tv remote to control my cable box (with ease even though there as far fewer buttons on this smart remote.) and my JBL sound bar system. Quick set-up. Base was a little goofy to assemble, the directions could have been more direct. However it is a solid stand (The tv is huge). Love it so far!

Here's the bad news: This Samsung doesn't have the incredible, looking-through-the-glass picture quality of the high-priced and highly rated LG OLED TV.
Here's the good news: It doesn't have the price tag of that OLED TV.
If you're in the market for a high-quality UHD TV that is more reasonably priced than the top-tier sets, this Samsung is definitely worth considering.
The picture is sharp, with rich contrast and deep blacks. I watch a lot of sports, and there's very little motion drag. It's not the picture of an OLED or a QLED, but it's exceptional.
The set itself is sleek. It's remarkably thin for a 65-inch set, and the bezels are small. If you're using a stand, it's easy to set up, It juts out from the front of the set a bit, but it's okay for my TV cabinet.
As is becoming more common, the remote control is minimalist, with no digits and only a few buttons. It took a couple of minutes to figure out the volume is button is an up/down motion, not a press down. It wasn't intuitive.
The setup itself was super easy and took only a few minutes. Samsung has impressively simplified the initial start up.
There are higher quality 4K TVs that you can buy. If you don't want to shell out high dollars, this TV is a great value.

Rtings.com gives this TV an 8.1 rating as well as 8.1 for Samsung's Q6 but for $249, it is not worth the so-called upgrade.
This is a safe purchase. There is no vertical banding. You get a plain and bright white screen when shown. The colors are bright and vibrant. There are many sites on YouTube which demonstrate the TV's 4K capabilities. My 2009 Panasonic Plasma did have slightly better blacks, but the NU8000 out shines the Plasma in all other ways.
Here is my conclusion on other TV't test.
TCL 6 series: Banding
NU71000: motion and brightness
Vizio D series: motion, brightness and OS.
The NU8000 was given a slightly better 4K TV when compared to all other 4K televisions for 2018, but CNET gives an additional rating for value which is why they give a high rating to the TCL 6 series. However, now that the NU8000 is selling for $899 and you have a superior panel over the TCL, there is no contest in my opinion. The colors on the NU8000, for example, are superior and more accurate than other 4K TV's in this category.
Don't worry about an extended warranty. Save your money for a future TV. Highly recommended.

Have been using a 50” Panasonic Plasma over the past 10 years and it has been an excellent television. Decided it was time to step up into a larger screen size and UHD and 4K. After extensive research between Samsung, Visio, and LG, I settled on the Samsung NU8000 in a 65 inch size. Based my decision on wanting a 4K TV with an actual refresh rate of 120 Hz since I watch a lot of sports and was told that is what is needed to avoid blur and other issues with fast moving action.
First the Pros, this TV was very easy to remove from the box and get setup. Really like the stand and it allows you to hide the cables more than some of the competition’s models. TV gets a great picture on network TV shows that are HD and does a good job of upscaling any SD and 720p programming. Sound is acceptable although I did buy a Samsung soundbar at the same time for a better experience.
Now the Cons, while HD TV shows and movies look great on this Samsung, I am a little underwhelmed with the picture on sports which is one of the reasons I chose this TV for the 120 Hz refresh rate. Have been watching the NCAA Basketball March Madness tournaments and the image does some weird things, sort of jumpy and just not smooth movement on fast moving objects. Not as bad on PGA golf. Will say that it is a lot less noticeable on baseball games that I have watched. Have tried every possible setting in the Auto Motion Plus for the Judder and Blur settings and nothing seems to really make a difference. I know this isn’t a $2500 OLED but I was expecting better for some of the programming I watch often.

I've wanted a larger TV for a while, but I'm very picky about what I wanted in said TV. I researched online and Samsung was always my go to brand. I saw a deal at BestBuy for this TV and went to check out this model and the next model up version of this TV. I'm admittedly not an expert on TVs by any means but I needed enough HDMI ports, wanted a smart TV, wanted a 4K TV, it needed to have good quality sound, and it had to be at least 65 inches. So I looked at both models with the BestBuy employee who told me all about this model and the next gen higher quality model. I compared the price differential and had to go with this TV. I got home, mounted it on my wall, and have enjoyed every minute of using it since we purchased it. I would highly recommend this TV to anybody! It's fast, it's got great color, great sound, easy to mount, and works in tandem with my Samsung Galaxy S9 phone through Bixby and the SmartThings app. You can't go wrong with this TV!

Great value for a non-videophile

I was in the middle of my research when my non-smart Sony Wega finally passed. The motherboard started to go so I began to do as much research as possible; so when the lamp finally gave out I was ready. I'd been researching the Samsung, Sony, and LG 65" TVs to determine which one I was going to buy. I visited the local Best Buy 3-4 times to talk to the guys in the TV section; they were VERY Helpful. I went with the Samsung because the color is simply brilliant; and that wasn't even the top or high mid-line model. Side by side with the next model up you could actually see the difference in color and sharpness; but another $5-600 in price (tv, warranty and tax) just didn't make sense since I knew I wouldn't even be able to tell when it was alone in my family room. The only hiccough was the remote went wonky and wouldn't connect so I called Samsung and they are sending a replacement.
The quality of the color and the depth of the picture is amazing, you actually feel like you are there. I've read reviews about people having to tweak and adjust colors to get it perfect; but mine looked great right out of the box - but like I said I'm not a videophile. If you are an average Joe looking for good quality and a decent deal this set was a great bargain - it's already marked down about $400-500 from it's original listing of $1700+ and if you watch they'll pair it with a sound bar for an even better deal.
I would recommend a sound bar if you don't already have one - these new TVs with the speakers in the back are tough to hear; plus with the sound bar pushing the sound forward, I can be watching an action movie with the sound blowing my hair back and no one upstairs can hear the TV because of speakers are facing away from the door!
