I have been doing so much research on TV's my mind was going to explode. I finally decided on this one and couldn't be happier. Its setup in my bedroom so low light is no problem at all. Hooked up to PS4 pro and omgoodness the colors and clarity of some of the Planet Earth and Blue Planet shows. I rented the movie alpha to stream in 4k and my gf was blow away by the visuals.
The remote is amazing it actually can control just about everything on my ps4 as well as my other devices but the ps4 was a big extra for me.

When viewing a 4K movie, the picture quality is awesome. Finding 4K movies to stream is a different story. I'm currently trying VUDU. It only costs you when you rent a movie. Picture quality for watching normal TV is good except for when very dark scenes. The TV seems to try very hard to manipulate the darkness and a weird shadowing/pixelated affect seems to occur. While originally distracting... I recognize that the UHD 4K TV is attempting to compensate for shows that are less than optimal. Also, when they say whites are whites... boy is that true. There are some scenes that are so bright that I nearly have to shut my eyes due to the sensitivity they have to bright lights. That being said, I continue to enjoy the quality of this TV and wouldn't change a thing. If I could... I probably would give it a 4.5 stars. And that is primarily the result of there being insufficient 4K TV shows or movies that are available to use on the TV. However, I'm confident that more 4K movies are coming.

Great TV, weak WiFi

We were excited to upgrade to this larger TV with 4K and use the included smart features and apps. The layout of our home does not allow for the WiFi router to be very close to our livingroom, so our TV would either not connect or lose connection constantly. I had to hook up our Amazaon Fire TV (which received WiFi with no problem) to watch Netflix, etc. So be sure your WiFi is close enough, or it won't keep connection. We had to buy an entirely new Wifi mesh home system for the TV native apps to work properly. The size and quality of the screen are absolutely wonderful. Big, bold, and sharp 4K. Beautiful to look at!

I had basic requirements that turned into a challenging search for a new TV. I wanted 65”, 120hz true refresh rate and a fast smart OS. Sony has a terrible OS from experience and the TCL is only 60hz despite their marketing team’s best efforts to promote otherwise. LG is not as well rated unless you go OLED but I don’t want to have to worry about burn in. So the Samsung made sense and I was very close to getting the Q7. I do not regret getting the Q6. Picture is crisp and well colored. Brightness is spot on.

This is our first big screen TV. We couldn’t be happier with our choice. The picture is very impressive, set up was super easy and it syncs to the Samsung sound bar automatically. Still learning how to make the most of all the features. Netflix, amazon, HBO all accessible. We are watching all of our favorite shows and movies with amazing color and sound like never before! We have never had such a great TV experience before. Well within our budget because Best Buy has the best sales!

Excellent picture, excellent price, excellent features.
The perfect upgrade for this household. Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, all built in. Paired perfectly with the samsung bluray player and sound bar all their "anyconnect" stuff connects and acts as if it's one system. The only thing that desyncs the system is when the switch detects itself on the dock, and powers up the TV... the soundbar doesn't auto power on.

First, I'm upgrading from a 10 year old plasma tv, so needless to say, the picture looks amazing to me by comparison.
But, I am constantly being prompted to rent movies when ever I turn on the tv because of Samsung's proprietary "Universal Guide App." It's not subtle - the prompt takes up the bottom half of the screen while trying to navigate to the intended channel or app.
You will have to exit out of the screen (pic below) before you are able to watch what you are wanting to watch. These ads will come up each time you turn the tv on, or hit the home button (which you need to do to operate a majority of the tv functions).
The app was billed as a one-stop app for aggregating all of your favorite shows from Netflix or Amazon Prime or YouTube TV (I'm a recent Cord Cutter). This is not correct. Instead, whenever the tv is turned on or you hit the home screen, the app's rental advertisements launch from the home screen prompting you to rent a "recommended" movie for $2.99 - $4.99. I've researched this, and there is no way to turn this feature off.
A Samsung forum dedicated to complaining about the app is here:
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/TVs/Universal-Guide-App/td-p/395635
Be forewarned, Samsung does not let you turn this feature off.
Best Buy does not really allow you to test the tv interfaces, so I'm checking at other stores to see what I want to get when I return this set. The user interface really ruins what could be an otherwise great product.
But the picture looks nice (they all do).

Brand response from Samsung

CordCutterChris,
The Universal Guide is not an app, but rather a setting as a guide across all sources. It is designed to bring your favorite content from multiple devices and apps together in one easy-to-browse menu. It recommends popular shows and can even make custom recommendations tailored just for you.
Again, thank you for your feedback and for being a Samsung customer.

Always owned Samsung TVs bought an LG OLED and returned it two days later for this Samsung. Picture quality and functionality on the LG not even close to this Samsung. Excellent TV. Easy set up walks you through the entire set up process including your DVD, audio receiver etc and recognizes them Excellent functionality, easy to use and navigate your apps and switch sources. Has an ambient mode if you want to put up artwork on the screen when not watching tv.
Excellent picture quality, lots of depth, bright crisp and vivid colors.

Amazing picture! I have a Samsung 65" 4K UHD TV that's just over a year old and when we moved to our new house, we needed an additional TV for a second living room and this TV did not disappoint! Amazing picture all the features are easy to use and it hooked up to my home network and Amazon FireCube with no problem. It's incredibly thin and again I can't say enough about the picture - QLED rocks!

I purchased this TV for our upstairs entertainment living room. At almost $2k, it was by far the most expensive TV we'd ever purchased. My wife was irritated that I spent that for "just a TV" as she put it, and then I turned it on. She (and I) were both shocked how crisp and bright the screen was when compared to our other Samsung LED TVs (a 55" and 42"). Now she wants to replace all of our TVs and I'm the one saying "No" lol
The TV has a sleek design and intuitive on-screen menu. Little issue with finding the advanced TV settings (simply select the "Settings" button instead of scrolling up into the Settings sub-categories). Switching between various HMDI ports is easy and the ports tell you exactly what is plugged into it so you don't have to remember which device HMDI2 goes to, etc. The speakers on the TV have surprising range and sound great for being stock speakers. I already have a sound bar or else I'd have no problem just running off them. As with every other TV I've seen, the TruMotion 120 or whatever setting is Meh, but until TV signals are broadcast in higher refresh rates having software try to "fill in the gaps" will always seem off. But that little software fail is the only issue I've ran into.
Love Love Love this TV. Need someone to send me $4k so I can buy two more!

We have had this for 4 weeks now and we couldn't be happier. The picture is beautiful and the set-up was easy. We didn't even scan for the channels. It just did it automatically. The only negative is that it won't let us watch CBS.com on the browser, so we just connect a laptop to an HDMI port. The voice controlled remote is fun and easy to use.

I was a bit nervous spending almost $1800.00 an a new TV but the quality and sharpness of the product you can't beat. Easy to setup and even that it's an entry level QLED it's got all the features. Remote easy to use replacing my harmony $150.00 universal remote. I an using the TW-J5500 tower speakers with TV Connect and they work great.

I'll admit, I was nervous as heck, but it was real easy to set up. Initial set up is simple, just follow the prompts. It wanted me to access my Samsung account, but I could not get the on screen keyboard to come up. Anyway, it did not matter. I think it was to register the TV with Samsung. I did it from my Laptop later on. I was up and running in an hour or less. I also added Fire TV Stick 4K after the TV setup was complete. Make sure you access the TV's settings to customize it for your room. After that, sit back and enjoy. The picture is excellent and the sound is real good right out of the box. I have a surround system in my TV room, so I am connected to the sound system with an optical cable from the TV. Just needed to go into the TV settings and change the sound settings from TV speakers to external/optical. I upgraded my Internet service to the Max before I had the TV delivered so I have not had any issues with streaming. Every once in a while I get a "pause" situation for a half a minute or so, but that's the Internet, not the TV. It's a great TV with a Super picture. Got it for a good price too. So far so good.

I purchased this tv last week and it exceeded my expectations. The picture is amazing and the features are awesome. The remote acts as a universal remote and set up is so easy. Another feature that I like is that it automatically programs anything you put in the hdmi ports. This purchase won’t disappoint you.

I am very impressed with this television, from the quality of the picture to the speed of the Processor. I went from a 55" LG to this 65" and I thought 65 inches would be too big but it is perfect. The TV is very sleek and slim, it is not overwhelming an big. I have it connected to my Yamaha receiver which is a 4K pass through using HDMI and it goes to all of my devices from the receiver, I am very impressed at how it has synced on its own. This truly is a smart TV. I can't wait until there are more 4K options available on cable/satellite. The picture looks as good as what is coming in or how it was filmed... so some shows are not the best, but Netflix and Amazon prime are awesome in 4K. I am looking to get this QLED in 49" for my bedroom.

My previous set was a 52" PIONEER PLASMA TV, which I owned for 10 years before it finally died ----- and I'll have to admit, THAT was a very sad day, because the plasma sets by Pioneer were just fantastic! However, I did a lot of "looking around" before deciding on the SAMSUNG....particularly because I NEVER LIKED the LCD TV's from a few years ago....and, quite honestly, avoided them like the plague, because of their "unnatural" images. I will have to admit however that the quality of the SAMSUNG is exceeding my expectations. My only CRITICISM of these new sets however, is that they really DON'T come with ANY information on them, as previous sets did. Of course, this is (supposedly) because of their "smart" installation....but I DID have a few problems as far as "syncing" it to my PIONEER ELITE receiver....but a friend who works for FRONTIER (their TV division) kindly came over and resolved this for me. But....WHAT ELSE CAN ISAY? ----- I think it would be a terrific choice for anyone considering "upgrading" their current television!

I'm coming from a Vizio that had blooming issues and I even saw it on the Vizio 'P' I was considering and quickly jumped to this because of it. No issues at all. True 4K UHD shows on Netflix look great. PS4 Pro looks great. The Smart hub features are fine too but running apps like Netflix and HBO Now are easier than PS4 so I use it all the time now. It's super thin too so it looks very sleek. Setup with TVs these days are laughable easy too. The HDR is so good that the Sun in games or shows almost hurts your eyes. Worth it to move up from Vizio especially for the details around the edges and in blacks.

After 18 years of watching a Sony projection TV, we decided to upgrade to a new flat screen LED TV. One trip to my local Best Buy, where I could view multiple LED screens side-by-side, across multiple brands, convinced me the Samsung QLED would be an excellent choice. Even next to the one step down Samsungs, this TV stood out like no other. Although slightly less sharp in picture quality than the LG OLED, it was considerably less expensive. In addition, Best Buy was offering the set with a substantial discount. Given all these factors, the Samsung 65-inch QLED was the most logical choice. Set up instructions via Best Buy videos were easy to follow and we were viewing our new set within minutes. We've now had the TV for 3 weeks and couldn't be happier! A great buy!
