Purchased this TV and had it for maybe 4 hrs and two dark spots appeared in the middle of the screen. After doing some research it looks like this has been an ongoing issue with Samsung TVs. I have three other 4K Samsung TV's and never had an issue. Was really disappointed that this TV had issues.

This TV is everything it is made out to be. Picture is incredible when viewing 8K or 4K content. The upscaling from SD content is quite good as well, bit leaves some to be desired. Anti glare technology works fantastic. Very easy set up. The blooming when there is color on otherwise dark background is not good. Hardly noticeable when viewing straight on, but clearly is when viewing at an angle. A soundbar will be necessary eventually, but the sound from TV is not horrible.

Absolutely love this television, but it is lacking on the speakers/sound. Added a Samsung sound bar and I was satisfied. The picture is so clear and almps5 life-like, especially for a person with vision issues. Was worth the price.

Excellent TV. Very easy to set up. Very impressed with the sound and do not use my surround system as often as a result. The room I have the TV in is very bright and the Samsung is very good at not showing glare and adjusting to a brightness that is perfect whether it is day or night.

This QLED 8K was purchased to replace a 3-year old LG OLED that had developed an outrageous amount of burn-in (due to normal usage unlike what they want you to believe). I am satisfied with the high quality of the Q800T picture, better than I expected. The only big difference is a reduced quality as compared to OLED when viewing from an angle. Also, the Samsung remote has been oversimplified which requires more button-pushing to get things done. Bring the 0-9 digits back, please. One more thing, I saw a review done by a reputable source that said the out-of-box settings on the Q800T were way off and needed recalibration. No longer true. Samsung must have fixed this because the out-of-box settings on mine match what the reviewer recommended. At Best Buy's suggestion I mated this TV with a Q70 sound bar and that really worked out great for a quality audio experience.

I have this TV for a couple of months now and I have an excellent impression about it. I bought this TV to upgrade from a 55" older Samsung with the now obsoleted smart hub application. What I like on this TV is the availability of applications compare to other brands. There is basically an application for each streaming service, including HBO Max, Kanopy or Mubi. There is not too much 8K content available for now, but there are some videos on YouTube and image is of great quality. Never had problems with the WiFi connection. The only problem I had was with the remote which was echoing keys, but I called Samsung customer service and they sent me another one. Talkin about remote, I always like the simplicity of new remote with minimum of keys and navigation based on screen. The TV (and its remote) can also control my sound system (Denon) and the cable box, it even displays information from guide to your screen.

So second round of getting this tv because the first was cracked and had lines the first time i had it set up. Got a new one shipped to me. Thank you best buy. The tv is pretty good for all around use so far good fps, great view angles and high picture quality. Gives of heat like crazy. Kinda lame that only 1 of the hdmi is 2.1, but make up for it by putting the hdmi on the right side, makes it easier for me to alternate my playstation and xbox since i’m right handed. Comes with voice control which i haven’t used a ton but its still cool. The remote is stream lined, compact, and versatile. All in all i would wait for the price to drop a bit. But i just wanted to be ahead of the curb

I initially had the q900ts then decided it wasn't worth the price at the time, then tried the LG GX then I settled on the Q800t. It's a compromise between those two tvs I previously had. The Q900ts was my favorite for sure. Upscaling non 4k content was really great and the panel I got was great. On the Q800t, upscaling is still great but the panel is just not as good. Local dimming is also a downgrade from the Q900ts and LG GX. But I needed a brighter panel for my set up, the LG was not bright enough. I always had to tinker with the settings. Anyways, for the price I got the Q800t (cheaper than the GX and Q900ts), I can't complain that much. It's a great tv in my opinion.

full disclosure: I LOVE Samsung products so I am a bit biased? I am an avid gamer and i am a total nerd.. i know there are better brands out there, but Samsung just seems to do everything... better.. so, my first impressions were "WOW".. just WOW.. the super sleek design, the way everything looks and feels just screams quality to me.. the picture quality is just as good as the build quality, I have a PS4 PRO and a Nintendo Switch currently hooked up to it and O..M..G.. i had a 58 inch Samsung UHD 4k flatscreen TV before this one that was brand new in 2018 and IT looked great.. but it couldnt quite provide stable UHD and 4k.. it also had latency issues.. it was a GREAT TV for movies, but not for gaming.. The "Q" series is meant for gaming and just all around high quality viewing.. if you can afford it, get it.. you will not be dissapointed! my basic verdict? if you are a gamer, and can afford it.. GET IT.. just get this TV.. you need it in your life.. its not too heavy either. truthfully, i am having a hard time finding anything i dont like about it yet.. i am biased to like Samsung as they make a superior quality product?

This has been a great tv thus far. It looks phenomenal with a PlayStation 5. I watched Mad Max Fury Road right away and it was incredible. The only downside is it comes with the minimalist Samsung remote. It's okay, but doesn't have a source button, which can be annoying. Luckily though, the remote for my previous tv works perfectly fine with this one. Probably the best of the mid budget tvs on the market right now. This is last year's model, so it may go on and off sale. 5 Stars, Great Product.

Of course it’s an amazing tv! Hard to complain, I’ve had no issues with it yet personally. Certainly creates spectacular picture with 4K up scaling but Is it worth the price? No. Not yet anyways. Unless you really want to get ahead of the game it’s just not worth it, wait till 8k content comes out. There simply is no content out there unless you play 3rd party downloaded content thats mostly just to test it.

I've only had the Q800t 8K for a little less than a month now. First thing, I've had to constantly tweak the picture settings, because out of the box settings were not that great. The picture is really clear, but there might be some further adjustments that need to be made. I originally purchased the Q90t, but I had to return it because it was having a lot of motion issues, blurring and flickering issues, no matter what I did to the motion settings. The Magnolia guy suggested to exchange it for another one so I did. After further research, I canceled the Q90t exchange and upgraded to this Q800t. I have not experienced any motion issues with the Q800t so far. I'm a Elite protection plan member, so I have to wait at least 90 days of viewing hours before they can come out and perform a calibration on the TV. I think the extra money for the upgrade to the Q800t was well worth it. I know there's not a lot of 8K material, but the up conversion of 4K and 1080p to 8K really makes a difference. So far I'm happy with my purchase.

Crispness and Colors just jump off this 65" 8k Samsung. Even the black colors are deeper! This set is almost the exact same size as my 55" 4k I replaced which gives me 10inch larger views in the same amount of space, awesome! The remote is not what you would expect to come with a TV in this price range and that's my only complaint.

absolutely best TV ever purchased. It has amazing sound and picture quality. It is a beautiful addition to our living room and fits perfectly above our fireplace. The apps are easy to use and you can easily switch between prior channels. We have had the TV for just over 2 years now. The remote sound does not work all the time, but we also have the sound bar and use that remote.

The image quality is exceptional but I had to do some manual adjustments to get it right with my new PS5, which is the reason I purchased this TV. I searched for a video in YouTube which explained how to properly enable the video settings to get the PS5 to send 4K video up to the max 120Hz supported nowadays. I also have to return back to adaptive settings to switch back to use it to watch my TV shows properly, otherwise the brightness and contrast are not as vivid as this device is capable of producing or may too dark for my liking. So I suggest you take some time to fully understand the different video and audio settings available so you can get the most of it. You can always use it as is and you will get a great image quality of course, but in my case I prefer to know how to better calibrate the image and the audio, especially because I also got a Samsung soundar which synchronizes perfectly with this TV. The good thing is that Samsung made the home Menu good enough to set video and quality changes quick with a few clicks.

    Samsung Q800T

This Samsung Q800T 8k model handle 4k content well with excellent contrast and color. And it has easy to use onscreen functions and access to many streaming services. The picture can get very bright and overcome reflections more than an OLED set. On the negative side are many: - The remote control is tiny and has almost no usable buttons - see the Sony remote for a much more effective remote. - The build quality is below average. For example the backing is cheap plastic and pops out from the frame. I called Samsung on this and they say this is the way the 800T model is made. - It does not upscale well at all especially for sports. Regular high def and standard def context is out of focus for people and faces. I spoke with Samsung and they said that this is the way the estimation algorithms calculate to fill in pixels. They recommended only viewing high quality content and Netflix shows. It is not ready for prime time here. - The screen and top of the TV can get very warm.
