To call it a dryer is a misnomer, it is a tumbler. To take at least 2 hours to dry every load (and I use the term "dry" loosely) is an understatement. Oh, it's party. And, it goes with the washer (which, I hope is getting my clothes dry (but, I'm no expert). I HATE being this reviewer. I tried to be patient. I have owned this dryer now for over 4 months. It was a disappointment from the start. I don't believe I ordered the insurance, but also don't feel I should have needed to since it's so early. Plain and simple, the clothes don't dry completely. It doesn't matter which cycle you pick, or the level of "dryness." When you go back and try to add time, the results are the same. With two loads of clothes today, that took hours and still weren't "dry", I am just over it. I feel like I need to declare I am ridiculously patient, but I am just over this whole thing. BTW, I own a Samsung Refridge, Dishwasher, Microwave, and (of course) washing machine. The dryer is a lemon.

Please ensure the dryer is not in ECO DRY mode, as this setting will reduce the power consumption of certain other cycles but will extend the length of the cycle, potentially up to 3 times as long. Eco Dry is on by default on Normal and Time Dry cycles for models with the feature.

Big flaw with this dryer - lint screen design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, this is a VERY poorly designed dryer. The lint screen is very loose and therefore hard to clean, and the lint gets stuck to the sides of the opening before it ever even gets to the screen. Also, this dryer has too many “automatic” features and really denies the user the ability to manually select the type and duration of drying the load. It’s like they put too many “features” (bells and whistles) resulting to make the dryer actually LESS functional. My biggest complaint though goes back to the lint screen and how poorly designed it is. We’ve had the new matching washer and dryer for 6 months now and we’ve had to clean the large lint screen where the air duct exits the house twice because the dryer lint screen doesn’t do a good enough job and lets a large amount of lint go through the exhaust hose. If my 20+ year old Maytag washer hadn’t finally given out I would still have it and the matching dryer. That dryer was much better than this one. That set wasn’t nearly as “fancy,” but it worked WAY better than this set. With all the electronics, I really can't imagine this set lasting more than 5-7 years, and definitely not 20+ with a house of 7 people and being used practically every day.

If you use them alot things will happen. That's why i always buy the longest warranty package avaliable..i own mostly all Samsung appliances. Wish i could own all of them. Great dryer in my opinion.

Even once dryer shuts off I try to enforce a time dry and the sensor still shuts it off while items are still damp! SO frustrating I will never buy this brand again.
