I got this item when I was purchasing a new Samsung front loader washing machine. My dryer is only a year old and perfect working condition, but this dryer was such a good deal (dented floor model) that I decided to purchase ($500 with extended warranty) and also because it would better match my new washer. I've had this for about a month now, and works fine. I haven't tried all the functions on it yet, but I am very happy with it. One downside that I was hoping would not occur being that the capacity is larger than my existing dryer, is that when drying sheets or small comforters, they get balled up and you have to turn them around every once in a while. In conclusion, I don't see what would make this a $1500 dryer, other than being high tech, which is not a selling point for me. I only purchased due to pricing and matching my washer like I said, but I LOVE it for the price. So much better than an old style one!

I was a little worried about spending the money on this but it paid off its super quiet and looks amazing at home

The Samsung machines are beautiful and I love the touch screen feature. It is pleasant to heard music when it is done instead of a buzzer. The dryer works great! I have used the steam feature and especially like it for bedding and towels.

There are lots of settings. Does the job. Stunning appearance.

Just bought this one , and was really happy with overall performance. But if you are looking for APP features , you will be really disappointed , as it more or less useless. may be in future Samsung will provide some upgraded software to use mobile APP more efficiently.

This is a great dryer. Have had it only a few months now and am sure that I haven't used every option available but works great for what I've used it for

Great dryer. It's very quiet and the clothes come out wrinkle.

This is my first front loading washer and dryer system. It's absolutely amazing. I've used front loaders before, and after a little time, they all look cheap, knobs are loose, etc. With the electronic display, this system always maintains an elegant, super-lux quality look. System is easy to operate and the choices are amazing.

Dryer works great, dry's my clothes faster than did the electric. Wife likes the steaming function. It wouldn't stayed connected to wireless, but will try again.

Able to dry large loads . Love the touch screen which tells you the exact time your load will be done.

Costly but so far appears to be worth every cent. Was worried capacity was too large however discovered the capacity allows for much faster drying. Have used steam feature to remove wrinkles from dress shirts. Worked good. Digital panel very intuitive. Purchased to replace front load Siemens dryer. This dryer seems to be so much more efficient than the Siemens. Only negative would be the mobile device interaction. It does not work but that is just a minor setback. It would be nice to have when working in the lower level of the house or out on the yard.

I went by the store to find out why it was missing the shoe rack. they ordered it but I never heard anything back. still waiting

We had for 13 years a drier that never failed but we figured it was time to step up a little. We don't regret it one bit.... It works like a charm.

Great product. With optional pedestals it takes up a lot of room. Wife is very happy with it, especially large size which let's her do less loads

While I had hoped this machine would be used for many years to come. I didn't get past 3.5 years. Continuous repairs for the brain/screen, then not drying completely. Samsung needs to stick to good old-fashioned button, no touchscreen & wifi.

After we took delivery of our DV457 washer and dryer set this evening, my wife pointed out the stack, at 77.2" high with just the washer and dryer themselves (no pedestals), will make the screen of the dryer (always on top of the washer) impossible to read. My wife and I are both 5'9", and, as a test, we both sat in front of the grounded dryer unit to emulate the 8.2" height difference. Because the LCD screen is designed to be read from above, the screen is angled back to face upward. It would have made sense to make this an adjustable screen (such as those on seat backs in the car or on a number of commercial airlines). That seems like something that would have been easy to do. I felt pretty stupid after trying to make quick work out of picking out a stacking washer and dryer. I thought, "how can I go wrong with top of the line?" Clearly, the engineers at Samsung found a way to do just that (lol). To be fair, the user manual does state the following (page 14): "It is not recommended to stack DV457 on your washer. (it might be hard to control dryer LCD because of the viewing angle.)" Talk about the fine print, eh? There is another model, the DV455, that features a dial instead of the LCD screen. This might be more viable for stacking, and it's got all of the rest of the features (steam, controlled by the App via WiFi, etc.). I must admit I was looking forward to using the "Baby" modes on the washer, so, maybe, I'll stick with the washer and swap the dryer. However, I may consider losing the pair altogether based upon the reviews I've read on the LCD screen failure and long intervals for warranty replacement. Either way: Back to Best Buy it goes. We bought these front loaders specifically to save footprint in our laundry closet by stacking them. If we can't control the dryer, the system is worthless (no matter what features it may offer).

Spent over $3000 for "best" washer & dryer. Less than 2 months the dryer broke. Did testing over phone w/ Geek Squad. They scheduled a technician #from 3rd party# to come out and fix it w/ the right parts determined from phone converstation. He called in sick, REALLY? Then on the 2nd scheduled repair appointment the tech doesn't know how to fix it nor does he have the parts determined from the 1st phone call. Now I get the run around from the store I bought if from telling me to call Geek Squad and Geek Squad is telling me to call the store or Corporate Best Buy. The product SUCKS, the Best Buy store in Flint and there management staff SUCKS and Geek Squad SUCKS and the 3rd party repair company #A&E factory service# SUCKS. Really, that is a lot of money for a washer & dryer and get this kind of service! I even spent $250 for the Geek Squad 2 year extended warranty. Be a LOOOOOOONG time before I buy Samsung #NEVER AGAIN# or anything from Best Buy.
